Do not disregard the safety that a polarized or grounded connection can provide. A polarized connection consists of two plugs, one of which is larger than the other. A grounded connection has two blades and a third one that is grounded. If the main plug provided cannot be inserted into your outlet, consult an electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.

General Guideline

Keep the product at least 13 cm (5 inches)away from electrical appliances that can generate a strong magnetic field such as TV, refrigerator, motor, or a large audio speaker.

Do not place heavy objects on top of the tablet computer as this may damage the display.

The screen surface can be easily scratched. Use with care. Do not use paper towels to clean the display but use the included cleaning cloth. Avoid touching it with a pen or pencil.

To maximize the life of the backlight in the display, allow backlight to automatically turn off as a result of power management. Avoid using a screen saver or other software that prevents the power management from working.

Touchscreen Guideline

Use your finger or the stylus on the display. Using sharp or metallic object may cause scratches and damage the display, thereby causing errors.

Use a soft cloth to remove dirt on the display. The touchscreen surface has a special protective coating that prevents dirt from sticking to it. Not using a soft cloth may cause damage to the special protective coating on the touchscreen surface. To clean off hard to remove dirt, blow some steam on the particular area and gently wipe away using a soft cloth.

HotKey for Specific Functions
For the physical buttons on the tablet computer, in addition to its dedicated functions detailed in the previous section, it can also be used to emulate commonly used keyboard key strokes. First-time Operation
Inserting Battery Pack
To insert the standard battery pack into the Tablet Computer:
1. Disconnect AC adapter and power cord from the tablet computer.
2. Turn the tablet computer over, back facing up.
3. Locate the Battery Lock Latch and push it to the Unlocked position.
4. Locate the Battery Release Slider that is spring-loaded. Pull back and hold.
5. Insert the battery on the connector-pins side first, and then lower the battery into the battery compartment. Continue to hold the Battery Release Slider before battery is fully inserted.
6. Make sure the battery is completely lowered into the compartment before letting go the Battery Release Slider. Battery will be flat against the housing once fully inserted.
Removing the Battery Pack
1. Power off the tablet computer (or put it to sleep). Disconnect any cords connected to the computer.
2. Turn the tablet computer over, back facing up.
3. Locate the Battery Lock Latch and push it to the Unlocked position.
4. Locate the Battery Release Slider that is spring-loaded. Pull back and hold.
5. Lift the battery out using the opening on side of battery compartment.

Connecting to Power Supply
The Tablet Computer operates either on external AC power or internal battery power. It is recommended to use AC power when you start up the Tablet Computer for the first time.
CAUTION
Use only the AC adapter included with your Tablet Computer. Using other AC adapters may damage the Tablet Computer and the Battery.
CAUTION
For users start up the Tablet Computer for the first time with internal battery power, please make sure the battery is fully charged before using.
Perform the following to connect the Tablet computer to AC Power:
1. On the side of the Tablet computer, lift the I/O protective cover by pulling on the latch
2. Plug the DC cord of the AC adapter into the Power Jack of the tablet computer.
3. Plug the AC power cord into the AC adapter.
4. Finally, Plug the AC power cord into the electrical outlet.
When the AC Adapter is connected, the battery pack starts charging. The battery LED indicator on the tablet computer would show different states. Please refer to description of LED indicator on Description of Parts.

Powering On and Off
Powering On
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the blue LED power indicator light up.
NOTE:
Do not press the power button repeatedly. Do not perform the following operations until the Disk Activity Indicator off.
o Connecting or disconnecting the AC adapter. o Pressing the power button. o Touching the tablet buttons, screen, or external keyboard/mouse.
Powering Off
Perform the following procedure to power off the Tablet Computer:
1. Make sure you have closed any programs that are open on the Desktop. Start Screen apps don’t need to be closed.
2. Tap on the Session indicator on the menu bar.
3. Tap on Shut Down.
4. Wait for Tablet Computer to power off.
NOTE:
The computer will forcibly be powered off if the power button is pressed and held for 6 seconds or longer.

CHAPTER 3: SETTING UP UBUNTU FOR THE FIRST TIME
The Menu Bar
The menu bar incorporates common functions used in Ubuntu. The icons on the far right of the menu bar are located in an area of the menu bar called the indicator area, or notification area.
Network indicator
Network indicator ( ) manages network connections, allowing you to connect quickly and
easily to a wired or wireless network. Note: The network connection states: (a) disconnected, (b) wired, and (c) wireless.
You can access Network Manager by using its icon found in the top panel. This icon may look different depending on your current connection state. Clicking this icon will reveal a list of
available network connections. The current connections (if any) will have the word “disconnect” underneath. You can click on “disconnect” to manually disconnect from that network.
This menu also allows you to view technical details about your current connection or edit all connection settings
In the image to the right, you will see a check mark next to
Enable Networking.” Deselect “Enable Networking” to disable all network connections. Select “Enable Networking” to enable networking again. This can be very
useful when you are required to turn off all wireless communications, like in an airplane. .
Text entry settings
Text entry settings ( ) shows the current keyboard layout (such as En, Fr, Ku, and so on)
and, if more than one keyboard layout is chosen, allows you to select a keyboard layout. The keyboard indicator menu contains the following menu items: Character Map, Keyboard Layout Chart, and Text Entry Settings.

Sound indicator
Sound indicator ( ) provides an easy way to adjust the sound volume as well as access
your music player and sound settings.
Clock
Clock ( ) displays the current time and provides a link to your calendar and time and
date settings.
Session indicator
Session indicator ( ) is a link to the system settings, Ubuntu Help, and session options
(like locking your computer, user/guest session, logging out of a session, restarting the computer, or shutting down completely).

The Launcher
The vertical bar of icons on the left side of the desktop is called the Launcher. The Launcher provides easy access to applications, mounted devices, and the Trash.
All running applications on your system will place an icon in the Launcher while the application is running. To change the Launcher icon size, go to System Settings and under Appearance page.
The first icon at the top of the Launcher is the Dash, a component of Unity. We will explore the Dash in a later section of this chapter. By default, other applications appear in the Launcher, including the Files file manager, LibreOffice, Firefox, any mounted devices, and the Trash, which contains deleted folders and files, at the bottom of the Launcher. If you open more applications than can be shown in the Launcher, the Launcher will “fold” the application icons at the bottom of the Launcher. Simply move your mouse to the bottom of the Launcher, and you’ll see the Launcher icons “slide” and the folded application icons unfold for easy access.
The Dash
The Dash helps you quickly find applications and files on your computer, and allows you to search for information both locally (installed applications, recent files, bookmarks, etc.) and remotely (Twitter, Google Docs, etc.).
To explore the Dash, click on the topmost icon on the Launcher; the icon contains the Ubuntu logo on it. After clicking the Dash icon, the desktop will be overlaid by a translucent window with a search bar on top as well as a grouping of recently accessed applications, files, and downloads.

Lenses
Lenses act as specialized search categories in the Dash: searching is accomplished by
utilizing one or more lenses, also known as scopes, and each lens is responsible for providing a category of search results through the Dash. The six lenses installed by default at the bottom are: Home lens, Applications lens, Files and Folders lens, Videos lens, Music lens, and Photos lens.
Camera
Please make sure the Camera is enabled in Win-set utility . Go to the desktop and press on Cheese Webcam Booth and then it will show as below, now
user can take a picture or video. There are three ways for user to choose.

Preferences
When user press on the Preferences, there will be a window jump out.
Webcam User can switch to rear camera or front camera, and also adjust the resolution of photo and video under webcam page.
Image User can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue of photo to add value by dragging the bar to right.

Ubuntu Software
In Ubuntu, the quickest and easiest way to find and install new applications is through Ubuntu Software. Ubuntu Software is your very own store-front and gives you instant access to thousands of great applications. Some of these applications are free to download whereas others are available commercially. Each application within Ubuntu Software comes with ratings and reviews making it easier for you to decide which of the applications you want to install.
To start Ubuntu Software, click on its icon in the Launcher, or click on the Dash and search for Ubuntu Software.
Adding Device
With USB drive stick
When user adds a device as USB drive stick, it will show on the bottom of the Launcher list.

Managing Windows & Control application’s menu
This is the top bar of a window, named title bar. The close, minimize, and maximize buttons are in the top-left corner of the window.
To show an application’s menu, just move your mouse to the desktop’s menu bar (at the top of
the screen).
Call Up Keyboard
There are three ways to call up keyboard as below for user to choose.
1. User press this button, then the keyboard will show up .
2. Press on the menu bar and choose show Onboard.
3. Search Onboard on the dash to do the keyboard setting.

CHAPTER 4: OPERATING THE DEVICE
Win-Set Introduction
Win-set provides quick access to the tablets functions and features, such as setting up shortcuts, using camera, powering on/off built-in devices, programming function key, and changing power management.
As operating system starts up, Win-Set starts and runs in the background. To display the Win­set control utility, press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR launching the
Win-set Utility application.

NOTE:

Function Buttons
Set up On-screen Function Buttons
Win-set Function Buttons Menu provides a user-friendly interface to allow users to quickly access programs with pressing the physical function buttons. This menu offers 4 empty slots to store users desired quick access, two for short press function; and the other two for long press function, user can define which type of press to enable the function, also the up down keys for adjusting volume or brightness.

When the device is configured with barcode reader, the FN2 button will be a trigger key for barcode and can’t be changed.

To store a new shortcut:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Function Buttons Page.
3. Tap on button to define the function of quick access.
4. A select window will appear.
5. Find the desired application to have shortcut.
6. By pressing on the physical Function Buttons, it will quick access to the desired application.
NOTE:
When user choose Touchscreen Lock as function button, after
pressing on it, there will be a lock icon show up on the menu bar. To cancel touchscreen lock, just need to press on the function button again.
When user chooses Volume Mute as function button, just need to
press the Fn button again to release.
To remove an saved shortcut:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Function Buttons button.
3. Tap on the button of any saved slot to remove.
4. Shortcut will be removed, and once again show Empty to indicate slot is empty.

Restore to Default
When user want to reset the definition of function buttons, please press on the button
Restore to Default back to default mode. Up/Down Keys
User can adjust the brightness or volume by pressing these two function button and define the function from Win-set Utility. By pressing on +, it will add value ; pressing on -, it will decrease the value.
Tap on the button will hide the Win-set Utility Menu.

Barcode Scanner
IMPORTANT
The 2D/1D Barcode Reader is optional for M101BU Tablet PC and is not re­workable by the end user. To use this feature, please make sure the tablet PC is built-in barcode reader before use, or contact our sales contact window for more details.
To enable the Barcode Reader feature, perform the following procedure:
1. Open Win-set utility by pressing (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR launching Win-set Utility application.

Trigger mode options
User can define the barcode scanner trigger mode from Trigger mode options drop-down menu.
Continuous
Under Continuous mode, the barcode scanner processes auto-scan continuously. The scanning light and pattern will be always on.
Level
Under Level mode, the barcode scanner follows trigger button behavior. The scanning light will be on when the Fn2 button is triggered, and off when the barcode is successfully read or the Fn2 button is released.
Pulse
Under Pulse mode, user can define the scanning time after each trigger. The scanning light will be on when the Fn2 button is triggered, and off when the barcode is successfully read or the defined read time ends. To set up the scanning time, tap on the Read time options drop-down menu and choose a preferred time frame (options from 0 second to 9 seconds).
Flashing
Under Flashing mode, the scanning light is flashing, and the barcode scanner processes auto-scan with the same frequency.

The default setting for RFID trigger is Auto Scan. Under this setting, the RFID Reader will always be ready to scan tags.
1. When the RFID tag is detected from RFID antenna, the data will be read automatically.
2. User can define the RFID scanning frequency from the drop-down menu shown as below. The frequency can be from 1 second to 9 seconds.
Single Scan
User can also define the RFID Reader scanning as Single Scan. Under this setting, the RFID Reader will be triggered when user click on Send or through Function button. Wi-Fi
Using the Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) feature
To use the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) feature to connect to the network, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Device Control page.
3. If the Wi-Fi feature is disabled, it will display the green color button on OFF, press on
ON button to enable it, and the color of ON button will be green.
4. Click the wireless network connection status icon in the notification area. A list of
available wireless networks is displayed.
5. Double-click a network to connect to it. Provide required authentication information if
needed.
6. To check the connection status, observe wireless network connection status icon in the
notification area. The more bars the icon shows, the better the wireless LAN connection strength is.
7. Now wireless LAN connection is setup, try connection to the network with a internet
browser such as Internet Explorer.

Bluetooth
Using the Bluetooth
To enable the wireless Bluetooth feature, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Device Control page.
3. If the Bluetooth feature is disabled, it will display the green color button on OFF, press
on ON button to enable it, and the color of ON button will be green.
4. Click the Bluetooth icon in the notification area. A contextual menu for Bluetooth is
displayed.
5. To add a device, tap on Add a Bluetooth Device, and it will search any Bluetooth device
automatically
6. Choose the Bluetooth device that user wants to connect and follow onscreen prompt to
continue the pair procedure and use the Bluetooth device.
GNSS
Using the GNSS
To enable the wireless GNSS feature, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Device Control page.
3. If the GNSS feature is disabled, it will display the green color button on OFF, press ON
button to enable it, and the color of ON button will be green.
4. Now the GNSS feature is ready to be used with an application utilizing the GNSS.

GNSS Antenna
Turn On and Off the GNSS External Antenna
IMPORTANT
The vehicle dock of M101BU Tablet PC supports external GNSS antenna through standard SMA connector. To work with external GNSS antenna, please make sure the tablet PC is well installed to vehicle dock, and the vehicle dock has connected with external GNSS antenna.
When working with vehicle dock connecting to external antenna, user can switch GNSS antenna from the internal one to the external one from Win-set menu. To enable/disable the GNSS Ext. Antenna, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Device Control page.
3. If the GNSS Ext. Antenna feature is disabled, it will display the green color button on
Internal, switch to the External button to enable it, and the color of External button will be green.

WWAN
Using the Wireless WAN (3G/LTE) feature
Insert SIM card (For Optional 3G/LTE equipped device)
CAUTION
Please power off the tablet before installing the 3G/LTE module and Micro SIM card, or the tablet computer might be damaged by the incorrect installation behaviors.
The Tablet Computer supports data connection with 3G/LTE modules and fits Micro-SIM card. (Note: 3G/LTE feature is optional). Before using the data connection program, please perform the following procedures to insert the Micro-SIM card to your Tablet Computer:
1. Power off the Tablet Computer.
2. Remove the service window in the rear by unscrewing four screws.
3. Remove the screw that is securing the 3G/LTE module.
4. Carefully lift the 3G wireless module up, and be cautious not to damage the connected
cable.
5. Make sure the SIM card IC contact patch is faced down, notch is in the direction of
insertion (towards right).
6. Insert the SIM card into the slot located near the right side of the service window.
7. Reposition the removed 3G/LTE module screw to secure the 3G/LTE module.
8. Reposition the removed service window screw to secure the service window.

Using Wireless WAN Feature
For tablets equipped with wireless WAN (3G or 4G/LTE) card, to use the wireless WAN feature to connect to the network, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on the Device Control page.
3. If the WWAN feature is disabled, it will display the green color button on OFF, press on
ON button to enable it, and the color of ON button will be green.
4. Please click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar, and it will list a menu, then click on New
Mobile Broadband connection.
5. There will a window jump out, please click on Next.
6. Choose the country or region, and click on Next.

Light Indicators
Turn On and Off the LED Indicators
The LED Indicators for Power Status, Battery Status, and RF Communication can be turned on/off from Win-set menu. To enable/disable the LED indicators, perform the following procedure:
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on Device Control page to check the built-in devices status.
3. If the light indicators is disabled, it will display the green color button on OFF, switch to
the ON button to enable it.
Device Rotation
Rotate the device through different direction
User can rotate the device by Win-set utility through the direction user desired.
1. Open the Win-set utility by press the (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching the Win-set Utility application.
2. Tap on Device Control page, and look for Device Rotation.
3. Choose the direction user want to rotate, with the icon indicated the direction, offer two
ways to choose, left side or right side with 90 degree rotation. If user want to rotate with 180 degree just double click on the button with the desired direction, and 270 degree with triple click, and so on.
4. When rotated the device, if the Win-set expands to outside of the display area, please
press the (Menu) button located on the front panel to make it back in the middle of the display.

Touch Mode
Touchscreen Modes
The M101BU offer 3 built-in touch modes for users to choose under different usage scenarios, when the mode is chosen, the background of the icon will become green.
Mode
Usage Scenario
The Hand/Rain mode is the default operating mode of the touchscreen. Under this mode, the touchscreen is set to have the ability to reject false touch inputs while liquid is present on the touchscreen. Once the liquid is removed from the touchscreen, touch inputs from bare fingertips will continue to operate. Support the following input solutions:
Active stylus w/ palm rejection  Rubber Tip passive stylus  Finger
Under the Stylus mode, the touchscreen is set to have the ability to pick up touch inputs from the fine-tip passive capacitive stylus that is shipped with the tablet. Touch inputs from bare fingertips will also continue to operate. Support the following input solutions:

Changing Touchscreen Mode
There are 2 ways to switch between the different touchscreen operating modes:
1. Via the built-in Win-set utility.
2. Via the programmable function buttons.
1. Switch via Built-in Win-set Utility
To switch between the different touchscreen modes via the Win-set utility, perform the following procedure:
(1) Open Win-set utility by pressing (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching Win-set utility application.
(2) Click on Touch mode (3) Select the desired touch modes by tapping on the radio button. (4) Now the touchscreen mode would behave as configured.

2. Switch via Programmable Function Buttons:
To switch between the different touchscreen modes via the programmable function buttons, make sure the touchscreen mode switching is set to the programmable function buttons first.
(1) Open Win-set utility by pressing (Menu) Button located on the front panel, OR
launching Win-set Utility application.
(2) Tap on the Function Buttons page. (3) Choose the touch switch function you desired by Long Press or Short Press the
button and Fn1 or Fn2.
(4) Select Touch Mode Switch as shown below:
Once the touchscreen mode switching is set to the programmable function button, by pressing the button user can switch to the different touchscreen modes. When touchscreen mode is switched, a window will temporarily overlay on the screen to indicate current touchscreen mode:

CHAPTER 5: FREQUENTLY USED SETTINGS
Screen Resolution Scaling and Setting
The M101s 1920 x 1200 high resolution display is perfect for viewing image, video, or other applications, however, Ubuntu user interface (icons, buttons, and other user interface elements) may be too small to read and operate at the default Ubuntu settings. By changing the display scaling or the display resolution setting of the device, you can adjust the size of the text and other items on the desktop for optimal viewing. Display scaling is the recommended method because it has the effect of adjusting user interface element without having to move away from the optimal resolution setting at 1920 x 1200. This section will explain how you can adjust the built-in windows display scaling setting and resolution setting.
NOTE:
The Tablet computer is shipped with display scaling set at 1.88 under the Scale
for menu and title bars of Displays setting. We recommend the users set the scaling to this setting for optimal text and image viewing.
Before proceeding to change the scaling option, make sure any opened
document is saved and close, and all running applications are closed before proceeding to change the display scaling, because this procedure requires users to log out of their account to apply display scaling change.
Changing Display Scaling Setting (Recommended)
Perform the following to change display scaling setting:
1. Drag the Scale for menu and title bars to the right to enlarge the size, and vise-versa.
1. Hit Apply. A prompt Does the display look OK? prompt will show up to ask the user if the applied resolution is usable, then hit “Keep This Configuration, and then close the window.
2. Now user can use the device with the new scaling setting.

Changing Screen Resolution Setting
Alternatively, instead of changing the display scaling setting, user may choose to change the overall resolution setting to make screen elements bigger.
Please follow the step as below to change the resolution.
3. Press on System Settings and choose Displays
4. Click on the Resolution drop-down button and choose the resolution you want.
5. Hit Apply. A prompt Does the display look OK? prompt will show up to ask the user if the applied resolution is usable, then hit “Keep This Configuration, and then close the window.
6. Now user can use the device with the new resolution setting.

Replacing Hot Swappable Battery (For M101BU)
The tablet computer supports hot-swapping of batteries, meaning the tablet doesnt need to be powered off in order to replace the main battery. To support such mechanism, there is a backup battery inside the tablet that is charged up with the main battery. This backup battery cannot be removed, and needs to have adequate power for hot swapping of main battery to be done without issue. When the backup battery is fully charged, it can sustain up to 5 minutes of runtime to allow for battery hot-swapping.
Perform the following to hot swap the batteries:
1. While the tablet is powered on, go to Win-set utility to check on the power level of the Backup battery.
2. If the Backup battery level is at Low”, please charge the tablet with AC Power until the Backup battery level is at Medium or High, and do not remove the main battery.
3. If the Backup battery level is at Medium or High, continue to remove the main battery.
4. Insert a new charged up removable battery into the battery compartment.
5. Go to Win-set utility to check if Main battery level can be correctly read. If not, check if the new removable battery is inserted properly.
6. If Main battery level can be read, continue to use the tablet computer.
CAUTION
To keep battery health and prevent possible issues from battery over-discharged, please charge the tablet built-in back-up battery once for every 2 months.

Using Recovery to Restore Computer
How to Create a Bootable Recovery USB
This section details the required steps to create a bootable recovery USB drive from Recovery ISO image file provided by Winmate.
This procedure essentially utilizes a tool to package Recovery ISO image provided by Winmate into a bootable recovery USB drive. This bootable recovery USB drive then can be used to install a new OS build to the tablet computer.
Requirements
1. An empty USB drive that is at least 16 GB or larger.
2. Winmate Recovery ISO Image File.
3. Bootable USB Creation Tool: Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.5.2.exe.
4. Windows PC.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure your tablet computer has at least 64GB of storage.
Procedure
Warning: Before starting the bootable USB drive creation process, be sure to backup all
original files on the USB, as all data will be lost after the creation process.
1. Have the Winmate Recovery ISO image file downloaded and ready to be used on the Windows PC.
2. Plug-in the USB drive to the Windows PC.
3. When the USB drive loads, format the USB drive to FAT32 format.
4. Copy the Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.5.2.exe to desktop.

CHAPTER 6: TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting (Basic)
Problem
Solution
The removable battery is not charging.
Make sure the AC adapter is properly
connected, and that the removable battery is properly inserted.
Nothing appears on the screen.
The tablet computer may be in sleep mode.
Press the power button to wake up the display.
The brightness level may be too low. Increase
brightness.
The screen suddenly turns blank and the power indicator goes off.
Make sure that LED indicator is not powered
off in Win-Set.
Make sure the AC adapter is properly
connected.
If running on battery power, the battery may
be depleted, charge the battery.
Wireless LAN signal quality is poor.
The tablet computer may be out of range.
Move the tablet computer closer to the access point or another wireless LAN device associated with it.
Check if your surroundings have
interferences, such as microwave ovens, cordless phones. Move the tablet computer away from objects causing interference.
I cannot connect to another wireless LAN device.
Make sure that wireless LAN feature is
powered on.
Make sure that the SSID setting is the same
for every wireless LAN device in the network.
Restart the tablet computer. Make sure the IP address or subnet mask
setting is correct.
I cannot connect to another device with Bluetooth.
Make sure that both devices have Bluetooth
powered on (For the Tablet Computer, check Win-Set to see if Bluetooth is powered on).
Make sure that the distance between the two
devices is within 10 meters and there are no walls or large obstructions between the devices.
Make sure the both devices are powered on
and configured to be discoverable.
Make sure that both devices are compatible.

The GPS application cannot find my location.
Make sure that GPS is powered on in
Win-set.
Make sure that GPS receiver and the location
sensor are enabled in Control Panel.
The tablet computer may be out of coverage
area. Move your tablet computer outdoors or closer to a window.
Check if your surroundings have
interferences, such as microwave ovens, cordless phones. Move the tablet computer away from objects causing interference.
No sound is produced.
Adjust volume of the tablet computer by
pressing on the volume rocker.
If using an external audio device, make sure
that the cable is properly connected.
I cannot project the tablet computer display to another monitor.
Make sure the VGA driver is installed. Make sure the output setting selected is
correct.
Barcode scanner does not emit laser beam and does not seem to work.
Make sure the Barcode scanner device is
enabled in Win-set utility.
Barcode Scanner emits laser beam but does not read barcode presented to it.
Adjust the distance between barcode scanner
of the device and the barcode being scanned.
Make sure the barcode code type is enabled
in the tablet. To enable/disable a specific barcode code type, go through the Barcode Scanner Configuration section.
I am having GPS accuracy issue
When utilizing the GPS function, we
recommend disabling the Barcode Reader in Win-Set to reduce interference.
RFID scanner does not seem to work.
Make sure the RFID device is enabled in Win-
Set utility.
