Instruction
The Motion Sensor is desi gned to b e used in doors o r out. Wh en moun ted properly it can monito r large o r open ar eas suc h as entrances, living roo ms, fam ily roo ms, dri veway s, back yards , walkways, workshops, etc. Wh en the Se nsor de tects m otion , it will transmit a signal to the Cont rol Cen ter. The Zon e selec tion an d settings on the Control Ce nter de termi ne if an al arm or an alert sounds.
Preparing the Motion Se nso r for I nst all ation
1.The Motion Sensor con sists o f 2 parts – The S ensor (Tra nsmit ter) an d the wall mount. Before ins talli ng,re move th e screw f rom the battery door on the back of the Se nsor. You’ ll need t o attac h the bat tery le ads to CR123A 3V battery;Take c are to no te the polarity markings. Replace t he batt ery cov er and se cure sc rew. bat tery in the Motion Sensor ca n last up t o 9 month s.
2.Use the ball-head mou nt to mou nt the Se nsor. The mi nimum s pacin g recommended is 5-6 ft, dep endin g on wher e you wan t to mount the Motion Sensor. Once the l ocati on is sel ected , befor e mount ing you should perform a man ual tes t to confi rm the Moti on Sensor is within range of C ontro l Cente r. Refer t o the Testing a S ensor section on pg 7. Mount the ball -head j oint to the location with screws provi ded. On ce the ba ll-he ad join t is mounted to the wall, slide the bac k of the se nsor on to the ball-head joint. The moun ting an gle can b e adjus ted.
3.Erasing the Sensor from a Zone
If you n eed to remove the Sensor fro m a Zone, t he syst em will e rase th e entir e Zone, so any other Sensors will nee d to be put
back into that particular Zone .Step 1 - To eras e a Zone, p ress an d hold th e Learn button on the Control Cente r. Th e unit wi ll beep once.Step 2 - While holding t he Lear n butto n, pres s and hol d the Zone button to be erased. After fiv e secon ds the Co ntrol Center will sound two bee ps and th e Zone LE D indic ator wi ll flash t wice.Step 3 - Release all bu ttons . Th e Zone ha s been er ased. and delay time for next Trigger : 35 se c.
Note: T he Zone /Moti on Sens or cann ot be era sed if:
The Zone has been triggered f or an Aler t or alar m. The Sens or/Zo ne must b e reset.There is loss of sig nal fro m the Sen sor to the Control Center (such as low ba ttery, or Se nsor is o ut of ran ge).T he syst em is armed.The Control Ce nter wi ll soun d three beeps to indicate it could not era se the Zo ne.

Low Battery Indicator
The Control Center cont inuou sly mon itors a ll the Se nsors . If the Co ntrol Center does not receive a signal from any S ensor i t will be gin rap idly fla shing t he Zone LED indicator . This indicates one or more Sen sors in t he Zone m ay have l ow batt ery pow er and are unable to transmit a signal the necessa ry dist ance. I f all bat terie s and/o r Sensors are installed at the same time into a Zone, it is reco mmend ed to rep lace th e batte ries in a ll Sensors in the Zone.However, you can ch eck the M otion S ensor s tatus i ndepe ndently by placing the Con trol Center in Test mode (see Testi ng a Sens or on pag e 7) and tr igger t he Sens or separately. If mounted, wave hand in front of Se nsor, or p ress ac tivat ion but ton for t wo seconds inside battery compartment. If the Se nsor do es not tr igger a n alert t hen rep lace the battery with a new one.
Note: T he Sens or dete ction s ystem i s ‘rang e dependant’, which mean s Senso rs loca ted
closer to the Control Cen ter may s eem to ha ve batt eries t hat las t longe r than those Sensors at a greater distance. Als o, keep i n mind, b ecaus e the Mot ion Sen sor is continually check ing for activity the battery life is l ess tha n the lit hium ce ll batt eries i n the other Sensors.
