Important safeguards
1.Do not attempt to disassembl e the PIR S ensor, u nless d escri bed in th e user’s manual. Th ere are n o user se rvice able pa rts.
2.Handle with Care – Avoid str iking o r shaki ng. Imp roper u se or sto rage could damage the PTR Se nsor. Mo difyi ng or tam perin g
the device or its internal compo nents c an caus e a malfu nctio n and voi d the PIR Sensor’s warra nty.

Instruction
The PIR Sensor is designe d to be use d indoo rs or out . When mo unted p roperly it can monitor large or ope n areas s uch as
entrances, living roo ms, fam ily roo ms, dri veway s, back yards , walkways, workshops, e tc. Whe n the Sen sor det ects mo tion, i t
will transmit a signal to the Cont rol Cen ter. The Zon e selec tion an d settings on the Control Ce nter de termi ne if an al arm or an
alert sounds.
Preparing the PIR Senso r for I nst all ati on
1.The PIR Sensor consists of 2 par ts – The Sens or(Transm itter ) and the w all mount. Before installing, r emove t he the ba ttery
of the S ensor. You’ll need to at tach th e batte ry lead s to CR12 3A 3V batt ery; Take care to note the polarit y marki ngs. Re place
the battery cover and secure scr ew. batt ery in th e PIR Sen sor can l ast up to 9 m onths.
2.Use the ball-head mou nt to mou nt the Se nsor. The mi nimum s pacin g recommended is 5-6 ft, dep endin g on wher e you wan t to
mount the PIR Sensor. Once the loca tion is s elect ed, bef ore mou nting y ou should perform a manual t est to co nfirm th e
PIR Se nsor is within range of Cont rol Cen ter. Ref er to the Testi ng a Sens or section on pg 7. Mount the ba ll-he ad join t to
the location with screws provi ded. On ce the ba ll-he ad join t is mounted to the wall, slide the bac k of the se nsor on to the
ball-head joint. The moun ting an gle can b e adjus ted.
3.Erasing the Sensor from a Zone
If you n eed to remove the Sensor fro m a Zone, t he syst em will e rase th e entir e Zone, so any other Sensors will nee d to be put
back into that particular Zone .Step 1 - To eras e a Zone, p ress an d hold th e Learn button on the Control Cente r. Th e unit wi ll
beep once.Step 2 - While holding t he Lear n butto n, pres s and hol d the Zone button to be erased. After fiv e secon ds the Co ntrol
Center will sound two bee ps and th e Zone LE D indic ator wi ll flash t wice.Step 3 - Release all bu ttons . Th e Zone ha s been er ased.
and delay time for next Trigger : 35 se c.
Note: T he Zone /PIR Se nsor ca nnot be e rased i f:
The Zone has been triggered f or an Aler t or alar m. The Sens or/Zo ne must b e reset. There is loss of signal f rom the S ensor t o
the Control Center (such as low ba ttery, or Se nsor is o ut of ran ge).T he syst em is armed. The Control Cente r will so und thr ee
beeps to indicate it could not era se the Zo ne.
Low Battery Indicator
The Control Center cont inuou sly mon itors a ll the Se nsors . If the Co ntrol Center does not
receive a signal from any S ensor i t will be gin rap idly fla shing t he Zone LED indicator . This
indicates one or more Sen sors in t he Zone m ay have l ow batt ery pow er and are unable
to transmit a signal the necessa ry dist ance. I f all bat terie s and/o r Sensors are installed
at the same time into a Zone, it is reco mmend ed to rep lace th e batte ries in a ll Sensors in the
Zone. However, you can che ck the PI R Senso r statu s indep enden tly by placing the Control
Center in Test mode (see Testi ng a Sens or on pag e 7) and tr igger t he Sens or separately.
If mounted, wave hand in front of Se nsor, or p ress ac tivat ion but ton for t wo seconds inside
battery compartment. If the Se nsor do es not tr igger a n alert t hen rep lace the battery with a
new one.
Note: T he Sens or dete ction s ystem i s ‘rang e dependant’, which mean s Senso rs loca ted
closer to the Control Cen ter may s eem to ha ve batt eries t hat las t longe r than those Sensors
at a greater distance. Als o, keep i n mind, b ecaus e the Mot ion Sen sor is continually checking
for activity the battery life is l ess tha n the lit hium ce ll batt eries i n the other Sensors.
