BATTERIES
The PPA R19 Receiver can use two (2) disposable AA batteries (BAT 001) or two (2) AA rechargeable batteries (BAT 026).
Caution: Do not attempt to recharge disposable batteries. They may rupture, causing injury. Do not open batteries or dispose of batteries in fire.
Installation and Replacement
1. Open the battery compartment by using a coin in the slot on the receiver’s bottom.
2. Press the batteries into place, observing proper polarity.
3. When the sound becomes weak or distorted, replace the batteries.
Recharging
Rechargeable batteries must be charged overnight before using them the first time. The BAT 026 rechargeable batteries can be charged with the CHG 200 Drop–in Charger. To recharge:
1. Plug the wall transformer into a 110 V wall outlet and the CHG 200.
2. Place one or two R19 Receivers in
the CHG 200. Make sure the receivers have been turned off.
3. Allow the receivers to charge for
approximately 14 hours.
It’s best to let the batteries fully discharge before recharging. Fully charged batteries will usually provide 50 hours of use per charge and can be recharged approximately 300–500 times.
Note: The BAT 026 provides longer life than other rechargeables. Do not substitute other rechargeable batteries and chargers.
Additional Frequencies
The R19 Receiver operates on fixed crystals and tuning for the R19 receiver is highly stable over the life of the receiver.
If alternate frequencies are necessary, return the receivers to your dealer for new crystals. There are 10 standard frequencies available.
