Williams Sound is ready to revolutionize the world of assistive listening with the introduction of FM Plus -- the industry’s first
dual-transmission system able to broadcast both FM and Wi-Fi audio from a single device.
Often, the integrator’s most dicult choice when designing an assistive listening system is deciding between an FM or Wi-Fi
solution for their customer. With FM Plus, the customer gets both for little more than the cost of an FM-only solution. The FM
Plus integrates the new WaveCAST Wi-Fi audio server technology into a Williams Sound FM assistive listening system. End
users can now listen with either an FM receiver or with their own smartphone (via the WaveCAST Listening App). With this
flexibility comes exceptional audio quality, as the FM Plus is built on a professional digital audio (DSP) platform. In addition,
its optional Dante interface provides integrators with a full digital audio networking solution.
FM Plus is designed for those who want to use their own smartphones and headphones for a more discreet assistive
listening experience. Simplicity is also available for those who want a more traditional assistive listening system with a
dedicated FM receiver and headset. FM Plus supports both the new iOS and Android WaveCAST Apps -- in addition to all
current and legacy Williams Sound FM receivers operating on the 72-76 MHz bandwidth.
