Wiha Services – Calibration and Co.
During daily use, calibrated torque tools are subjected to
natural wear and tear. Torque tools therefore have to be
calibrated on a regular and defined basis. This is the
only way to ensure repeat precision and reliability
during the life cycle of the tool.
The industrial standard recommends that torque
tools are tested (calibrated) latest after 5000 uses
or after 12 months, whichever is earlier.
Even more frequent testing is recommended
for safety-related fastening processes or
intensive use of torque tools.
