Getting to Know Your Timer
1) Spacer clips - Insert below buttons on top of timer when not in use to prevent timer from
starting
2) Turn buttons – When a player finishes their turn they depress their button to start their
opponent’s time

5) Minute hand – Keeps track of minutes in the game
6) Second hand – Keeps track of seconds in the game
Rear View
1) Setting knob – Used to set the time on the right side of the timer
2) Battery cover – Remove to install on AA battery (not included)
3) Setting knob – Used to set the time on the left side of the timer
Instructions for Use
1. Install the AA battery (not included) in the back of the timer by removing the battery cover.
Be sure to match the (+) and (-) ends of the battery to the image on the inside of the battery compartment.
2. Ensure that the two buttons on the top of the timer are in the middle position (neither fully up
nor down). This will ensure that the timer is not turned on. If desired you can insert one spacer clip underneath each button on the top of the timer to ensure the timer is not on.
3. Use the setting knobs on the back of the timer to set both the minute and hour hands to 12
position. Don’t worry about the second hand (red hand).
4. After determining the length of time each player will receive, set each side to the amount of
time desired using the setting knobs on the back of the timer. For example, if you want each side to have 30 minutes of game time move the minute hand counter clockwise on each side of the timer to the 6 position.
5. After the time has been set for each player the player who will play second will depress the
button on the top of his/her side of the timer (be sure to remove the spacer clips if you have not already done so) and the timer on the opposite side will begin to count down.
6. When the first player has completed their turn he/she presses the button on the top of their
side of the timer which will activate the other side of the timer.
