DRYER OPERATING iNSTRUCTiONS
Before Operating Your Dryer
Read your dryer Owner's Guide. It has impor-
tant safety and warranty information. It also has
many suggestions for best drying results.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock or injury to persons, read the IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS in your dryer Owner's
Guide before operating this appliance.
Operating Steps
Read "Drying Procedures" in your Owner's Guide.
It explains these operating steps in detail.
1. Prepare items for drying.
2. Check that lint filter is clean and in place.
3. Load the dryer. Ifdesired, add a dryer fabric
softener sheet. Close the door.
4. Select the appropriate cycle and settings for
each load.
• Turn the Cycle Selector knob to select the
cycle.The estimated drying time will be
displayed.
Suitable drying temperature, dryness level and
options will automatically be indicated for each
cycle. To change the temperature and dryness
level, press TEMP and DRYNESS until the
desired selections are made.
To select an option, press OPTIONS until the
indicator for a desired option flashes and press
Select. Follow the same steps to delete an
option.
If a dryness level or option is not available for a
cycle,it will not light.
• Changes made to the cycle will automatically
be remembered the next time that cycle is
selected.

5. Press START to begin the cycle.
To pause the cycle or change settings, press
Pause/Cancel once. "PAL/" will be displayed
alternately with the estimated drying time. To
resume the cycle, press START.
To stop or change the cycle, press Pause/
Cancel twice.
6. A signal will sound at the end of the cycle and
periodically during Press Saver when the Cycle
Signal option is selected. When the cycle ends,
remove items immediately and hang or fold.
7. Clean the lint filter after every load. The Clean
Lint Filter indicator will light at the end of the
cycle as a reminder.
Cycle Selection
Turn the Cycle Selector knob to the desired cycle.
For best results, follow the fabric care label
instructions on items to be dried. To change the
selection after the cycle has begun, press Pause/
Cancel twice, select a new cycle and press
START. Just turning the knob to another selection
will not change the cycle. The signal will beep
and the status lights will flash, but the original cycle
will continue.
Auto Dry
Auto Dry cycles take the guesswork out of drying
time. Loads dried using the Towels, Normal, Perm
Press and Delicate cycles will dry automatically
at the selected temperature to the desired dryness
level. The dryer uses sensing bars to sense the
moisture level of the load as it tumbles through
heated air. Auto Dry cycles save time and energy
and protects fabrics.

The estimated drying time will be displayed for about
5 minutes. Then the outside of the display will
light up in a circular track to indicate the drying
time is automatically being determined by the
sensors. When the load has reached the selected
dryness level, it will continue to tumble, unheated,
during a Cool Down period. This helps reduce
wrinkling and makes items easier to handle during
unloading. The estimated Cool Down time will be
displayed.
Drying time varies depending on size and dampness
of load and fabric type. If the load is too small or
almost dry, the sensing bars may not detect enough
moisture to continue the cycle and the cycle may
end after a few minutes. Select a Timed Drysetting
to dry such loads.
Room temperature and humidity, type of installation
and electrical voltage or gas pressure can also affect
drying time.
Towels
Select this Auto Dry cycle for towel loads.
Normal
Select this Auto Dry cycle for cotton items.
Perm Press
Select this Auto Dry cycle for cottons and blends
with a no-iron finish.
Delicate
Select this Auto Dry cycle for knits and delicate
items.

Quick
Select this cycle to quickly dry a small load made
up of just a few items, it provides approximately
20 minutes of tumbling followed by a10-minute cool
down period.
Drying Temperature
For best results, follow the fabric care label
instructions on items to be dried. To change the
drying temperature, press TEMP to scroll to the
desired heat. To protect your wardrobe, not all
temperatures are available with every cycle.
Options
To select an option, press OPTIONS until the
indicator for the desired option flashes, then press
Select. if an option is not available for a cycle, the
indicator will not light. Follow the same steps to
delete an option.
Bulky
Select this cycle to dry a comforter, blanket,
sleeping bag or similar item.Cool Down is
approximately 10 minutes.
Timed Dry
To manually select the drying time for any load,
turn the knob to a numbered setting. Drying times
from 15 to 90 minutes are available in 15-minute
increments. You will not be able to select a cycle
or dryness level. Timed Dry is recommended when
using the No Heat option.
Note: To change cycles, press Pause/Cancel
twice.
To avoid fire hazard, do not use heat
to dry items containing feathers or down, foam
rubber, plastic, or similarly textured, rubber-like
materials. Use the No Heat setting only.
Cycle Settings
Appropriate drying temperature, dryness level and
options will automatically be indicated for each
cycle. The TEMP, DRYNESS and OPTIONS
settings can be changed before the cycle is started.
Those adjustments will automatically be
remembered each time that cycle is selected. Ifa
temperature, dryness level or option is not
recommended for a cycle, the indicator will not light.
If changes are attempted after the cycle starts, the
status lights will blink, the signal will beep and "Err'
will be displayed. To change a setting after the
cycle starts, press Pause/Cancel once, adjust the
setting and press START to resume the cycle. See
the "Dryer Settings Chart" for more details.
High heat is recommended for sturdy fabrics.
Medium High heat is recommended for most
cotton fabrics.
Medium heat is recommended for wrinkle free,
permanent press and lightweight fabrics.
Low heat is recommended for delicate fabrics.
No Heat should only be used with a Timed Dry
setting to dry items containing feathers, down, foam
rubber, plastics or rubber-like materials; to freshen
clothing, pillows or blankets; or to dust draperies.
Note: Using No Heat in anyAuto Dry cycle will
result in long drying times and/or wet
loads at the end of the cycle.
Dryness Level
Tochange the dryness level, press DRYNESS until
the desired selection is made. Select Normal for
most loads.
Occasionally a load may seem too damp or over-
dried at the end of the cycle. To increase drying
time for similar loads in the future, select More
Dry. For loads requiring less drying time, select
Less Dry.
Select Damp Dry for items you wish to partially
dry before hanging or ironing.
Note: To prevent over-drying, not every dryness i
level is available with every cycle.
The Cycle Signal will sound at the end of the cycle
and periodically during Press Saver.
Select Shrink Guard to lower the initial drying
temperature to protect fabrics from overdrying.
Select Press Saver if the dried load might not be
removed promptly at the end of the cycle. The dry
load will continue to tumbling without heat for 30
minutes to help reduce wrinkling. "dn" will be
displayed during this time. When the Cycle Signal
is selected, a beep will be heard periodically. The
load may be removed any time during Press Saver.
Dryer Features
O (Control Lock)
Toavoid having someone accidentally start or stop
the washer, press OPTIONS and Select at the same
time and hold for about 10 seconds until the O
(Control Lock) lights up. "LOC" will be displayed
alternately with the estimated cycle time. Turning
the Cycle Selector knob or pressing any button
will produce flashing indicator lights and/or beeping.
To unlock the controls, press and hold OPTIONS
and Select for about 10 seconds.

Pasos Operativos
Lea "Procedimientos de Secado" en su Guia del Usuario,
donde estos pasos se explican en detalle.
1. Prepare las prendas para secar.
2. Verifique que el filtro de pelusas est6 limpio
enstalado.
3. Cargue la secadora. Si Io desea, puede agregaruna
I_mina de suavizante. Cierre la puerta.
4. Seleccione el ciclo y los valores apropiados para
cada carga.
,, Gire la perilla Selector de Ciclo para seleccionar
el ciclo. Se visualizar_ el tiempo de secado
estimado.
,, Para cada ciclo, se indicar_n autom_ticamente la
temperatura de secado correcta, el nivel y las
opciones de secado. Para cambiar la temperatura
y el nivel de secado, presione TEMP y SECADO
hasta visualizar las selecciones deseadas.
,, Para seleccionar una opci6n, presione OPCIONES
hasta que el indicador de la opci6n deseada se
ilumine y presione Seleccionar. Siga los mismos
pasos para eliminar una opci6n.
,, Si un nivel de secado o una opci6n no est_n
disponibles para un ciclo, no se iluminar_n.

5. Presione INICIO para comenzar el ciclo.
,, Para realizar una pausa en el ciclo o para
cambiar los valores, presione Pausa/Cancelar
una vez. Se visualizar_ "PAU" alternadamente
con el tiempo estimado de secado. Para reiniciar
el ciclo, presione INICIO.
,, Para detener o cambiar el ciclo, presione
Pausa/Cancelar dos veces.
6. Una serial sonar_ al final del ciclo y
peri6dicamente durante Salvador de Plancho
cuando se selecciona la opci6n Serial de Ciclo.
Cuando finaliza el ciclo, retire las prendas
inmediatamente, y cu61guelas o d6blelas.
7. Limpie el filtro de pelusas despu6s de cada
carga. Como recordatorio, se encender_ el
indicador Limpiar Filtro de Pelusas al final del
ciclo.
Selecci6n de Ciclos
Para obtener los mejores resultados, siga las
instrucciones de cuidado que figuran en la etiqueta
de las prendas asecar. Para cambiar la selecci6n
@u6s de que ha comenzado el ciclo, presione
Pausa/Cancelar dos veces, seleccione un nuevo
ciclo y presione INICIO. Con s61o girar la perilla
hacia otra selecci6n no se cambia el ciclo. La serial
sonar& y las luces de estado se iluminar_n, pero
continuar_ el ciclo original.

Secado autom&tico
En los ciclos de secado autom&ticos ya se han definido
los tiempos de secado. Cargas de ropa que usen los
ciclos de Toallas, Trabajo pesado, Normal, Planchado
Permanente y Delicadas se secar_n autom_ticamente
con la temperatura elegida para el nivel de secado
deseado. La secadora usa barras de sensibilidad para
medir el nivel de humedad de la carga de ropa cuando
se expone al aire caliente.
Los ciclos autom_ticos de secado adem_s de ahorrar
tiempo y energia, protegen las prendas. El tiempo
estimado de secado ser& mostrado aproximadamente
por 5 minutos. Entonces el aro exterior del indicador
digital encendera circularmente, para indicar que el
tiempo de secado se esta calculando automaticamente
pot los sensores. Cuando la carga de ropa ha alcanzado
el nivel de secado seleccionado, continuar_ el proceso
de enfriamiento. Esto ayudar_ a no arrugarse o
contraerse las prendas y facilitar su manejo cuando se
retiren de la secadora. El tiempo estimado del proceso
de enfriamiento ser_ mostrado.
El tiempo de secado vada de acuerdo al tamafio,
humedad y tipo de telas de la carga de ropa. Si la carga
es muy pequefia o seca, las barras de sensibilidad
poddan no detectar suficiente humedad para continuar
el ciclo; el cuat podda finalizar en pocos minutos.
Seleccione el tiempo de secado para secar tales cargas.
Tanto la temperatura y humedad del cuarto donde tiene
su secadora, el tipo de instalaci6n, voltaje el6ctrico y la
presi6n del gas pueden afectar el tiempo de secado.

Selecci6n de Ciclos (Cont.)
Toallas (Towels)
Seleccione este ciclo de Secado Autom_tico para
toaflas.
Prendas Voluminosas (Bulky)
Este ciclo esta disefiado para prendas voluminosas,
tales como acolchados, mantas, cubre colchones,
bolsas de dormir y arficulos simflares.
Normal
Seleccione este ciclo de Secado Autom_tico para
prendas de algod6n.
Planchado Permanente (Perm Press)
Seleccione este ciclo de Secado Autom_tico para
secar prendas de algod6n y mezcla, y sacar las listas
para no planchar.
Rapido (Quick)
Seleccione este ciclo de para secar rapidamente una
carga pequefia de pocas prendas. Este ciclo funciona
durante aproximadamente 20 minutos seguidos de un
periodo de Enfriamiento de 10 minutos.
Delicado (Delicate)
Seleccione este ciclo de Secado Automatico para
prendas tejidas y delicadas.
Tiempo de Secado (Timed Dry)
Para seleccionar manualmente el tiempo de secado
para una carga, gire la perilla hasta algL_nnL_mero.Se
dispone de tiempos de secado de 15 a 90 minutos, en
incrementos de 20 minutos. No podra seleccionar un
ciclo o nivel de secado. Se recomienda usar Tiempo
de Secado con la opci6n Sin Calor.
Valores de Ciclo
La temperatura de secado, el nivel de secado y las
opciones apropiadas se visualizar_n autom_ticamente
para cada ciclo. Los valores de TEMP, SECADO y
OPCIONES se pueden cambiar antes de que se inicie
el ciclo. Esos ajustes ser_n memorizados
autom_ticamente cada vez que se seleccione ese
ciclo. Si un valor de temperatura, de nivel de secado u
de opci6n no se recomienda para un ciclo, el indicador
no se iluminar&
Si se intentan realizar cambios despu6s de iniciado
el ciclo, la serial se iluminar_ en forma intermitente y
se visualizar_ "Err'. Para cambiar un valor despu6s
de iniciado un ciclo, presione Pausa/Cancelar una
vez, ajuste el valor y presione INICIO para reiniciar el
ciclo. Consulte "Tabla de Valores de la Secadora"
para conocer m_s detalles.
Para evitar el peligro de incendio, no
use calor para secar prendas que contienen plumas,
edredones, goma espuma, plastico o materiales con
textura similar a la goma. Use s61o la funci6n Sin Calor
(No Heat).
Seleccibn de la Temperatura
Para obtener los mejores resultados, siga las
indicaciones de cuidado de la etiqueta de las prendas
a secar.
Alta (High) se recomienda para prendas resistentes.
Mediana (Medium) se recomienda para planchado
permanente, sin arrugas y prendas livianas.
Baja (Low) se recomienda para prendas delicadas.
Sin Calor (No Heat) s61ose debe usar con Tiempo
de Secado para secar prendas que contienen
plumas,edredones, goma espuma, plastico o
materiales tipo goma; para renovar prendas de vestir,
almohadas o mantas, o para eliminar polvo de
cortinas.
Nota: El uso de la funci6n Sin Calor en cualquier Ciclo
de Secado Automatico dara como resultado cargas
mojadas al terminar el ciclo.
Nivel de Secado
Para cambiar el nivel de secado, pulse Sequedad
(Dryness) hasta que se realice la selecci6n deseada.
Seleccione Normal para la mayoda de las cargas.
Ocasionalmente, una carga puede parecer muy seca
o mojada despu6s de terminar el ciclo. Para aumentar
el tiempo de secado para cargas similares en el fu-
turo, seleccione M_s Seco (More Dry). Para las cargas
que requieren menos tiempo de secado, seleccione
Menos Seco (Less Dry).
Seleccione Secado H_medo (Damp Dry) para las
prendas que desea que est6n parcialmente secas an-
tes de colgar o planchar.
Nota: Para evitar el secado excesivo, no todos los
niveles de secado est_n disponibles en cada ciclo.
Opciones (Options)
Para seleccionar una opci6n, pulse OPCIONES hasta
que el indicador de la opci6n deseada destefle y luego
pulse SELECCIONAR. Si una opci6n no est_ disponible
para un ciclo, el indicador no se encender_. Siga los
mismos pasos para anular una opci6n.
La SeSal del Ciclo (Cycle Signal) sonar_ al terminar
el ciclo y peri6dicamente durante el Salvador de
Plancho.
Seleccione el Protector del Encoger (Shrink Guard)
para proporcionar un calor m_s apacible a la ayuda
previene la contracci6n. Como las ropas seqQese, eflos
se exponen a una reducci6n gradual en calor.
Seleccione Salvador de Plancho (Press Saver) si
no va a sacar la carga seca inmediatamente despu6s
de terminar el ciclo. La secadora seguir_ funcionando
con carga seca sin calor durante 30 minutos para
reducir las arrugas. Cuando se selecciona Serial de
Ciclo, se escuchar& una alarma peri6dicamente. La
carga se puede sacar en cualquier momento durante
el Salvador de Plancho.
Caracteristicas de la Secadora
Bloqueo de Control(Control Lock)
Para evitar que alguien arranque o detenga
accidentalmente la lavadora, pulse OPCIONES y
SELECCIONAR al mismo tiempo y sujetar
aproximadamente 10 segundos hasta que se encienda
el indicador _ Bloqueo de Control (Control Lock). El
LOC ser_ exhibido alternativamente con la duraci6n
de ciclo estimada. Dar vuelta a la perilla del selector
del ciclo o presionar cualquier bot6n producir_ luces
y/o sefialar de indicador que destella. Para desactivar
esta funci6n, pulse y sujetar OPCIONES y
SELECCIONAR nuevamente aproximadamente 10
segundos.
