HOW TO USE THE KETTLE
1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Depress the lid handle and lift the lid upwards, fill the kettle via
the spout.
3. Do not fill with less than 0.75 liters of water, this to prevent the
kettle from boiling dry.
4. After filling, ensure the lid is closed. Do not fill with more than
1.7 liters of water, to avoid water from spilling out during the
boiling process.
5. Plug the power supply cord from the base unit into the mains
power supply.
6. To switch on the appliance, push the ON/OFF switch. The
indicator lights up when the unit is switched on.
7. When the water has boiled, the kettle will automatically switch
off.
8. You can stop the boiling process at any time by pushing the
ON/OFF switch.
CLEANING
CLEANING
• Before the first use, rinse the kettle, fill it with fresh water up to
the maximum level and let it operate.
•To remove troublesome stains, use a mild soap or detergent.
Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents.
• The filter must be cleaned regularly to allow a good flow of
water.
DESCALING
DESCALING
• For normal use, descale the kettle at least twice a year.
•Fill the kettle up to MAX with a plastic kettle de-scaling solution
(available in most supermarkets and household suppliers) or
mixture : one part white vinegar and two parts water. Switch on
and wait for the kettle to switch off automatically and allow it to
stand for 30 seconds.
• Re-boil the mixture and allow it to stand for a further one hour.
• Pour the mixture away and fill the kettle with clean water up to
MAX and boil again.
• Pour away this boiled water to remove any remaining scale and
vinegar.

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning or replacement of any pieces.
• Do not clean the appliance with abrasive chemicals.
• Never use accessories that are not recommended or supplied
by the manufacturer. Do not operate the appliance with an other
base than the one supplied.
• Never fill the kettle when it is on the base.
•All interventions made by a non-qualified person can be dangerous; in this case guarantee conditions would cancel. As all
electrical products, a competent electrician must repair it.
•To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage
appliance on the same circuit.

• Vérifier que le voltage indiqué sur la plaque signalétique de
l’appareil correspond bien à celui de votre installation

ne branchez pas l’appareil.
• Ne jamais laisser l’appareil sans surveillance lorsqu’il est en

•Si vous devez vous absenter même un court instant, arrêtez l’appareil.
• Ne jamais laisser à la portée d’enfants et ne pas les laisser utiliser
l’appareil.
•Ne pas toucher les surfaces chaudes de la bouilloire.
•Veiller à ne pas trop remplir la bouilloire.
•Tenir la bouilloire par la poignée et prendre toutes les précautions
nécessaires lorsqu’elle est pleine d’eau bouillante.
•Veiller à bien fermer le couvercle afin d’éviter les brûlures dues
à la vapeur.
• Cet appareil est destiné à un usage domestique et selon les
instructions du manuel.
• Ne jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide.
• Ne jamais utiliser l’appareil à l’extérieur. Cet appareil doit être
utilisé dans un endroit sec.
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil avec les mains mouillées ou humides.
• Ne jamais utiliser l’appareil sur ou près de surfaces chaudes.
• Ne jamais déplacer ou débrancher l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon
d’alimentation.
• Ne pas laisser le cordon d’alimentation pendre du plan de travail
ou de la table.
• Poser l’appareil sur une surface plane et stable.
• Utiliser l’appareil uniquement avec le socle livré. Ne vous servez
pas du socle à d’autres fins.
•Avant de ranger l’appareil, assurez-vous qu’il est bien débranché
