ISOPODci
Optimized for connecting personal mobile
devices to professional audio systems. Use to
connect mini headphone audio outputs to
professional equipment with balanced inputs
such as a mixing console. Use to connect
professional balanced audio sources to the
headset mic input.
Signal is connected via a 3.5mm four conductor
T R R S j a ck . B a l an c e d c o n n e c t i o n s t o
professional audio equipment are via XLR jacks.
Headset signals are balanced and passed
through with minimal loss from input to the
return XLRs. Send input signals are attenuated
approximately 40 dB for the mic connection of
the headset jack.
Features a "STEREO / MONO" switch to combine
stereo returns into a mono signal and a 10 dB
"PAD" switch for reducing the return level, if
required. A “GROUND LIFT” switch disconnects
input ground from the outputs to help eliminate
hum and buzz. A 3.5mm TRS "SEND MONITOR"
jack allows use of mini headphones to monitor
the audio being sent into the mic input.

SEND MONITOR
(3.5mm stereo TRS jack)
Use to listen to the signal at the send
input with earbud headsets. This feature
allows confidence monitoring of the
signal being applied to the mobile
device's mic input. Wired for proper
connection to the headset TRRS plug or
standard TRS plug.
TRRS I/O (3.5mm TRRS jack)
Use to connect mobile audio devices to
professional equipment. The 3.5mm
jack is a tip/ring/ring/sleeve type. The
tip is connected to the left headphone
channel, the first ring is wired to the
right headphone channel, the second
ring is gro un d for b ot h mi c and
headphones and the sleeve is the
microphone input connection.
GND/LIFT (Switch)
This switch is usually left in the “GND”
position (grounds are connected from
input to output). If hum occurs in either
channel when using the ISOPODCI,
setting the switch to the “LIFT” position
may help reduce it. (This disconnects
the ground between the input and the
XLR outputs.)
STEREO / MONO (Switch)
When placed in the “STEREO” position,
signals are routed to their respective
output. In the “MONO” position, the left
and right inputs are summed into a mono
signal that is fed to both XLR outputs.
PAD (Switch)
Most signals will operate properly when
set to the “OFF” position. The “PAD”
position applies 10 dB of attenuation to
both the left and right return outputs, to
reduce the possibility of distortion when
used with some mic level inputs.
LOW-Z BALANCED RETURNS
(XLR jack X 2)
Left and Right male XLRs, which provide
balanced low impedance signals suitable
for connection to bala nced, low-Z
equipment inputs (mixing console,
workstation, etc.) The output signal is a
transformer balanced version of the
headset return at almost the same level.
Insertion loss is very low with the “PAD”
off.
LOW-Z BALANCED SEND INPUT
(XLR jack)
Female XLR provides balanced low

conn e c t i o n t o ba l a n c e d , l o w - Z

attenuated approximately 40 dB before

distortion.
