DISHWASHER
Let’s learn about your Smart Dishwasher. Your dishwasher is special: it’s connected. Not popular exactly,
but downright friendly with the internet, your smartphone, computer, and tablet. Plus, it’s not just energy ecient;
it thinks about its eciency, gets even smarter about saving you money and resources over time, and helps you do
a little more each day by saving you valuable minutes and even more valuable eort. Now isn’t that smart?
HERE’S HOW:
IT HAS SMART FEATURES
Smart Features help make your everyday a little more ecient
by allowing you to remotely monitor, manage, and maintain
your dishwasher.
ISSUE ALERT
What it does: Sends you a text, e-mail or in-app alert if something’s
gone wrong.
What it does for you: Gives you a heads-up and helps you
request service quickly by giving you all the information you need to
connect with our service center.
CYCLE PROGRESS
What it does: Gives you a look at your dishwasher’s cycle progress
from another room (or state).
What it does for you: Helps you know when it’s still washing,
so you can add a dish that got missed, and when it’s drying, so you
can remove a dish that’s needed early.
DISHES CLEAN NUDGE
What it does: Ask nicely and your dishwasher will send you a text,
e-mail, or in-app alert when it completes its wash cycles.
What it does for you: Relieves you of having to visit the kitchen
every 10 minutes to see if your plates are clean.
CONTROL LOCK
What it does: Gives you a chance to lock the controls on your
dishwasher any time, whether or not you can see it from where you’re
sitting.
What it does for you: Keeps little fingers from surprise rewashing
your already sparkling pots and pans, and keeps larger, leaning thighs
from surprising themselves (and you) with unintended wash cycles.
aresh® CYCLE ASSISTANT
What it does: Sends you a text, e-mail, or in-app alert when it’s time
to rejuvenate your dishwasher by running an aresh® cleaning cycle.
It’s also a great reminder that it’s time to refresh your aresh® supplies.
You can order more right in our smart app or online.
What it does for you: Removes unsightly hard water and filming
from the dishware and internal operating parts that may aect
dishwasher performance.
IT WORKS WITH THE SMART GRID
Push one button, and your Smart Dishwasher does a whole lot:
saves you money, saves energy, and helps you put less stress on
the grid by keeping an eye on energy rates and demand as issued
by your utility company. When either is high, your appliance will
Smart Delay and wait for prices or demand to fall before running.
Don’t worry; you can override any Smart Grid settings—change
them or turn them o if you need an immediate wash—by pressing
the Smart Grid button on the dishwasher, or by setting preferences
online in your user account. (By the way, if you do disable them, all
Smart Features will turn back on automatically after one cycle, so
your dishwasher can start monitoring rates again.)
SMART DELAY
What it does: Keeps your dishwasher from running when energy
rates or demand are highest.
What it does for you: Saves you money and helps you use less
energy—which is good for everyone.
ENERGY ADVISER
What it does: Displays your dishwasher’s current power level
and tracks energy consumption per cycle.
What it does: Gives you a quick look at how your dishwasher
is performing and a chance to monitor, manage, and if you’re so
inclined, control your energy consumption.
GET STARTED
Your Smart Dishwasher has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, but for it to
work, you’ll have to help it join your home wireless network:
Take a look at the Smart Start Guide that came with your
dishwasher, and follow the instructions to connect to your
wireless network.
Create an account and register your appliance online. We’ll
remind you in the Smart Start Guide, but if you’re reading ahead,
sign-up is at mysmartappliances.com.
Configure the feature and smart grid notifications you want, and
how you want to receive them. Text, e-mail or in-app; you choose.
Go grab an arm full of dirty plates—you’re ready to wash!
The licenses and copyrights covering the software included with this product are viewable through the webpage available on the appliance’s internal radio. To access the web page, disconnect your appliance from your
router by pressing the Smart Grid button and holding for 15 seconds. Use your computer to search for available wireless networks and choose the one that matches the MAC address that is listed on the SAID label on
your appliance.
