ADDING DETERGENT AND ADDITIVES
Add the detergent and the additives into the dispenser as follows:
• Programme with pre- and main wash
• Main wash programme without prewash
• Fabric softeners and conditioners
• Chlorine bleach
• Stain remover agents
• Anti-scale agents (water hardness 4)
Important:
• Be careful not to fill more than the
“MAX”
level mark.
• For programmes without prewash from cold to 40° C it is recommended to use a liquid detergent
to avoid whitish residues on the coloured laundry.
• With a Start delay, use a dose aid for liquid detergent, placed direct ly in th e drum.
CLOSE THE DOOR AND SELECT THE PROGRAMME
1. Turn the
programme selector knob
The remaining time display shows the duration of the choosen programme (in hours and
minutes) and the pilot lamp of the “Start” button is flashing.
2. The programme sequence and the predefined spin speed indication corr espon din g to the
selected programme lights up.
PRESS ANY DESIRED OPTION BUTTON(S).
An audible tone sounds if the combination of programme and additional options is not
possible. Unsuitable combinations of options are deselected automatically
Prewash button
• Only for heavily soiled loads (for example sand, granular dirt) sensible. The cycle time increases
from 5 to 20 min.
Intensive Rinse button
• For improved rinsing efficiency the rinse water level and the cycle time are increased.
• This option is particulary suitable for areas with very soft water washing ba by linen and h elps
people with allergies.
Rinse Hold button
• The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressin g to the final spin cycle t o avoid
creasing and prevent colours from changing.
• This option is particularly recommended for the programme “Syn thet ic ” or “Delicate”.
• This function is particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time or when you do
not wish to spin the clothes.

Note
Terminate the Rinse Hold option:
• Press the “Rinse Hold” button again; the programme will terminate automat ically with the final
spin cycle for the present wash programme.
• If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector kn ob to the drain progra mme
and start again.
Spin speed reduction button
• Every programme has an automatic predefined maximum spin speed.
• Press the button to set another spin speed.
• If no lamps are on, the final spinning is cancelled.
Start Delay button
The Start Delay allows to run the machine at the consumer’s convenience, for example at night when
electricity is cheaper.
• Press the “Start Delay” button to select the delay tim e by 1 to 1 9 hou rs;
• Press the “Start” button. The “Start Delay” light flashes until the prog ramme sta rts.
• The time delay indication disappears when the programme starts and it’s replaced by the
remaining time.
• The number of hours preselected can later be reduced pressing again the “Start Delay” button.
To cancel the “Start Delay”.
• Turn the programme selector to the “” position.
• Reselect the desired programme and options and press the “Start” button.
PROGRAMME START
Open the tap and press the “Start” button. The pilot lamp of the “Start” button lights up. The indicator
lamps show the sequence reached in the programme. After starting t he pr ogramm e, t he seque nce
indication runs from left to right through Wash, Rinse, Spin. Whe n the sequence of the programme is
finished the corresponding lamps goes out.
DOOR LOCK
During the running programme the door can be opened for adding further laundry.
The door locks automatically in all rinsing and spinning cycles. If the prog ramme is stoppe d or the
electrical power supply is terminated, the door lock will open after approximately 1 minute .
PROGRAMME END
• The remaining time is on “0:00” and all the lights of the p rogramme sequence indication are “Off”.
A short audible tone sounds three times.
1. Turn the programme selector to the position
2. Turn the water supply tap off.
3. Open the door and the drum flaps and unload the machine.
SELECTING A NEW PROGRAMME, SPIN SPEED, OPTIONS AFTER
PROGRAMME START
1. Press the “Start” button to pause the programme. The light flashes.
2. Select the new programme (with temperature), any options a nd anoth er spin speed if you want it.
3. Press the “Start” button again. The programme con tinues at the same po sition of the programme
sequence indication. Do not add detergent for this programme.
TO STOP, RESET A PROGRAMME BEFORE THE END
1. Press the “Start” button to pause the programme. The lights flashes.
2. Set the programme selector to “Drain”. The spin indications are off and the re maining time shows
2 minutes.
3. Press the “Start” button to start the drain programm e.
AUTOMATIC SAFETY FUNCTIONS / FAULTS
This washing machine is equipped with automatic safety functions which detect and diagnose faults
at an early stage and react appropriately. Often, however, the faults detected are small enough to be
