Automatic Safety Function

This machine is equipped with automatic safety functions which detect and diagnose faults and reacts appropriately (see “Troubleshooting Guide”).

Notes

With heavily soiled laundry the additional “Prewash” option can be selected as well.

If “Rapid” is chosen, the additional options “Eco” and “Prewash” are deselected.

Prewash cycle increases programme duration by approximately 15 min. Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions in compliance with Standard IEC 60 456. The data on the “Energy Label” refer to programme “Coloured Cotton 60 °C”. Consumptio n data in the home ma y vary with respect to the values i n the table in relatio n to the water supply pressure and temperature, the load an d the typ e of was h. * The remaining time indicator can similarly deviate from the values in the table, because it takes into account

the household conditions applicable at that time.

ADD DETERGENT, CLOSE THE DOOR AND SELECT THE PROGRAMME

Add the detergent as described in the chapter “Detergent and Additives” in the booklet.

1. Turn the

programme selector knob

to the desired programme and temperature.

• The remaining time display shows the duration of the chosen programme (in hours and minutes) and the pilot lamp of the

“Start/Pause”

button is flashing.

2. The programme sequence and the predefined spin speed indication corresponding to the selected programme lights up.

PRESS ANY DESIRED OPTION BUTTON(S). The pilot lamp lights up.

An audible tone sounds if the combination of programme, additional options and temperature is not possible. Unsuitable combinations of options are deselected automatically. “Eco Wash” button

• The duration of the wash is extended and the temperature reduced to save up to 40% of energy maintaining good washing re sults.

“Rapid Wash” button

• For quick, economical washes. Ideal for minimum loads of lightly-soiled articles.

“Prewash” button

• Only for heavily soiled loads (for example sand, granular dirt) sensible. The cycle time increases by approximately 15 min.

“Intensive Rinse” button

• A further rinse cycle is added.

• This option is particularly suitable for areas with very soft water washing baby linen and helps people with allergies.

“Rinse Hold” button

• The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle to avoid creasing and prevent colours from changing.

• This option is particularly recommended for the programme “Synthetics” or “Delicates”.

• This function is particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time.

Note:

The programme stops to “Rinse Hold” at the time the “Rinse Hold” button light flashes.

Terminate the “Rinse Hold” option:

• Press the “Rinse Hold” button again; the programme will terminate automatically with the final spin cycle for the present wash programme.

• If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector knob to the drain programme and press the

“Start/Pause”

button again.

“Spin Speed Reduction” button

• Every programme has an automatic predefined maximum spin speed.

• Press the button to set another spin speed.

• If the spin speed

“0”

is selected, the final spinning is cancelled. The water is drained out only.

START DELAY

The “Start Delay” allows to run the machine at the consumer’s convenience, for example at night when electricity is cheaper.

• Press the “Start Delay” button to select the delay time by 1 to 19 hours;

• Press the

“Start/Pause”

button. The “Start Delay” light flashes until the programme starts.

• The time delay indication disappears when the programme starts and it’s replaced by the remaining time.

• The number of hours preselected can later be reduced pressing again the “Start Delay” button.

During the first 15 minutes of the cotton and synthetics programmes the door can be opened for adding further laundry. This is not possible if “Rapid Wash” is selected. The door can be opened when the “Door Free” indication is shining.
