If your washer has a Consumer Buy Guide label, remove it. It will be easier to remove before the washer is used. To remove any remaining glue:

Rub briskly wrth thumb to make a ball,
then remove. or

Soak area with liquid hand dish­washing detergent before removing glue as described above.

Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or
injury to persons when using your washer, fol­low basic precautions, including the following:
l
Read these Laundry Instruc­tions for important use and safety information before

When discarding an old washer, ALWAYS remove the lid to prevent accidental entrapment.

NEVER put your hands into the washer until all motion stops. If the lid is opened while the basket is spinning, the basket will automati­tally stop in a few seconds.
l
DO NOT tamper with controls.
l
NEVER use or store flammable

Operating Instructions

Starting your washer

Be sure to measure and add detergent, then place a sorted load in the washer before starting it. This automatic washer has solid state electronic controls. Read instructions carefully before setting any cycles,

and the Fabric Selection’lights w’ill scan. The control is now ready for your selection.
l
The lights will scan until a selectron has been made.
NOTE: If a selection has not been made within 15 minutes, the washer will automatically shut off.
2. Select a water level
l
The washer will automatically fill to the HI water level. If more or less water is needed, touch the Select pad until the light shows the desired water level. A blinking light shows the actual water level as it fills.
l
Select the setting that fits the size of
the load you are washing.
See the Laundry Guide for load size
suggestions.
3. Touch a pre-wash option
l
If pre-washing is not needed, skip to
step 4.
l
The washer will shut off after complet­ing the SOAK or PRE-WASH Cycles. See pages 9 and 10.
l
The SUPER WASH Cycle must be combined with a Fabric Selection. See page 10.
4. Touch a fabric selection
l
Touch a Fabric Selection according to the type of load being washed. See
pageslland12.
l
The washer will begin filling shortly after a Fabric Selection has been
made.

For more selection time:
l
Touch HOLD/RESTART pad at any step you want more time to decide on
another selection.
l
HOLD/RESTART will stop the washer
for up to 15 minutes.
l
To restart the washer, touch the blink­ing HOLD/RESTART pad.
To change a selection:
l
All options, except Fabric Selections, can be changed any time before they have started.
l
Fabric Selections may only be
changed up to the start of the first fill.
l
If the washer has completed the first
fill, touch Power OFF, then start over
with step 1.
l
The indicator light will stay on and one beep will sound when a selection has been accepted.
To change wash or rinse
temperatures The washer is programmed to provide a
warm wash and cold rinse in every selection. If another wash or rinse tem-
perature is wanted, touch the pad that corresponds to that temperature.
NOTE: To save energy and receive the most wrinkle-free results, use a cold rinse for all fabrics.
l
To protect some fabrics, the washer will not accept the following selections:
HOT WASH Option cannot be accepted with:
- KNITS GENTLE Fabric Selection.
-
any Pre-Wash Options.
WARM RINSE Option cannot be accepted with PERM’T PRESS Fabric Selection.
l
If the selection has been accepted, the indicator light will stay on and 1 beep will sound.
l
If the selection has not been accepted, the indicator light will not stay on and 3 beeps will sound.
l
A Fabric Selection must be selected
before HOT or COLD WASH Options can be selected.

To change the amount of wash time
When a Fabric SelectIon IS touched, the amount of wash agitation time WIII show In the Time Display. The wash agitation time which shows

the recommended time for that cycle (for moderately solled Items) If more or less time

desired. touch the appropriate Timed Wash Pad before the end of the first fill.
See pages 11 and 12 for recom-
mended wash times.
Time display
The Time Display shows the total amount of wash agltatlon time selected. When the first fill begins, the display changes to “AU,” indicating automatic operation.
. Any time durtng wash agltatton the
MORE TIME or LESS TIME Pad can be touched. The display WIII show the number of minutes left in wash agitation.
9 Dunng the final rinse the display
changes to show the number of min­utes left until the cycle IS finished and the load can be removed.

Proper and improper selections

The washer choose selections for the best washing results.
1. For fabric protection. the washer not accept certain selections. The indicator lights WIII not stay on and 3 beeps will sound when a selection is not accepted.
2. When a selection
indicator light for that selection comes on and stays on and one beep will sound. The washer will use the Fabric Selection (and options) you selected
