When using the dishwasher, follow basic precautions including the following:
Read all instructions before using th e dishwasher.
Use the dishwasher only for its intended function.
Use only detergents or rinse agents recommended for use in a dishwasher and keep them out of the reach of children.
When loading items to be washed:
1.
Locate sharp items so that they ar e not likely to damage the door seal;
2.
Load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries.
Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked “Dishwasher safe” or the equivalent. For plastic items not so marked, check the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Do not operate the dishwashe r un le s s all enclosure panels are properly in place.
Do not tamper with controls.
Do not abuse, sit on, or stand on the do or or dish racks of the dishwasher.
To reduce the risk of injury, do not al low children to play in or on the dishwasher.
Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using the dishwasher, turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas i s flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.
Remove the door to the washing compartment when removing an old dishwasher from service or discarding it.
The lower rack is tethered and cannot be removed.

Have you dishwasher installed by a q ualif ied installer.
Install where dishwasher is protected from the elements.
Install and level dishwasher on a floor that will hold the weight, and in an area suitable for its size and use.
Properly connect dishwasher to electricity, water and drain. (see Installation Instr uctions for complete information):
Remove all shipping plugs from hoses and connectors before installing.
Remove all hang tags and temporary labels.
Make sure dishwasher is not used by anyon e unable to operate it properly.

STARTING YOUR DISHWASHER
Tip Over Hazard Do not use dishwasher until completely installed. Do not push down on open door. Doing so can result in serious injury or cuts.
Electrical Shock Hazard Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.

STARTING YOUR DISHWASHER
For a grounded, cord connected dishwasher:
The dishwasher must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least r esis tance for electric current. The dishwasher is equipped with a cord having an equipment­grounding conductor and a grounding plug . The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the dishwasher is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the dishwasher; if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified technician.
For a permanently connected di shwasher:
The dishwasher must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system, or an equipment-grounding conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and connected to the equipment-grounding terminal or lead on the dishwasher.

BEFORE USING THE DISHWASHER
After unpacking, make sure the appliance is
undamaged and that the door closes correctly. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged. If in doubt, consult your local retailer.

2. Appliance
The appliance is built from reusable materials. If you decide to scrap the dishwasher, it must be disposed of in compliance with l ocal waste disposal laws. Before scrapping, cut off the power cord so that the applianc e cannot be reconnected.

HOW TO FILL THE RINSE AID DISPENSER
The rinse aid facilitates drying and prevents the formation of unsightly spots and streaks on dishes. Before using the dishwasher for the first time, fill the rinse aid dispenser. Thereafter, regularly check the rinse aid level .
Only use rinse aids recommended for use in domestic dishwashers.

rinse aid cover. Fill the dispenser with rinse aid up to the dashed line marked 100 ml maximun).
2. Immediately wipe away any spilled rinse aid to prevent excess suds which may spoil washing results.

How to adjust the rinse aid dosage regulator.

Factory setting: 4. If you are not satisfied with washing or drying
results, change the dial setting with a spoon handle or coin. If dishes are prone to whitish streaks, r educe the dosage by turning the dial to a lower setting. If instead dishes are wet, increase the dosage by turning the dial to a higher setting.

HOW TO FILL THE DETERGENT DISPENSER
Only use detergents recommended for use in domestic dishwashers.
If you use new generation enzyme-based detergents, select the Bio cycles which are also suitable for all normal de tergents.
If you use detergents in pellet form, follow the manufacturers directions for use.
Always use the recommended dosage stated on the detergent pack. The use of detergent in excess of the recommended dosage may cause pollution. The recommended dosage varies between different brands.
The figures inside the large compartment serve as a dosage guide.

Only fill the detergent dispenser prior to starting a wash cycle.
Normal load:
For cycles with pre-wash. (Example: Normal 50°C,
refer to the Wash cycle chart”).
First fill the large compartment. Then fill the small compartment.
