NOTE: It is recommended that you do not install the refrigerator near an oven, radiator, or other heat source. Do not install in a location where the temperature will fall below 55°F (13°C).
Excessive Weight Hazard
Use two or more people to move and install refrigerator.
Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
If the ice storage bin is located on the door, remove the temporary shield from underneath the ice storage bin. See
"Ice Maker and Storage Bin." Remove packaging materials. Do not use sharp instruments,
rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners to remove tape or glue. These products can damage the surface
of your refrigerator. For more information, see "Refrigerator Safety."
When Moving Your Refrigerator: Your refrigerator is heavy. When moving the refrigerator
for cleaning or service, be sure to protect the floor.
Always pull the refrigerator straight out when moving it. Do not wiggle or "walk" the refrigerator when trying to move it, as floor damage could occur.

Do not clean glass shetves or covers with warm water when
they are cold. Shelves and covers may break if exposed to
sudden temperature changes or impact, such as bumping. For your protection, tempered glass is designed to shatter into many small, pebble-size pieces. This is normal. Glass shelves and covers are heavy. Use specia! care when removing them to avoid impact from dropping.

Explosion Hazard

To ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, allow for 1/2" (1.25 cm) space on each side and at the top. When installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave 2" (5.08 cm) minimum on each side (depending on your model) to allow for the door to
swing open. If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections.
Before you move your refrigerator into its final location, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection.
Recommended Grounding Method
A 115 Volt, 60 Hz., AC only 15- or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only your refrigerator be provided. Use an outlet
that cannot be turned off by a switch. Do not use an extension cord.
NOTE: Before performing any type of installation, cleaning, or removing a light bulb, turn the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to OFF and then
disconnect the refrigerator from the electrical source. When you are finished, reconnect the refrigerator to the electrical source and reset the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to the desired setting.

Gather the required tools and parts before starting installation. Read and follow the instructions provided with any tools listed
here.

NOTE: Your refrigerator dealer has a kit available with a 1/4" (6.35 mm) saddle-type shutoff valve, a union, and copper tubing. Before purchasing, make sure a saddle-type valve complies with your local plumbing codes. Do not use a piercing-type or 3/16"
(4.76 mm) saddle valve which reduces water flow and clogs more easily.
IMPORTANT:
All installations must meet local plumbing code requirements.
Use copper tubing and check for leaks. Install copper tubing only in areas where the household temperatures will remain above freezing.
Water Pressure
A cold water supply with water pressure of between 30 and 120 psi (207 and 827 kPa) is required to operate the water
dispenser and ice maker. Ifyou have questions about your water pressure, call a licensed, qualified plumber.
Reverse Osmosis Water Supply IMPORTANT: The pressure of the water supply coming out of a
reverse osmosis system going to the water inlet valve of the refrigerator needs to be between 30 and 120 psi (207 and 827 kPa).
If a reverse osmosis water filtration system is connected to your cold water supply, the water pressure to the reverse osmosis system needs to be a minimum of 40 to 60 psi (276 to 414 kPa).
If the water pressure to the reverse osmosis system is less than 40 to 60 psi (276 to 414 kPa):
Check to see whether the sediment filter in the reverse osmosis system is blocked. Replace the filter if necessary.
Allow the storage tank on the reverse osmosis system to refill after heavy usage.
If your refrigerator has a water filter, it may further reduce the water pressure when used in conjunction with a reverse osmosis system. Remove the water filter. See "Water Filtration
System."
If you have questions about your water pressure, call a licensed, qualified plumber.
Read all directions before you begin. IMPORTANT: Ifyou turn the refrigerator on before the water line is
connected, turn the ice maker OFR
3. Locate a 1_,,(12.70 mm) to 11A'' (3.18 cm) vertical cold water pipe near the refrigerator.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure it is a cold water pipe.
Horizontal pipe will work, but drill on the top side of the
pipe, not the bottom. This will help keep water away from the drill and normal sediment from collecting in the valve.

Determine the length of copper tubing you need. Measure from the connection on the lower rear corner of the refrigerator to the water pipe. Add 7 ft (2.1 m) to allow for cleaning. Use
1/4"(6.35 mm) O.D. (outside diameter) copper tubing. Be sure both ends of copper tubing are cut square.

Using a grounded drill, drill a 1/4"(6.35 mm) hole in the cold water pipe you have selected.

6. Fasten shutoff valve to cold water pipe with pipe clamp. Be sure outlet end is solidly in the 1/4"(6.35 mm) drilled hole in the
water pipe and that washer is under the pipe clamp. Tighten packing nut. Tighten the pipe clamp screws slowly and evenly so the washer makes a watertight seal. Do not overtighten or
you may crush the copper tubing.
7. Slip the compression sleeve and compression nut on the copper tubing as shown. Insert the end of the tubing into the outlet end squarely as far as it will go. Screw the compression
nut onto the outlet end with an adjustable wrench. Do not overtighten.
8. Place the free end of the tubing into a container or sink, and turn ON main water supply and flush out the tubing until water
is clear. Turn OFF the shutoff valve on the water pipe. Coil the copper tubing.
Connect to Refrigerator
Style 1
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. Remove and discard the shipping tape and the black nylon plug from the gray, coiled water tubing on the rear of the refrigerator.
3. If the gray water tube supplied with the refrigerator is not long enough, a 1/4"x1/4"(6.35 mm x 6.35 mm) coupling is needed in
order to connect the water tubing to an existing household water supply line. Thread the provided nut onto the coupling on the end of the copper tubing.
NOTE: Tighten the nut by hand. Then tighten it with a wrench two more turns. Do not overtighten.
Connect to Water Line
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. Turn OFF main water supply. Turn ON nearest faucet long enough to clear line of water.

For your convenience, your refrigerator controls are preset at the factory. When you first install your refrigerator, make sure that the controls are still preset. The Refrigerator Control and the Freezer Control should both be set to the "mid-settings."

1. Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
2. Flush the water system. See "Water and Ice Dispensers."
NOTE: It may take up to 24 hours for your ice maker to begin producing ice.
IMPORTANT:
Your product will not cool when the Refrigerator Control is set to OFR
The Refrigerator Control adjusts the refrigerator compartment temperature. The Freezer Control adjusts the freezer compartment temperature. Higher numbered settings make the compartment colder. Lower numbered settings make the temperature less cold.
Wait 24 hours before you put food into the refrigerator. If you add food before the refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil.
1. Push control button on the side of the control box and release it.
2. The control will pop out. Turn the control to the desired setting.
3. Push the control in to lock it into place.
NOTE: Adjusting the Refrigerator and Freezer Controls to a higher (colder) than recommended setting will not cool the
compartments any faster.
Adjusting Controls
Give the refrigerator time to cool down completely before adding food. It is best to wait 24 hours before you put food into the
refrigerator. The settings indicated in the previous section should be correct for normal household refrigerator usage. The controls are set correctly when milk orjuice is as cold as you like and when
ice cream is firm. If you need to adjust temperatures in the refrigerator or freezer,
use the settings listed in the chart below as a guide. Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments.

The control can be adjusted to properly chill meats or vegetables. The air inside the pan is cooled to prevent "spot" freezing and can be set to keep meats at the National Livestock and Meat Board
recommended storage temperatures of 28° to 32°F (-2° to 0°C). The convertible vegetable/meat drawer control comes preset at the lowest meat setting.
To store meat:
Set the control to one of the three MEAT settings to store meat at its optimal storage temperature.
To store vegetables:
Set the control to VEG to store vegetables at their optimal storage temperatures.
NOTE: If food starts to freeze, move the control to the left (less cold). Remember to wait 24 hours between adjustments.

You can control the amount of humidity in the moisture-sealed crisper. Adjust the control to any setting between LOW and HIGH.
LOW (open) for best storage of fruits and vegetables with skins. HIGH (closed) for best storage of fresh, leafy vegetables.
Cool air from the freezer is directed to the refrigerator door bin directly beneath the vents.
NOTE: The dairy compartment and can rack are not associated with the Chilled Door Bin feature.
Chilled Door Bin Control
The chilled door bin control is located on the left-hand side of the refrigerator compartment.
NOTES:
The dispensing system will not operate when the freezer door is open.
After connecting the refrigerator to a water source, flush the water system by dispensing water into a sturdy container until you draw and discard 1.5 gal. (5.4 L) of water, or for
approximately 3 minutes after the water begins dispensing. The flushing process cleans the water system and clears air from the lines. As the air is cleared from the lines, water may spurt out of the dispenser.
Allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool down and chill water.
Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice. Discard the first three batches of ice produced.
The Water Dispenser
IMPORTANT: Dispense enough water every week to maintain a
fresh supply.
To Dispense Water (Standard}:
1. Press a sturdy glass against the water dispenser pad OR place the glass below the water dispenser and press the WATER button.
NOTE: While dispensing water and for 5 seconds after dispensing has stopped, the digital display will show how much water has been dispensed. The default unit is ounces.
To switch to cups or liters, press the UNITS button before dispensing.
2. Remove the glass OR release the button to stop dispensing.
To Dispense Water (Measured Fill):
Measured Fill allows you to dispense a specified amount of water with the touch of a few buttons. In Custom mode, you can dispense any amount within a specified range. In Water Bottle mode, you can dispense pre-set amounts according to the size of the container.
NOTE: The exact amount of water you select will be dispensed. Be sure that the container is empty and can hold the entire volume. If ice is in the container, you may need to adjust your
selection.
1. Press MEASURED FILL until the light turns on. Press MEASURED FILL again to turn the feature off.
NOTE: The dispenser will automatically turn off Measured Fill after one minute of inactivity. When Measured Fill is turned off,
any changes you have made will be lost and all defaults will be restored.
2. Press CONTAINER to change from Custom mode to Water Bottle mode.
A. Chilled door bin control
Turn the control clockwise (right) to reduce the flow of cold air to the bin and make it less cold.
Turn the control counterclockwise (left) to increase the flow of cold air to the bin and make it colder.
Depending on your model, your water and ice dispensers may have one or more of the following features: a rotating water
dispenser faucet and pull-out tray, a special light that turns on when you use the dispenser, or a lock option to avoid unintentional dispensing.

Rotating Faucet and Pull-out Tray (onsome models)
Your dispenser may include a rotating water faucet and a small pull-out tray at the bottom of the dispenser.
The Ice Dispenser
Ice dispenses from the ice maker storage bin in the freezer when the dispenser pad is pressed. The dispensing system will not
operate when the freezer door is open. To turn off the ice maker, see "Ice Maker & Storage Bin."
Before dispensing ice, select which type of ice you prefer by pressing the CUBED or CRUSHED button. For crushed ice, cubes
are crushed before being dispensed. This may cause a slight delay when dispensing crushed ice. Noise from the ice crusher is normal, and pieces of ice may vary in size. When changing from
crushed to cubed, a few ounces of crushed ice will be dispensed along with the first cubes.
To Dispense Ice:
1. If the ice storage bin is located on the door, remove the temporary shield from underneath the ice storage bin. See "Ice Maker and Storage Bin."
2. Press the button to select the desired type of ice.
Cut Hazard
Use a sturdy g}ase when dispensing ice, Failure to do so can result in cuts.
3. Press a sturdy glass against the ice dispenser pad. Hold the glass close to the dispenser opening so ice does not fall
outside of the glass. IMPORTANT: You do not need to apply a lot of pressure to the
pad in order to activate the ice dispenser. Pressing hard will not make the ice dispense faster or in greater quantities.
4. Remove the glass to stop dispensing. NOTE: Ice may continue to dispense for up to 10 seconds
after removing the glass from the pad. The dispenser may continue to make noise for a few seconds after dispensing.

B. Pull-out tray
The faucet rotates up to 180° to allow for easy dispensing into large containers. Rotate it by pressing PUSH HERE, located on the right-hand side of the faucet as shown.

NOTE: When using the dispenser with the faucet rotated, do not use the water dispenser pad. Only use the WATER button to dispense. Dispensing by pressing the container against the water dispenser pad may result in unintentional spilling.
The tray can be pulled out approximately 2" (5.08 cm) to better support large containers. It is designed to catch small spills and allow for easy cleaning. There is no drain in the tray.
NOTE: The tray can be removed from the dispenser and carried to the sink to be emptied or cleaned. Pull the tray out
until it hits the stop, then gently lift up on the back of the tray and slide it out the rest of the way.
The Dispenser Light (on some models)
When you use the dispenser, the light will automatically turn on. If you want the light to be on continuously, you may choose either
ON or NIGHT LIGHT. ON: Press LIGHT to turn the dispenser light on.
NIGHT LIGHT: Press LIGHT a second time to select the Night Light. The dispenser light will automatically adjust to become brighter as the room brightens, dimmer as the room darkens.
OFF: Press LIGHT a third time to turn the dispenser light off. The dispenser lights are LEDs that can not be changed. If it
appears that your dispenser lights are not working, be sure that the light sensor is not blocked (in Night Light mode). See
"Troubleshooting" for more information.
The Dispenser Lock (on some models)
Your dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to prevent unintentional dispensing by small children and pets.
NOTE: The lock feature does not shut off power to the product, to the ice maker, or to the dispenser light. It simply deactivates the ice and water dispensers. To turn off the ice maker, see "Ice Maker & Storage Bin."
Press and hold LOCKOUT for 3 seconds to lock the dispenser.
Press and hold LOCKOUT a second time to unlock the dispenser.
Removing and Replacing Ice Storage Bin
Turning the Ice Maker On/Off
Style 1:
The On/Off switch is located on the top right side of the freezer compartment.
To turn on the ice maker, slide the control to the ON (left) position.
To manually turn off the ice maker, slide the control to the OFF (right) position.
Style 2:
The On/Off switch is located on the ice maker, behind the ice maker cover door.
1. Hold the base of the storage bin with both hands and press the release button to lift the storage bin up and out.
NOTE: It is not necessary to turn the ice maker control to the OFF position when removing the storage bin. The sensor cover ("flipper door") on the left wall of the freezer stops the
ice maker from producing ice if the door is open or the storage bin is removed.
2. Replace the storage bin on the door and push down to make sure it is securely in place.
Do not use with water that is microbiologicatIy unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or

after the system.

To turn on the ice maker, flip the switch to the ON (top) position.
To manually turn off the ice maker, flip the switch to the OFF (bottom) position.
NOTE: Your ice maker has an automatic shutoff. The ice maker sensors will automatically stop ice production when the ice
storage bin is full orthe freezer door is opened, but the control will remain in the ON position.
REMEMBER:
Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice. Discard the first three batches of ice produced.
The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the water supplied to your ice maker. Avoid connecting the ice maker to a softened water supply. Water softener chemicals (such as salt) can damage parts of the ice maker and lead to
poor quality ice. If asoftened water supply cannot be avoided, make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well
maintained.
Do not use anything sharp to break up the ice inthe bin or bucket. This can cause damage to the ice container and the
dispenser mechanism.
Do not store anything on top of or in the ice maker or storage bin.
The filter status light will help you know when to change your water filter. The light will change from green to yellow. This tells you that it is almost time to change the filter. It is recommended
that you replace the filter when the status light changes to red OR water flow to your water dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably.
After changing the filter, reset the filter status light by pressing the FILTER RESET button. The status light will change from red to
green when the system is reset.
Non-indicator Water Filter (on some models)
If your refrigerator does not have the status light, you should change the water filter every 6 months depending upon your
usage. If the water flow to the water dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably before 6 months have passed, replace the
water filter more often.
Changing the Water Filter
1. Press the eject button to release the filter from the base grille.
2. Pull the filter straight out.
3. Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it from the filter. IMPORTANT: Do not discard the cap. It is part of your
refrigerator. Keep the cap to use with the replacement filter.
4. Align the ridge on the cap with the arrow on the new filter and turn the cap until it snaps into place.
NOTE: You can run the dispenser without a filter. Your water will not be filtered. Simply insert the cap all of the way into the base grille and rotate the cap until it is firmly in place.
5. Remove the protective covers from the O-rings. Be sure the O-rings are still in place after the covers are removed.
6. Push the filter into the base grille. The eject button will pop back out when the filter is fully engaged.
7. Flush the water system. See "Water and Ice Dispensers."
REFRIGERATORCARE
Explosion Hazard
Use nonflammabme cleaner, Failure to do so can result in death, expmosion, or fire,
Both the refrigerator and freezer sections defrost automatically. However, clean both sections about once a month to prevent
odors from building up. Wipe up spills immediately. IMPORTANT: Because air circulates between both sections, any
odors formed in one section will transfer to the other. You must thoroughly clean both sections to eliminate odors. To prevent
odor transfer and drying out of food, wrap or cover foods tightly. To Clean Your Refrigerator:
NOTE: Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners such as window sprays, scouring cleansers, flammable fluids, cleaning waxes,
concentrated detergents, bleaches or cleansers containing petroleum products on plastic parts, interior and door liners or gaskets. Do not use paper towels, scouring pads, or other harsh cleaning tools.
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. Hand wash, rinse, and dry removable parts and interior surfaces thoroughly. Use a clean sponge or soft cloth and a
mild detergent in warm water.

Wash stainless steel and painted metal exteriors with a clean sponge or soft cloth and a mild detergent in warm water.

There is no need for routine condenser cleaning in normal home operating environments. If the environment is particularly greasy or dusty, or there is significant pet traffic in the home, the condenser should be cleaned every 2 to 3 months to ensure maximum efficiency.
If you need to clean the condenser:
Removethe base grille.
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean the grille, the open areas behind the grille and the front surface area
of the condenser.
Replace the base grille when finished.

Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
NOTE: Not all bulbs will fit your refrigerator. Be sure to replace the bulb with one of the same size, shape and wattage. Replacement bulbs are available from your dealer.
The dispenser lights are LEDs that can not be changed.
All other lights require a 40-watt bulb.
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. Remove light shield when applicable, NOTE: To clean the light shield, wash it with warm water and
liquid detergent. Rinse and dry the shield well.
3. Remove light bulb and replace with one of the same size, shape and wattage.
4. Replace light shield when applicable.
5. Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.

The refrigerator will not operate
E_ectrical Shock Hazard
P_ug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong, Do not use an adapter.
Do not use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death,
fire, or electrical shock.
Power cord unplugged? Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Is outlet working? Plug in a lamp to see if the outlet is
working. Household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Replace
the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call an electrician.
Are controls on? Make sure the refrigerator controls are on. See "Using the Controls."
New installation? Allow 24 hours following installation for the refrigerator to cool completely.
NOTE: Adjusting the temperature controls to coldest setting will not cool either compartment more quickly.
The motor seems to run too much
Your new refrigerator may run longer than your old one due to its high-efficiency compressor and fans. The unit may run even
longer if the room is warm, a large food load is added, doors are opened often, or if the doors have been left open.
Therefrigerator is noisy
Refrigerator noise has been reduced over the years. Due to this reduction, you may hear intermittent noises from your new
refrigerator that you did not notice from your old model. Below are listed some normal sounds with an explanation.
Buzzing - heard when the water valve opens to fill the ice maker
Pulsating - fans/compressor adjusting to optimize performance
Rattling - flow of refrigerant, water line, or from items placed on top of the refrigerator
Sizzling/Gurgling - water dripping on the heater during defrost cycle
Popping - contraction/expansion of inside walls, especially during initial cool-down
Water running - may be heard when water melts during the defrost cycle and runs into the drain pan
Creaking/Cracking - occurs as ice is being ejected from the ice maker mold.
The doors will not close completely
Door blocked open? Move food packages away from door.
Bin or shelf in the way? Push bin or shelf back in the correct position.
The doors are difficult to open

Are the gaskets dirty or sticky? Clean gaskets with mild soap and warm water,
The lights do not work
Is a light bulb loose in the socket or burned out? See "Changing the Light Bulbs."
Is the dispenser light set to ON? The dispenser light will operate only when the levers are pressed. If you want the dispenser light to stay on continuously, set the dispenser light to ON, or NIGHT LIGHT or AUTO. See "Water and Ice
Dispensers."
Is the dispenser light set to NIGHT LIGHT or AUTO? If the dispenser is set to the NIGHT LIGHT or AUTO mode, be sure
the dispenser light sensor is not blocked. See "Water and Ice Dispensers."
Temperature is too warm
New installation? Allow 24 hours following installation for the refrigerator to cool completely.
Door(s) opened often or left open? Allows warm air to enter refrigerator. Minimize door openings and keep doors fully
closed.
Large load of food added? Allow several hours for refrigerator to return to normal temperature.
Controls set correctly for the surrounding conditions? Adjust the controls a setting colder. Check temperature in 24 hours. See "Using the Controls."
There is interior moisture buildup
NOTE: Some moisture buildup is normal.
Humid room? Contributes to moisture buildup.
Door(s) opened often or left open? Allows humid air to enter refrigerator. Minimize door openings and keep doors fully
closed.
The ice maker is not producing ice or not enough ice
Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open.
Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce water flow. Straighten the water source line,
Ice maker turned on? Make sure wire shutoff arm or switch (depending on model) is in the ON position.
New installation? Wait 24 hours after ice maker installation for ice production to begin. Wait 72 hours for full ice
production,
Large amount of ice recently removed? Allow 24 hours for ice maker to produce more ice.
Ice cube jammed in the ice maker ejector arm? Remove ice from the ejector arm with a plastic utensil.
Reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to your cold water supply? This can decrease water pressure.

The ice cubes are hollow or small
NOTE: This is an indication of low water pressure.
Water shutoff valve not fully open? Turn the water shutoff valve fully open.
Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce water flow. Straighten the water source line.
Reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to your cold water supply? This can decrease water pressure. See "Water Supply Requirements."
Questions remain regarding water pressure? Call a licensed, qualified plumber.

Off-taste, odor or gray color in the ice
The water dispenser will not operate properly
New plumbing connections? New plumbing connections can cause discolored or off-flavored ice.
Ice stored too long? Discard ice. Wash ice bin. Allow 24 hours for ice maker to make new ice.
Odor transfer from food? Use airtight, moisture proof packaging to store food.
Are there minerals (such as sulfur) in the water? A water filter may need to be installed to remove the minerals.
Is there a water filter installed on the refrigerator? Gray or dark discoloration in ice indicates that the water filtration
system needs additional flushing.
The ice dispenser will not operate properly
If the ice storage bin is located on the door, remove the temporary shield from underneath the ice storage bin. See
"Ice Maker and Storage Bin."
Freezer door closed completely? Close the door firmly. If it does not close completely, see "The doors will not close completely."
Ice bin installed correctly? Be sure the ice bin is firmly in position.
New installation? Wait 24 hours after ice maker installation for ice production to begin. Wait 72 hours for full ice production.
Ice stuck in the delivery chute? Use a plastic utensil to clear the delivery chute.
Has the wrong ice been added to the bin? Use only cubes produced by the current ice maker.
Has the ice melted around the auger (metal spiral} in the ice bin? Dump the ice cubes and clean the ice bin.
Cut Hazard
Use a sturdy glass when diepensing ice. Faimureto do so can reeu}t in cuts.
Freezer door closed completely? Close the door firmly. If it does not close completely, see "The doors will not close
completely."
Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open.
Is the water pressure at least 30 psi (207 kPa)? The water pressure to the home determines the flow from the dispenser. See "Water Supply Requirements."
Kink in the home water source line? Straighten the water source line.
New installation? Flush and fill the water system. Water filter installed on the refrigerator? The filter may be
clogged or incorrectly installed. Is a reverse osmosis water filtration system connected to
your cold water supply? See "Water Supply Requirements" in either the Installation Instructions or the Use & Care Guide.
Water is leaking from the dispenser
NOTE: One or two drops of water after dispensing is normal.
Glass not being held under the dispenser long enough? Hold the glass under the dispenser 2 to 3 seconds after releasing the dispenser lever.
New installation? Flush the water system. See "Water and Ice Dispensers."
Recently changed water filter? Flush the water system. See "Water and Ice Dispensers."
The dispenser water is not cool enough
NOTE: Water from the dispenser is chilled to only 50°F (10°C).
New installation? Allow 24 hours after installation for the water supply to cool completely.
Recently dispensed large amount of water? Allow 24 hours for water supply to cool completely.
Water not been recently dispensed? The first glass of water may not be cool. Discard the first glass of water.
Refrigerator connected to a cold water pipe? Make sure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water pipe. See "Water Supply Requirements."
Is the ice dispenser stalling while dispensing "crushed" ice? Change the ice button from "crushed" to "cubed." If
cubed ice dispenses correctly, depress the button for "crushed" ice and begin dispensing again.
Has the dispenser arm been held in too long? Ice will stop dispensing when the arm is held in too long. Wait 3 minutes
for dispenser motor to reset before using again.
