Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions, in compliance with IEC/EN 60456. In the home, they may vary depending on the individual water supply pressure and temperature, the load and the type of wash. The consumption data indicated are based on an inlet water temperature of approx. 15°C through the cold fill valve as well as the hot fill valve (if available). If your washing machine has a hot fill valve, connection of this valve to hot water supply will lower the energy consumption by reduced heating times, depending on the individual hot fill inlet water temperature. Water and energy consumptions refer to the default setting of the programmes, with temperature and load as indicated in the table; selecting any options or changing the spin speed will also change the consumption data.
* Reference programmes for Energy Label. ** To reduce the water temperature, some cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle before the water is drained.
*** Automatic adaptation of programme duration after detection of wash load.
Speed 15 30 3.0 25 0.15 0:15
The programme duration may differ from the values indicated above as it depends on the operation conditions applicable at that time (see also “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).

LOAD LAUNDRY, ADD DETERGENT AND SELECT PROGRAMME
Load the laundry, add detergent and turn the programme selector to the desired programme and temperature; the “Start/Pause” indicator blinks. The spin speed shown on the display can be altered by pressing the “Spin” button .
SELECT ANY DESIRED OPTION
When a combination of programme/option or option/option is not possible, the indicator switches off automatically. Unsuitable combinations of options are deselected automatically.
“Prewash” button
• Adds a prewash cycle to the wash programme selected; prolongs the programme by about a quarter of an hour.
• Recommended for heavily soiled laundry (e.g. with sand or granular dirt).
• Do not use liquid detergent for the main wash when activating the “Prewash” option.
“Rapid” button
• Enables quicker washing by shortening the programme duration.
• Recommendable for only lightly soiled laundry.
• Not selectable for Cotton 95°C.
“Clean +” button
• Choose this option if you use an in-wash additive for stain removal (powder, for example “Vanish”) - it will optimize the additive’s efficiency to get better wash performance and stain removal.
• Use with maximum load.
• Add an appropriate amount of in-wash additive for stain

removal (powder) to the main wash chamber, together with your detergent (only use powder detergent with this option). Respect the manufacturer’s dosing instructions.
• May prolong the programme by up to 15 minutes.
• Appropriate for use of stain removers and bleaches on oxygen basis. Chlorine or perborate bleaches must not be used!
“Cold wash 15°” button
• Saves energy used for water heating while maintaining a good wash result.
• Supports colour maintenance when washing coloured laundry.
• Recommendable for lightly soiled laundry without stains.
• Make sure that your detergent is suitable for cold wash temperatures (15 or 20°C).
• Not selectable for Cotton 95°C.
“Intensive rinse” button
• More water is added and rinse cycle is prolonged.
• This option is particularly suitable for areas with very soft water or for washing baby linen, and helps people with allergies.
“Easy ironing” button
• Reduces creasing by an increased water quantity and a very gentle spin.
“Rinse hold” button
• The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle to avoid creasing and prevent colours from changing.
• Particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time, or if you want to drain only.
• The programme stops to “Rinse hold” at the time the “Rinse hold” indicator on the display blinks. The “Start/Pause” indicator blinks as well.
Approx. Programme Duration
(hours : minutes)
without “Rapid” with “Rapid”
Terminate the “Rinse hold” option :
• Press the “Start/Pause” button ; the programme will terminate automatically with the final spin cycle for the present wash programme.
• If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector to the “Drain” programme and press the “Start/
Pause” button to start draining.
“Spin” button
• Every programme has a predefined spin speed.
• Press the button to set another spin speed.
• If you select spin speed “0”, the final spinning is cancelled and the water is drained out only. However, intermediate spin phases remain during the rinse.
SET CYCLE END
With this function you can postpone your programme to complete at a later time: press the button to select in how many hours the programme shall be finished. Thus, it allows you to have your laundry ready at a particular time and to profit from more favourable energy rates during the night, for example.
• The time until the “Cycle end” can be selected in full hour time segments (1 to 24 h). When you press the button, the shortest possible time will be displayed; keep on pressing the button to loop through all the available times. To remove it again, keep on pressing the button until you see the value “0:00”.
• When you have selected the desired time until the “Cycle end”, press “Start/Pause” - the countdown will begin.
• During the countdown, you can still modify the programme setting (select or deselect options, change spin speed etc.). If the modifications prolong the programme duration so that it overruns the originally set time until the “Cycle end”, the programme will start immediately.
• Sometimes the programme may finish before the selected time until the “Cycle end” has expired (e.g. for small loads). In this case, the washing machine will tumble the laundry regularly to keep it fresh, until the selected “Cycle end” time has expired. During tumbling, the display will show an animation. The tumbling phase can be stopped at any time either by pressing any button or by rotating the programme selector; the animation will stop and the door will unlock in about 1 minute as indicated on the display.
“DOOR OPEN” INDICATOR
Before starting and after end of a programme, the lamp lights to show that the door can be opened. As long as a wash programme is running, the door remains locked and must on no account be forced open. In case you have an urgent need to open it during a running programme, refer to “Reset a running programme before the end”.
ECO MONITOR
The “Eco monitor” gives you a rough feedback about the power consumption of the programme setting you selected. As soon as you turn the programme selector to any programme, the “Eco monitor” is on.
less more
The indicator on the left is to show that the “Eco monitor” is active. The four indicators next to it show the degree of consumption: the less power your programme setting is forecasted to consume, the less indicators will light up. This depends on the programme, temperature and options selected, and also on the size of the wash load. For that reason, the forecasted degree of power consumption may adapt when the washing machine detects the wash load.
PROGRAMME START
Open the tap and press the “Start/Pause” button . The indicator next to the “Start/Pause” button lights up. When the laundry load is detected or the programme duration is adapted, the display shows an animation.
FAILURE INDICATORS
If one of the failure indicators blinks, consult the “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use.
“Water tap closed”: no or not sufficient inlet water.
“Service”: failure or malfunction of an electrical
component.
“Clean pump”: waste water is not pumped out.
Spin speed on display blinks: unbalance during spinning.
PROGRAMME END
The “Door open” indicator lights up, and the display shows “End”.
1. Turn the programme selector to the “Off/O” position.
2. Close the water tap.
3. Open the door and unload the machine.
4. Leave the door ajar to allow the drum to dry.
CHANGE PROGRAMME AND/OR OPTIONS AFTER PROGRAMME START
1. Press the “Start/Pause” button to pause the programme. The indicator blinks.
2. Select the new programme, temperature, any options and another spin speed if you want.
3. Press the “Start/Pause” button again. The new programme continues at the same position where the previous programme was interrupted. Do not add detergent for this programme.
RESET A RUNNING PROGRAMME BEFORE THE END
The “Reset” button cancels a programme before the end.
Press and hold the “Reset” button for a few seconds; an animation appears on the display. The water is drained; it may last some time until you can open the door.
