INSTALLATION

Cooktop

The cooktop must be set into a worktop 30 to 50 mm thick

There must be nothing between the cooktop and the oven (cross rails, brackets, etc.).

The distance between the lower face of the glass ceramic hob and any cupboard or separating panel must be at least 25 mm.

If the cooktop is to be installed next to a column unit, leave a distance of at least 100 mm from the edge of the cooktop.

Make an opening in the worktop of the dimensions shown in the Product Description Sheet supplied separately.

Apply the supplied gasket to the cooktop (unless it has already been fitted), after having cleaned its surface.

Important

In order to prevent the electronic circuits from overheating, and therefore from being damaged, we recommend the following:

Do not install the cooktop near a dishwasher or washing machine, so that the electronic circuits do not come into contact with steam or moisture, which could damage them.

Make sure that the oven (manufactured by us) has a cooling fan to protect electronic parts as much as possible if the cooktop is installed above it.

If the temperature of the electronic circuits exceeds the maximum permitted temperature, the cooktop will switch off automatically; in this case, wait for a few minutes until the internal temperature of the electronic circuits reaches a tolerable level, at which point it will be possible to switch the cooktop on again.

If a 900 mm cooktop is to be installed over a 600 mm oven (which must be of our manufacture and equipped with a cooling fan), a separator panel must be used in order to prevent access to the lower face of the cooktop.

Do not forget to switch the cooktop off. Should you inadvertently forget to switch it off, the cooktop is provided with an automatic switch-off feature after 1 to 6 hours of operation, depending on the cooking level selected.

Assembly

The glass ceramic hob is designed to be fitted into a worktop.

1.Position the gasket around the entire perimeter of the cooktop.

2.To secure the appliance in the worktop, use the springs provided, screwing them into place, taking into account the thickness of the worktop, as shown in the figure.
