Before connecting and using your loudspeakers, please bear the following points in mind:
Switch off the amplifier and all sources before making connections to your sound system.When you switch on the
system or change sources, set the volume controlto minimum and turn up the level gradually.
The positionof your VolumeControl is NOT areliable guide as to themaximum capabilities of your soundsystem. Playing
thesystem with extremesettings ofvolume andtone controls maydamage theamplifier and loudspeakers.
Donot connect loudspeakerterminals tothe mains supply.
Ensurethat yourloudspeakers are correctlywired andare inphase.
Donot subject yourloudspeakers toexcessive cold,heat or sunlight.
Ifyou are shelfmounting yourloudspeakers, makesure they arenot placedon thesame shelf asyour sourcecomponents.
Do not place heavy objects on top of loudspeaker cabinet s. If you play the loudspeakers with the grilles removed be
carefulto protectthe drive unitsfrom childrenand pets.
Do notuse makeshift stands. Always fit a manufacturer'sapproved stand using the instructions and thefixings provided.
Yourdealer willadvise you.
Do not attempt to dismantle the loudspeaker. There are no user serviceable par ts inside and you will invalidate the
warranty.
Some Front and allCentre loudspeakers aremagnetically screened.You should sitefront loudspeakers atleast 0.5 maway
fromT V sets and magneticstorage media. All Wharfedale centre loudspeakers may be sited close to a TV screen with no
adverseeffects. Thespecifications onPages 20 and21 haveAV shieldingdetails foryour loudspeakers.
When connecting your loudspeakers, do notrun cable across areas of open floor where they may be a source of danger.
Runthem safely,around roomboundaries if necessary.
