Wharfedale’s revolutionary new
LoudPanel™ speakers are totally
different to traditional
loudspeakers. Instead of a wooden
box with cone-type drive units it
creates a full spectrum of sounds
from a thin flat panel. After 5
years of intensive development
work Wharfedale has perfected the
LoudPanel which works rather like
the sound board in a piano. Striking
a piano string on its own hardly
produces any sound but when the
string is stretched over a sound
board the piano notes can be loud
enough to fill a concert hall. In the
LoudPanel a small transducer
vibrates the panel with the music
signal and then the panel
acoustically amplifies the sound to
normal listening levels.

Designed for background music and public
address applications in offices, hotels,
retail sites and other public places. This
unique product is visually identical to a
suspended ceiling tile. It can be fixed in
place in seconds - simply remove the
existing ceiling tile, replace it with the
WXT-04 ceiling tile LoudPanel™ and
connect the wires. Most importantly its
non-directional nature means that it
reproduces crystal clear music and voice
evenly over a wider area. Even more
dramatic, due to its disperse wavefront,
is the lack of interference between
multiple LoudPanels™ , or
from reflective boundaries.
In fact this new generation
of products work better
than ever in acoustically
reflective environments,
making for more effective
communication and safer
public spaces. Available in
100V line or direct line
(nominal 8Ohm) versions in
plain white, textured pattern or fissured
patterned finishes.
