The new MP Ser ies of power amplifiers, from Wharfedale
Professional, are the latest addition to the expanding range
of Wharfedale Professional electronics products. Built
to la st , the MP amplifiers are designed to wi th st an d the
rigours of l ife on the road as well as the challenges of
professional installation environments.
Sonic accur ac y and durability are the most impor tant
features of a power am pl ifier. The r ugged MP Ser ies amplifier s feature a hefty, all-steel chassis along with state of
the art electronic components, all housed within a unique
amplifier design that provides high power and c le an signal
reproduction in a vari et y of applications. Each amplifier
is tes te d individually as a par t of our factor y’s rigorous
Quality Control progr am that ensures the reliability and
stability that is expected of products with the Wharfedale
Professional name.

The MP Series power ampliers feature a continuously
variable speed fan for optimum cooling. The airow
generated by the fan ows over the copper plated
heatsink resulting in efcient heat dissipation, keeping the
output devices evenly cooled.
The MP Series ampliers also feature sophisticated
protection circuitry. When engaged, the thermal
overload protection mutes the input signal when unsafe
operating temperatures are detected. The short circuit
protection keeps the output devices operating within
safe parameters when short circuits are detected and
the ampliers also feature “Soft Start Protection” to
protect speakers from unwanted ‘pops’ when power is
switched on or off.
The MP Series ampliers feature the option of binding
posts or Speakon™ output connectors. Input connections
are made via 1/4” (6.3mm) TRS, balanced phone jacks as
well as balanced XLR connectors.
Comprehensive front panel LED indicators for
performance monitoring include POWER, PROTECT
and BRIDGE as well as PEAK level indicators for Channel
A and Channel B. The channel gain control knobs and
power switch are situated on the front panel for easy
access.
