Important
Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-
abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 4, 5 and 6 of this instruction manual.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED OFF
WITH DAMP CLOTH.
Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, IF NECESSARY.
CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION
HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS
1. Screw the Cam Bolt into the threaded inserts on the panel. Connect both panels together; making sure Cam
Bolt goes into the pre-drilled hole on the end of panel for Cam Lock.
2. Insert the Cam Loc k into the pre-dr illed large hole on the panel. Make sure the arrow on the face of Cam
Lock faces out and points towards Cam Bolt.
3. Take a Phillips screwdriver and rotate the Ca m Lock clockwise to lock the Cam Bolt in place.
4. Plug the Cam Lock Cover into the cross slot of the Cam Lock to conceal the Cam.

4-Port USB Desktop Hub User Guide
Please read this user guide before installing and using your integrated desktop hub.
INTRODUCTION
The integrated 4-Port USB 2.0 Desktop Hub offers 480
Mbps high transmission rate and can connect up to three
devices, such as a digital camera, MP3 player, cell
phone or wireless mouse. With plug-and-play capability,
you can add a device without restarting your computer.
INSTALLATION
The hub installs automatically. If necessary, follow the
onscreen instructions to complete installation. Once the
default drivers are installed, the red LED status indicator
light will glow and you can connect devices to the hub.
NOTES
• To reach USB 2.0 high speed, your computer or host
adapter card must support USB 2.0. This hub is also
backwards compatible with USB 1.1.
• When using the hub with a computer that has a
version 1.1 USB interface, all of the devices attached
to the hub will run at USB 1.1 speed.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to
comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio

Utility Drawer Assembling
1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assembly the unit on a
carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.
2. Securely screw 4 Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Utility Drawer Front (S), as
shown in the illustration.
3. Attach the Utility Drawer Side Panels (S2 and S3) to the Drawer Front (S) by engaging four Small Cam
Locks (1) (Refer to page 2 on Cam Lock system operation supplement). Make sure that the grooves
face
inward and
line up with each other.
4. Slide the Utility Drawer Bottom Panel (S4) into the grooves between the Drawer Side Panels (S2 and
S3) until fully inserted into the Drawer Front (S). Make sure the finished surface will face up.

Utility Drawer Assembling
5. Fasten the Utility Drawer Back Panel (S1) to Drawer Side Panels (S2 and S3) using four 1-1/4” Wood
Screws (7). Make sure that the Drawer Bottom Panel (S4) fits securely into the groove of the Drawer
Back Panel (S1). Tighten all the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
6. Using the pilot holes as a guide, align and attach the Le ft Slide Runner (DL) to the Drawer Le ft Side
Panel (S2) using three 1/2”
Black Screws (6). Make sure that the roller end of Slide Runner faces
backward. Tightly fasten with a Phillips screwdriver.
7. Repeat last step to attach the Right Slide Runner (DR) to the Drawer Right Side Panel (S3).

8. Turn the assembled drawer upright.
9. Attach one Handle (12) to the outside of the Drawer Front (S) using two provided Handle Bolts (13).
10. Pick up the 16” Ball Bearing Slides (Z) and separate th e Slide Runners for the following step. Extend
the Slide Runner all the way forward. Press the plastic release lever of the ball bearing slides up and
pull the Slide Runner complete out.
11. Attach the separated Slide Runners (Z) to the File Drawer Left and Right Side Panels (T2 and T3)
respectively with three 1/2” Black Screws (6) per slide runner. Make sure that the closed end of the
Slide Runner against the front edge of drawer side panel.

File Drawer Assembling
12. Securely screw 4 Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the File Drawer Front (T), as shown.
13. Attach File Drawer Side Panels (T2 and T3) to the File Drawer Front (T) by engaging four Small Cam
Locks (1). Make sure that the grooves
face inward and line up with each other.
14. Slide the File Drawer Bottom Panel (T4) into the grooves between the Drawer Side Panels (T2 and T3)
until fully inserted into the File Drawer Front (T). Make sure the finished surface will face up.

File Drawer Assembling
15. Fasten the File Drawer Back Panel (T1) to File Drawer Side Panels (T2 and T3) using four 1-1/4” Wood
Screw
s (7). Make sure that Drawer Bottom Panel (T4) fits securely into th e groove of the Dr awer Back
Panel (T1). Tighten all the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
16. Turn the assembled drawer upright. Fit the Guide Rails (U) onto the File Drawer Side Panels (T2 and
T3) with the high side facing inward.
17. Hook 2 Guide Blocks (W) onto the high edge of each Guide Rail (U). Now, set the File Hanger (V) into
the slot of each pair Guide Blocks (W). Slide the File Plates forward and backward to keep hanging files
organized.
18. Attach a Drawer Handle (12) to the outside of the File Drawer Front (T) using two Handle Bolts (1 3).

19. Locate the Pull-out Tray Molding (N1) and the Sliding Shelf Molding (O1) and securely screw the Cam
Bolts (3) into the designated small holes, as shown in the illustration.
20. Insert two Wood Dowels (4) into the inner end holes of the Sliding Shelf (O). Tap in with a rubber
mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all dowels.
NOTE: It is very important to use a small amount of glue on both ends of dowels.
21. Align the drilled holes on the Sliding Shelf Front Molding ( O1) with the ins erted Wood Dowels (4) on
the Sliding Shelf (O), and then press them together. Secure the Sliding Shelf Front Molding (O1) in
place by engaging three Large Cam Locks (2). As shown.
22. Repeat last two steps to attach the Pull-out Tray Front Molding (N1) to the Pull-out Tray (N).

23. Pick up 14” Left and Right Sliding Shelf Slides (YL and YR) and separate the Slide Runners for the
following step. Extend the Slid e Runner al l the way forward. Press the plastic release lever o f the slides
up and pull the Slide Runner com ple te o ut.
24. With the pilot holes as a guide, attach th e separated Left and Right Slide Runners (YL and YR) to the
bottom of Sliding Shelf (O) using four 1/2” Black Screws (6) through the metal tabs and screw into the
pilot holes. Ensure the closed end of the slides points towards the sliding shelf front molding.
25. Apply the same technique to attach the 12” Pull-out Tray Slides (XL and XR) to the Pull-out Tray (N).

26. Locate the Desk Top (A), the Left Pedestal Side Panels (B and C) and the Right Pedestal Side Panels (H
and I) and securely screw the Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes, as shown in the illustration.
27. With the pilot holes as a guide, fasten two Hinge Bases (14) to the Left Pedestal Left Side Panel (B),
using two 1/2”
Zinc Screws (5) per hinge. As shown. Make sure that the slot on the top of Hinge Base
faces the closest edge.
28. With the pilot holes as a guide, align and a ttach the Left Slide Tracks (CL) to the Left Pedestal Left
Side Panel (B) using three 1/2” Black Screws (6) through the small holes on the Track and screw into
place. Make sure the roller end of Slide Track faces forward. Tightly fasten with a Phillips screwdriver.
29. Repeat last step to attach the Right Slide Tracks (CR) to the Left Pedestal Right Panel (C).

30. Using the pilot holes as a guide, attach the separated Slide Tracks (YL, YR and Z) to the Right Pedestal
Left and Right Side Panels (H and I) respectively with three 1/2” Black Screws (6) per slide track.
Ensure the slide opening faces the closest edge. Tightly fasten with a Phillips screwdriver.
31. Fasten the Left Pedestal Bottom Stretchers (E) to the Left Pedestal Bottom Panel (D) using two Wood
Dowels (4) in each. Make sure that the Cam Lock holes face inward.
32. Pick up last assembly and attach it to the Left Pedestal Right Panel (C) using four Wood Dowels (4) and
four Large Cam Locks (2) . Mak e sur e th at th e fin ish ed edg e on the Bo ttom Pa nel (D ) wi ll fa ce the fron t
of the unit. As shown.
33. Align and attach Left Pedestal Middle Crossbar (F) to the Left Pedestal Right Panel (C) using one
Wood Dowel (4) and one Large Cam Lock (2). Ensure the Cam Locks will face the floor.
34. Repeat last two steps to attach the Left Pedestal Left Panel (B) at the other end.

35. Securely screw 2 Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Right Pedestal Bottom Panel (J),
as shown in the illustrati o n.
36. Align and attach the Right Pedestal Bottom Stretchers (K) to the Right Pedestal Bottom Panel (J) using
two Wood Dowels (4) and one Large Cam Lock (2) in each. Make sure that the Cam Locks face inward.
37. Pick up last assembly and attach it to the Right Pedestal Right Panel (I) using four Wood Dowels (4)
and four Large Cam Locks (2). Mak e sure that the finish ed edge on th e Righ t Pedestal Bottom P an el (J)
will face the front of the unit. As shown.
38. Align and attach Right Pedestal Middle Crossbar (L) to the Right Pedestal Right Panel (I) using one
Wood Dowel (4) and one Large Cam Lock (2). Ensure the Cam Locks point towards the bottom of the
unit.
39. Repeat last two steps to attach the Right Pedestal Left Panel (H) at the other end.

40. Attach the separated 12” Slide Tracks (XL and XR) to the Left Pedestal Right Panel (C) and the Right
Pedestal Left Panel (H) respectively with three 1/2” Black Screws (6) per slide track. Ensure the slide
opening points towards the front of the unit.
41. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Left Pedestal Right Panel (C)
and the Right Pedestal Left Panel (E), as shown in the illustration.
42. Attach the Modesty Panel (P) between the assembled Left and Right Pedestals using four Wood Dowels
(4) a nd four Large C am Lock s (2). As shown . Make sure that the Cam Locks point backwards and the
cut-out of the Modesty Panel is up.

43. Insert ten Wood Dowels (4) into the top inner holes of the assembled unit. DO NOT put dowels into the
Cam Bolt holes. Position the Desk Top (A) onto the inserted Wood Dowels (4) and attach it in place by
engaging ten Large Cam Locks (2).
44. Now, go back and tighten all Cam Locks and Screws. Make sure that all the parts are tight and there are
no gaps between the pieces. This will help keep the unit square.
45. Align and attach the Pedestal Back Panels (G and M) onto the assembled unit with the stained surface
facing backward. As shown. Make sure that the overlaps on the panels are even all the way around.
Gently hammer the 3/4” Ring Shank Nails (8) through the pre-drilled holes on the Back Panels.
NOTE
: We recommend attaching the back panels with the Ring Shank Nails at the corners first.

46. Extend the Hinges Arms (14) and rest the Hinge Cups onto the cutouts of the Desk Door Panel (Q).
Secure the Hinge Arms in place by using two 1/2”
Zinc Screws (5) in each.
47. Attach the Handle (12) to the front side of Door Panel (Q) with the provided Handle Bolts (13).
48. Pick up the Door Panel (Q) and at tach the extended Hinge Arms to the Hinge Bases installed on the
Left Pedestal Left Panel (B). Loosen the bolt on the back of Hinge Base for an easy fit. Align and insert
the “U” slot on Hinge Arm under the bolt head on the back of Hinge Base. Make sure that both door
hinges engage and function properly. Tighten the bolt on the Hinge Base to lock the hinges in place.
49. Open and close the door to make sure it is aligned and shut correctly. If nece ssary, adj ust the screws for
a good fit.
50. Insert the Shelf Pins (9) into the desired holes on the Left Pedestal Side Panels (B and C). Make sure
you place the four Shelf Pi ns in the same level so the shelf is not tilted . Tilt and rest the Adjustable
Shelf (R) onto the Shelf Pins (9) with the finished edge facing forward. Make sure that the end notches
of the Shelf fit onto the Shelf Pins properly. As shown.
51. Feed the cable of the USB Hub (11) through the large hole on Desk Top (A) and push th e hub over the
top hole.

52. Plug the Cam Lock Covers (10) onto the visible Cams Locks o to conceal the Cam Locks.
53. Extend the 16” Ball Bearing Slide Tracks on the pedestal side panels all the way forward (including ball
bearing cart). Align the Slide Runners on the File Drawer with the Slide Tracks and push the drawer
carefully inside until it stops.
NOTE: If the drawer does not go in smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step. If you need to
remove the drawer, please pull the drawer all the way out, then simultaneously push the plastic release
lever of the ball bearing slides up on o ne s i de and down on the other side, and then pull it completely out.
54. Repeat the same procedure to install the Pull-out Tray (N) and Sliding Shelf (O) in the frame.
55. To insert the assembled utility drawers into place, tip the front of dr awer down and drop the rollers of
the drawer Slide Runners behind the roll ers of Slide Tracks on th e unit. Lift the fr ont of the drawer up
and slide it into the unit.

Care and Maintenance
z Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.
z Use of furniture polish is not necessary. Should y ou choose to use polish, test first in an inconspicuou s area.
z Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’ s finis h.
z Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish.
z Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots.
z Liquid spills should be remove d immediately. Using a soft clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbin g.
z Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create
spotting within the furniture finish.
z Stains or marks from crayons or ink markers will be difficult to remove.
z In the event that your furni t ure is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a
professional to repair your furniture.
z Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.
Further advice about wood furniture care
It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity
changes can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from
direct sunlight as sun may damage the finish.
Proper care and cleaning at home will extend the life of your purchase. Following these important and helpful
tips will enhance your furniture as it ages.
A Touch-up Pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur during assembly or
shipping.
