Important

Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-

abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 3, 4 and 5 of this instruction manual.

NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED OFF

WITH DAMP CLOTH.

Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, IF NECESSARY.

CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION

HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS

1. Screw the Cam Bolt into the pre-drilled small holes on the panel. Connect both panels together; making sure

the Cam Bolt goes into the pre-drilled hole at the end of the panel with the Cam Lock.

2. Insert the Cam Lock into the pre-drilled large hole in the panel. Make sure the arrow on the Ca m Lock is

pointed towards the Cam Bolt.

3. Once the Cam Bolt is connected inside the Cam Lock, take a Phillips screwdriver (not included) and

tighten the Cam Lock clockwise.

4. Plug the Cam Lock Cover into the cross slot of the Cam Locks to conceal the cam.

You are now ready to assemble t he KD un it.

Utility Drawer Assembling

1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required p arts. Assembly the unit on a

carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.

2. Place one Drawer Front (V) on a level and protective surface with the hole s faci ng up. Se curely screw 4

Long Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes, as shown in the illustration.

3. Attach the Drawer Left and Right Side Panels (V2 and V3) to the Drawer Front (V) by engaging four

Small Cam Locks (1) (Refer to p age 2 on Cam Lock system o peration supple ment). Make sure that the
grooves face inward and li ne u p with e ach other.

4. Slide one Drawer Bottom Panel (V4) into the grooves between the Drawer Side Panels (V2 and V3)

until fully inserted into Drawer Front (V). Make sure that the finished surface is up.

Utility Drawer Assembling

5. Fasten the Drawer Back Panel (V1) to the Drawer Side Panels (V2 and V3) using four 1-1/4” Screws

(11). Make sure that the Drawer Bottom Panel (V4) fits securely into the groove of the Drawer Back
Panel (V1). Tighten all the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

6. Attach one Knob (21) to the outside of the Draw e r Front (V) using the provided Knob Bolt (22).

7. Repeat the same process to assemble the other utility drawer.

8. Place the Pigeon Cube Top Panel (U), the Pigeon Cube Outer Panels (U1) and the Pigeon Cube Inner

Panels (U2) on a level and protective surface with the holes facing up. Securely screw 16 Short Cam
Bolts (24) into the designated small holes, as shown in the illustration.

9. Insert one M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowel (5) into the middle end hole of one Pigeon Cube Bottom Panel

(U3). Tap in with a rubber mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both
ends of all dowels. NOTE

: It is very important to use a small am ou nt of glue on both ends of dowels.

10. Align and attach the Pigeon Cube Bottom Panel (U3) to one Pigeon Cube Outer Panel (U1) by engaging

two Small Cam Locks (1). Make sure that the Cam Locks (1) face the bottom of the unit.

11. Attach one Pigeon Cube Small Shelf (U4) to the Pigeon Cube Outer Panel (U1) with two M6 x 30 mm

Wood Dowels (5). Make sure that the raw edges on the Pigeo n Cube Small Shelf (U4) and the Pigeon
Cube Bottom Panel (U3) point towards t he sa me direction. As shown.

12. Insert two M6 x 55 mm Wood Dowels (6) into the other end holes of the Pigeon Small Shelf (U4) and

insert one M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowel (5) into the middle end hole of the Pigeon Cube Bottom Panel
(U3). Position one Pigeon Cube Inner Panel (U2) onto the inserted wood dowels and press them
together. Fasten the Pigeon Cube Inner Panel (U2) to the Pigeon Cube Bottom Panel (U3) by engaging
two Small Cam Locks (1). As shown below.

13. Repeat the same procedure to assemble the other pigeon cube.

14. Stand the assemble pigeon cubes upright.

15. Align the drilled holes of the Pigeon Cube Large Shelf (U5) with the inserted M6 x 55 mm Wood

Dowels (6) on the Pigeon Cube Inner Panels (U2) and press them together. Make sure that the raw
edges point towards the same direction.

16. Insert one M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowel (5) into the top inner hole of each Pigeon Cube Outer Panel (U1)

and Pige on Cube In n er Panel (U2). As shown.

17. Position the Pigeon Cub e Top Panel (U) onto the inserted Wood Dowels (5) making sure the back edges

are even with each other. Attach the Top Panel (U) in place by engaging eight Small Cam Locks (1) .

18. Now, go back and tighten all Cam Locks and Screws. Make sure that all the parts are tight and there are

no gaps between the pieces. This will help keep the unit square.

19. Turn over the last assembly on its front edges. Unfold the Pigeon Cube Back Panel (U6) and lay it to

the back edges of the assembled unit. Make sure that the overlaps on the panels are even all the way
around. Gently hammer the 3/4” Ring Shank Nails (14) through the pre-drilled holes on the Back Panel.

NOTE

: We recommend attaching back panel with the Ring Shank Nails at the corners first.

20. Plug 8 Cam Lock Covers with Rod (18) onto the visible Cams Locks to conceal the Cam Locks.

21. Pick up 14” Left and Right Slides (WL and WR) and separate the Slide Runners for the following steps.

Extend the Slide Runner all the w ay forw ard. Press the pla stic re lease lev er of the ball bea ring sl ides up
and pull the Slide Runner complete out.

22. Using the pilot holes as a guide, attach the sepa rated Slide Runners (WL and WR) to the Sliding Shelf

(K) respectively with two #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) per slide runner. As shown. Make sure the closed end of
Slide Runner against the finished edge of the Sliding Shelf.

23. Secure screw the Long Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Left and Right Side Posts

(BP and CP), as shown in the illustration.

24. Insert three M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the end holes of the Left Side Panel (B). As shown.

25. Align the drilled large holes on the Left Side Post (BP) with the inserted Wood Dowels (4) on the Left

Side Panel (B) and then press them togethe r. Make sure that the outer surfaces are flush with each other.
Fasten the Left Side Post (BP) to the Left Side Panel (B) by engaging four Large Cam Locks (2).

26. Repeat the same procedure to attach the Right Side Post (CP) to the Right Side Panel (C).

27. Align and attach the Left Bottom Molding (PL) to the Left Side Panel (B) using three 1-1/8” Bolts (7)

and three Flat Washers (8). As shown. Tighten the bolts with the provided Allen Wrench.

28. Repeat the same procedure to attach the Right Bottom Molding (PR) to the Right Side Panel (C).

29. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the large holes on the Slide Shelf Support (T) and attach

it to the Left Side Panel (B) using three 1-1/2” Screws (12). Tighten the screw with a Phillips
screwdriver. Make sure that the front pilot hole is closed to the Left Side Post (BP).

30. Attach the separated Slide Tracks (WL and WR) to the Lower Partition Panel (J) and the Slide Shelf

Support (T) respectively with three #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) per slide track. As shown below. Make sure
that the slide opening faces the front of the unit.

31. Using the pilot holes as a guide, install 2 Door Hinges (20) to the Left and Right Side Posts (BP and CP)

respectively with the flap with cutout to the outside, using two #6.5 x 1/2” Screws (10) per hinge flap.
As shown.

32. Securely screw the Long Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Left and Right Side

Panels (B and C), as shown in the illustration.

33. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the inner holes on the bo ttom edge of the Drawer Slide

Supports (QL, QM and QR) respectively. There are cam bolt holes on the top edge of each Drawer
Slide Support.

34. Align and attach the Drawer Slide Supports (QL, QM and QR) to the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel (E)

by inserting six 1-1/2”

Screws (12) through the countersunk holes and screw into place, as shown.

Tighten all the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Make sure that the finished edge of each Drawer
Slide Support faces the edge with notches of the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel (E).

35. Fasten the Drawer Housing Side Panels (R) to

the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel (E) using
two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) in each, as
shown. Make sure that the finished edges point
towards the same direction.

36. Securely screw 6 Cam Bolts (3) into the designated small holes on the Drawer Housing Top Panel (D),

as shown in the illustrati o n.

37. Insert the mounting plate of one Drop Lid Support (X) through the right slot of the Drawer Housing Top

Panel (D), making sure the metal br ac ket on the other end of the Drop Lid Support fa ces inward.

38. Fit the mounting plate of the Drop Lid Support (X) into the cutout of the Right Lid Support Arm (SR)

and secure in place by inserting three #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) through the countersunk holes of the
mounting plate and securely screw into the pilot holes on the Lid Support Arm. As shown.

39. Repeat the same procedure to attach the other Drop Lid Support (X) to the Left Lid Support Arm (SL).

40. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the inner end holes of each Drawer Housing Side Panel

(R) and the Drawer Slide Supports (QL, QM and QR).

41. Align the drilled holes underneath Drawer Housing Top Panel (D) with the inserted Wood Dowels (4)

and press them together. Make sure that the Lid Support Arms (SL and SR) locate between the Drawer
Housing Side Panels (S) and Drawer Slide Supports (QL and QR) respectively. Fasten the Drawer
Housing Top Panel (D) to the Drawer Slide Supports (QL, QM and QR) by engaging 6 Cam Locks (2).
As shown.

42. Align the Large Magnetic Catch (13) to the pilot holes under the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel (E)

with the magnetic plate facing the fro nt of the unit. And then attach the Magnetic Ca tch (12) in place
using two #6 x 5/8” Screws (13).

43. Securely screw two Lo ng Cam Bolts (3 ) into the d esignate small ho les on the Draw er Housing Botto m

Panel (E), as shown.

44. Locate the Bottom Panel (F) and the Bottom Front Stretcher (G) and securely screw the Cam Bolts (3)

into the designated small holes, as shown in the illustration.

45. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the inner end holes of the Bottom P anel (G). As shown.

46. Align the drilled holes on the Front Stretcher (G) with the inserted Wood Dowels (4) on the Bottom

Panel (F) and then press them together. Make sure the top surfaces are flush with each other. Fasten the
Front Stretcher (G) to the Bottom Panel (F) by engaging three Large Cam Locks (2).

47. Align and attach the Bottom Back Stretcher (H) to the Bottom Panel (F) by using two M8 x 30 mm

Wood Dowels (4) and thre e Large Cam Locks (2). As shown below. Make sure that the Cam Locks face
outward.

48. Turn the assembled base upright.

49. Securely screw four Long Cam Bolts (3) into the designate small holes on the Bottom Panel (F), as shown.

50. Combine the Left and Right Back Panels (IL and IR) together with three M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowels

(5). Make sure that the cutout on the Back Panels line up.

51. Align and attach the Back Panels (IL and IR) to the Bottom Panel (F) using four M6 x 30 mm Wood

Dowels (5) and four Small Cam Locks (1). As show n. Ma ke sure that the Cam Locks face inward.

52. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the bottom inner holes of the Lower Partition Panel (J)

and fasten it to the Bottom Panel (F) using two 1-1/2” Wood Screws (12), as shown. Make sure that the
cutout of the Lower Partition Panel (J) against the Right Back Panel (LR).

53. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4)

into the top inner holes of the Lower
Partition Panel (J). Align and attach the
assembled

54. Insert two M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (5) into the inner end holes of the Right Back Panel (IR). Insert

seven M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the upper end hole of the Bottom Back Stretcher (H) and the
inner end holes of the Fixed Shelf (D), the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel (E) and the Bottom Panel (F).

DO NOT put dowels into the Cam Bolt holes.

55. Ask for assistance from your friend to lift the Back Panels (IL and IR) a little. So that you can easy

align the drilled holes on the Right Side Panel (C) with the inserted Wood Dowels (4 and 5)
simultaneo usly and then press th em together. Faste n the Right Side Panel (C) to the Right Back Panel
(IR) with 3 Small Cam Locks (1) and fasten the Right Side Panel to the Drawer Housing Bottom Panel
(E) and the Bottom Panel (F) with 4 Large Cam Locks (2). As shown.

56. Repeat the same procedure to attach the Left Side Panel (B ) at the other end.

57. Fasten the Bottom Front Molding (O) to the

Side Posts (BP and CP) and the Front Bottom
Stretcher (G) with five 1-1/8” Bolts (7) and five
Flat Washers (8). As shown. Tighten the bolts
with the enclosed Allen Wrench.

58. Stand the assembled fram e upright.

59. Secure the Bottom Back Stretcher (H) to the Side

Panels (B and C) by engaging 2 Cam Locks (2).

60. For nice looking, plug five Cam Lock Covers (17)

onto the Cams Locks (2) on the Bottom Back
Stretcher (H).

61. Locate the Top Panel (A) and securely screw the Long Cam Bolts (3) into the design at ed smal l holes, as

shown in the illustration.

62. Align the Small Magnetic Catches (15) to the pilot holes on the Top Panel (A) with the magnetic plate

facing the front of the unit. And then attach the Magnetic Catches (15) in place using two #6 x 5/8”
Screws (13) in each.

63. Insert four M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowel (4) into the top

inner holes of the Side Panels (B and C) and insert
four M6 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (5) into the top inner
holes of the Back Panels (IL and IR). As shown. DO

NOT insert the Wood Dowels into the Cam Bolt holes.

64. Position the Top Panel (A) onto the inserted Wood

Dowels (4 and 5). Attach the Top Panel (A) to the
Back Panels (IL and IR) with 4 Small Cam Locks (1).
Fasten the Top Panel (A) to the Side Panels (B and C)
by engaging four Large Cam Locks (2).

65. Attach the Knob (21) to t he o u tside of the Right Door (NR) usin g the p rovided Knob Bolt (22).

66. Align and attach the Right Door (NR) to the Door Hinges (20) on the Right Side Post (CP) using two

#6.5 x 1/2” Screws (10) per hinge. DO NOT tighten the screws in this step.

67. Repeat the same procedure to install the Left Door (NL) to the Left Side Post (BP). Open and close the

doors to make sure

they are aligned and shut correctly. If necessary, adjust the screws for a good fit.

68. Insert the assembled drawers into the frame. Extend the Ball Bearing Slide Tracks on the unit all the

way forward (including ball bearing cart). Then align the Slide Run ners on the assembled drawer with
the Slide Tracks and push the drawer carefully inside until it stops.

NOTE

: If the drawer does not go in smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step. If you need to
remove the drawer, please pull the drawer all the way out, then simultaneously push the plastic release
lever of the ball bearing slides up on o ne s i de and down on the other side, and then pull it completely out.

69. Pull both Lid Support Arms (SL and SR) all the way out and stick one Rubber Pad (23 ) on the top of

each Lid Support Arm front trim as a bumper, as shown below.

70. Position the leaf with spring metal bar of Drop-down Hinges (19) onto the cutouts of the Drop Lid (M)

and fasten them in place using three #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) per hinge leaf. As shown below. Make sure
that the screw head on hinges are flush with the inner surface of t he Dr op Lid (M).

71. Attach the Knob (21) to the o u ts i de of the Drop Lid (M) using the provided Knob Bolt (22). As shown.

72. Align and attach the other leaf of Drop-down Hinges (19) to the Drawer Housing Top Panel (D) using

three #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) per hinge leaf. Make sure that the Drop Lid (M) can flip up properly. Tightly
fasten all the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

73. Pull both Drop Lid Support (X) all the way forward and secure the end metal bracket onto the Drop Lid

(M) with two #6 x 1/2” Screws (9) in each, using the pilot holes as a guide.

74. Ask for assistance to carefully position the

assembled pigeon cube onto the Drawer Housing
Top Panel (D) and then pull it all the way back
with the Pigeon Cube Back Panel (U6) against the
Back Panels (IL and IR). Make sure you will not
scratch the top surface of the Drawer Housing Top
Panel (D).

75. Insert four Shelf Pins (25) into the desired holes in the sides of right bottom compartment. Make sure

you place the four Shel f Pins in the same level so the shelf is not tilt ed. Tilt and rest the Adjustable
Shelf (L) onto the Shelf Pins (25) mak ing sure th e end notch es of th e Adju stable Shelf fi t onto the Sh elf
Pins properly.

76. Plug the Cam Lock Covers (17 and 18) onto the visible Cams Locks to conceal the Cam Locks.

77. Ask for assistance t o p o sitio n the assembled unit at the desired location against a wall.

78. Now, follow the instructions printed on the plastic bag containing the Tipping Restraint Hardware to attach

the tip-over restraints to the unit and the wall. As shown in the illustration.

NOTE: Young children can be seriously injured by tipping furniture. You must install the
Tipping Restraint Hardware with the unit to prev ent the unit from tipping, causing any accidents
or damage. The tipping restraints are intended only as a deterrent, they are not a substitute for
proper adult supervision. The tipping restraints are not earthquake restraints. If you wish to add
the extra security of earthquake restraints, they must be purchased and installed separately.

Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, Power Drill, 3/8” Drill Bit and Rubber Mallet.

z Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.
z Use of furniture polish is not necessary. Should you choose to use polish, test first in an inconspicuous area.
z Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’ s finis h.
z Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish.
z Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots.
z Liquid spills should be remove d immediately. Using a soft clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbin g.
z Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create

spotting within the furniture finish.

z Stains or marks from crayons or ink markers will be difficult to remove.
z In the event that your furni t ure is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recomm end t hat you call a

professional to repair your furniture.

z Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.

Further advice about wood furniture care

It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity
changes can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from
direct sunlight as sun may damage the finish.
