ASSEMBLY TIPS

Read all instructions BEFORE assembly.

Remove all hardware from box and sort by size.

Check to see that all hardware and parts are present BEFORE assembling.

Ask a friend to assist you with the assembly of this furniture.

To avoid damage, assemble the unit on a sturdy, level and non-abrasive surface.

Please wait until all steps are completed before tightening bolts.

Make sure all bolts are tightly fastened before the unit is used.

CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION

“HOW THE KD ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS”

1. Screw Cam Bolt into the threaded insert on panel.

2. Insert Cam Lock into pre-drilled hole on panel.

3. Make sure the long slot on Cam Lock is pointed towards Cam Bolt.

4. Connect both panels together; making sure Cam Bolt goes into pre-drilled hole on the end of

panel with Cam Lock.

5. Once Cam Bolt is connected inside Cam Lock, take Phillips screwdriver and tighten Cam Lock

clockwise.

You are now ready to assemble our KD unit.

Assembly Instructions

1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all hardware and parts required.

2. Pick up Left Front & Back Leg (B & C) and thread the Cam Bolts (7) all the way into the bottom holes
with threaded inserts. Attach three Cam Bolts (7) on the back leg. See detail #1.

3. Insert two Cam Locks (6) into the end holes on Left Stretcher (F). Be sure that the long slot on the Cam
Lock is facing out and that the long groove points toward the entry of the Cam Bolt along the Stretcher.
See detail #1.

4. Attach the Left Stretcher (F) to the Left Front & Back Leg (B & C) by tightly fasten the Cam Lock
clockwise with Screwdriver when Cam Bolt is connected inside Cam Lock. Make sure the threaded
inserts on Left Stretcher will point inside of unit and the countersunk holes of Stretcher are bottom. See
detail #1. Note: Refer to page #3 on how to attach the Cam Lock.

5. Secure the Left Stretcher (F) into place by screwing two 1 3/4” Wood Screws (6) into the holes
underneath the stretcher to the leg, one screw per side. See detail #1.

6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 with the Right Front & Back Leg (D & E) and Right Stretcher (G) to create the
other leg assembly.

7. Attach the Fix Shelf (I) to Back Stretcher (H) using four 1 1/4” Bolts with Small Flat Washers (2 & 5)
as shown in detail #2.

8. Now lay the Desktop (A) as shown in detail # 3.

9. Screw assembled right leg assembly to the Desktop (A) by inserting the 2 1/2" Bolts (1) with Lock
Washers and Large Flat Washers (3 & 4) through corner cleat on the Desktop into the threaded inserts
on the Legs (D & E). See detail # 3. Do not fully tighten the bolts.

10. Now pick up Back Stretcher assembly and insert two Cam Locks (6) into the end holes on Back
Stretcher (H). Be sure that the long slot on the Cam Lock is facing out and that the long groove points
toward the entry of the Cam Bolt along the Stretcher as shown in detail # 4. Attach the Back Stretcher to
back leg. Once Cam Bolt is connected inside Cam Lock, take Phillips Screwdriver and tighten Cam
Locks clockwise.

11. Screw the Fix Shelf (I) to the Right Stretcher (G) using two 1 1/4" Bolts (2) with Small Flat Washers (5)
through the cleat holes into place. See detail # 4.

12. Insert two Cam Locks (6) into the other end holes on Back Stretcher (H). Be sure that the long slot on
the Cam Lock is facing out and that the long groove points toward the entry of the Cam Bolt along the
Stretcher as shown in detail # 5.

13. Attach Left Leg Assembly to the unit in to place. Once the installed Cam Bolts (7) on back leg are
connected inside Cam Locks on Back Stretcher, fully tighten Cam Locks clockwise with Phillips
Screwdriver. See detail #5.

14. Repeat steps #9 & #11 to attach the Left Leg assembly into place.

15. Now go back and tightly fasten all bolts.

16. Stand the desk up by picking up the unit. Tilting the desk up may cause damage to the Back Legs.

17. Remove the Cable Ties and unwrape the power cord of Surge Protector from the Back Apron. Route the
power cord along the Back Apron and Back Leg, secure in place with provided Wire Clips (9) as shown
in detail # 6.

TIPPING RESTRAINT HARDWARE

Note: We have included two Tipping Restraint Hardware bags for this Unit. You must
install this hardware to prevent accidents or injuries from falling unit.

When properly installed, this restraint can provide protection against the unexpected tipping of
the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. We strongly recommend mounting this
hardware to a wall stud and your Unit.

Please carefully read the instructions printed on the bag.

Note: You must install the Tipping Restraint Hardware with the unit in use to prevent any
accidents or damage to the unit.

Tools Required: Phillips Screwdriver, Mallet, Power Drill, 3/8” Drill Bit

A Touch up pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur
during assembly or shipping.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FURNITURE POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT: (FC-727)

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons:

1. Use only insulated staples or plastic ties to secure cords.

2. Route and secure cords so they will not be pinched or damaged when the cabinet is pushed to the wall.

RECESS MOUNTING: (FC-727)

1. Route a 18.4cm (7-1/4 inch) X 5.6cm (2-3/16 inch) hole in a desired place for the FC-727.

2. Feed power cord through the hole before installing the unit in a cut out.

3. Use two #6 X ½ inch (1.27cm) screws to fasten the unit through the face plate using screw holes.

4. Connect the power cord to the nearest grounded wall outlet.

5. Connect a PHONE cable (RJ11) from the wall jack to the back of the FC-727.

6. Connect a DATA cable (RJ45) from the wall jack to the back of the FC-727.

7. Connect a USB cable from a computer to the back of the FC-727.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use the unit for indoor use only.

2. Do not use an extension cord to connect this unit to a wall outlet.

3. Maximum load of connected equipment can not exceed a total of 12amps.

4. Do not open or disassemble this unit for any reason.

Furnlite warrants that each new electronic component shall, at the time of sale to the original retail
purchaser, be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials subject to the following conditions.
This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any unit which the manufacturer determines to be defective,
provided such unit is received at the manufacturer’s factory, with proof of purchase seal, postage prepaid, within
one year after the original date of retail sale. This warranty is void as to any electronic component which the
manufacturer determines to have been improperly installed, over-loaded, abused or altered in any manner.
Defective units will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer’s discretion, and returned to the original purchaser
by the manufacturer. This warranty limitation of “repairing or replacing” shall be purchaser’s exclusive remedy
consequential, special or contingent damages even if Furnlite fails in its attempt to remedy the defects.
