NOTE: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to have ground wires. These
fixtures meet all UL specifications.
1. Turn off power at circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
2. Spread fixture arms (E) so they are at equal distance from each other, if applicable.
3. Thread mounting screws (A) into mounting bar (B) (may be preinstalled) (see fig. 1).
4. Secure mounting bar (B) to outlet box (C) with outlet box screws (D) (not included).
5. Thread hex nut 1 (F1) onto nipple (G), then thread nipple (G) into coupling (H) and secure
with hex nut 1 (F1).
6. Identify color coding of fixture wires (see fig. 2).
7. To connect wires, take black fixture wire (group A from fig. 2) and place evenly against
black outlet box wire. Do not twist wires.
8. Fit wire connector (I from fig. 1) overwires and twist until there is a firm connection. If wire
connector (I) easily comes off, reattach and check again for a firm connection.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 with the white (group B from fig. 2) fixture wires and outlet box wires.
10. Partially thread green grounding screw (J) into side hole (K) on mounting bar (B) (see fig. 1).
11. Wrap ground wire from fixture around green grounding screw (J) leaving enough excess
wire to then connect ground wire and outlet box wire with wire connector (I), if applicable.
12. Tighten green grounding screw (J).
13. Tuck wires inside outlet box (C).

2. Install lamp(s). Do not exceed recommended wattage.
3. Raise nipple cover (U) if applicable, cover (N), washer 1 (O1), rubber washer (P), glass shade
(Q), and washer 2 (O2) up to fixture ring (R), with nipple (G) protruding through opening in
glass shade (Q), and secure with hex nut 2 (F2).
4. Place decorative cap (S) over glass shade (Q) and secure with finial (T).
5. Turn power back on at circuit box.
