OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the wafe maker on a hard, at, heat-resistant surface, away from any edges. Plug

other material that is not heat-resistant.

towel and apply a light coating of cooking oil to the plates. Note: Do not use a baking or
nonstick sprays. Avoid using anything made of nylon or synthetic bers that may melt
when heated. Use less oil for your second use, and no oil should be needed for subsequent

the following uses.
5. Using Dough: Place a ball of dough (approx. 2-3’’ in size) in the center of each of the
sections of the bottom wafe plate. Close the wafe maker and, if necessary, press the two
handles together so the plates touch. The cover may lift slightly due to steam pressure in
the dough. This is normal.
Using Batter: Use a ladle to pour a sufcient amount of batter to cover the entire baking
surface of the bottom plate. Close the wafe maker and turn it over by grasping both
handles rmly and pivoting on its base. This will spread the batter to the other plate.
6. When nished, the color of the wafe should be brown. Light brown means the wafes are
chewy, dark brown are crisp and crusty.
7. To remove wafes after baking, insert our 2-pronged wafe fork (or, if unavailable, a nonmetallic utensil) horizontally into the wafe. Remove the wafe from the plate and serve.
8. When nished making wafes, unplug the wafe maker and allow it to cool completely, in
the open position, before cleaning or putting away.
Note: When using the wafe maker for the rst time, a slight odor or smoking may occur. This
