given to the OWNER or MANAGER of the restaurant, or to the person responsible for TRAINING OPERATORS of this ROTISSERIE. Additional
manuals are available from your Wells Dealer.

LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
All commercial cooking equipment manufactured by WELLS MFG. CO. is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original installation or 18 months from the date of shipment from our factory, which­ever comes first, and is for the benefit of the original purchaser only. THIS WARRANTY IS THE COMPLETE AND ONLY WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED IN LAW OR IN FACT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FIT­NESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND/ OR FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUEN­TIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH WELLS MFG. CO. PRODUCTS. This warranty is void if it is determined that, upon inspection by an authorized service agency, the equipment has been modified, misused, misapplied, improperly installed, or dam­aged in transit or by fire, flood or act of God. It also does not apply if the serial nameplate has been re­moved, or if service is performed by unauthorized personnel.
The prices charged by Wells Mfg. Co. for its prod­ucts are based upon the limitations in this warranty. Seller's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair of defects without charge by a Wells Mfg. Co. factory authorized service agency or one of its sub-service agencies. This service will be provided on customer's premises for non-portable models. Portable models (a device with a cord and plug) must be taken or shipped to the closest authorized service agency, transportation charges prepaid, for service. In addition to restrictions contained in this warranty, specific limitations are shown in the Service Policy and Procedure Guide. Wells Mfg. Co. authorized service agencies are located in principal cities. This warranty is valid in the United States and Canada and void elsewhere. SERVICE POLICY AND PROCEDURE GUIDE
ADDITIONAL WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
1. Resetting of safety thermostats, circuit breakers, overload protectors, and/or fuse replacements are not covered by this warranty unless warranted conditions are the cause.
2. All problems due to operation at voltages or phase other than specified on equipment nameplates are not covered by this warranty.
Conversion to correct voltage and/or phase must be the customers responsibility.
3. All problems due to electrical connections not made In accordance with electrical code requirements and wiring diagrams supplied with the equipment are not covered by this warranty.
4. Calibration of heat controls after the first sixty (60) days on original equipment; replacement of items subject to normal wear, to include such items as knobs, light bulbs; and, normal maintenance functions including adjustments of thermostats, adjustment of micro switches and replacement of fuses and indicating lights are not covered by warranty.
5. All welding of components in the field is not covered by warranty.
6. Deterioration of aluminum components due to the insertion of metal implements or use of abrasive cleaners is not covered by warranty.
7. Full use, care, and maintenance instructions are supplied with each machine. Noted maintenance and preventative maintenance items, such as servicing and cleaning schedules, are customer responsibility. Those miscellaneous adjustments noted are customer responsibility. Proper attention to preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance procedures will prolong the life of the machine.
8. Travel mileage is limited to sixty (60) miles from an Authorized Service Agency or one of its sub-service agendas.
9. All labor shall be performed during regular working hours. Overtime premium will be charged to the buyer.
10. All genuine Wells replacement parts are warranted for ninety (90) days from date of purchase on non-warranty equipment. This parts
warranty is limited only to replacement of the defective part(s). Any use of non-genuine Wells parts completely voids any warranty.
11. Installation, labor, and job check-outs are not considered warranty and are thus not covered by this warranty.
12. Charges incurred by delays, waiting time or operating restrictions that hinder the service technician's ability to perform service are not covered by warranty. This includes institutional and correctional facilities.
SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIM PROCEDURE
NOTE: For your protection, please note that equipment in this shipment was carefully inspected and packaged by skilled personnel before
leaving the factory. Upon acceptance of this shipment, the transportation company assumes full responsibility for its safe delivery. IF SHIPMENT ARRIVES DAMAGED:
1. VISIBLE LOSS OR DAMAGE: Be certain that any visible loss or damage is noted on the freight bill or express receipt, and that the note of loss or damage is signed by the delivery person.
2. FILE CLAIM FOR DAMAGE IMMEDIATELY: Regardless of the extent of the damage.
3. CONCEALED LOSS OR DAMAGE: if damage is unnoticed until the merchandise is unpacked, notify the transportation company
or carrier immediately, and file "CONCEALED DAMAGE" claim with them. This should be done within fifteen(15) days from the

SAFETY PROCEDURES
Knowledge of proper procedures is essential to the safe operation of cooking equipment. In accordance with generally accepted product safety labeling guidelines for potential hazards, the following signal words and symbols are used throughout this manual.

ROTISSERIE PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
1. This rotisserie is intended for use to cook food products for human consumption. No other use is recommended or authorized by the manufacturer or its agents.
2. This rotisserie is intended for use in commercial establishments, where all operators are familiar
with the appliance use, limitations and associated hazards.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS MUST BE READ AND UNDERSTOOD BY ALL OPERATORS AND USERS.
3. This piece of equipment is made in the USA and has American sizes on hardware.
4. Any trouble shooting guides, component views or parts lists included in this manual are for general reference only, and are intended for use by qualified technical personnel.
5. This manual should be considered a permanant part of this appliance. This manual and all supplied instructions, diagrams, schematics, parts break downs, notices and labels must remain with the appliance if it is sold or moved to another location.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
A. UNP ACKING AND INSPECTION
1. Carefully remove the ROTISSERIE from the carton. Remove all protective plastic film, packaging materials and accessories from the ROTISSERIE before connecting electrical power or otherwise performing any installation procedures.
NOTE: DO NOT discard the CARTON and other PACKAGING MATERIAL until you have inspected the fryer for hidden damage and tested it for PROPER OPERATION. Refer to SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIM PROCEDURE on the inside front cover of this manual.
2. Read all instructions in this manual carefully before starting installation of this rotisserie. READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL LABELS AND DIAGRAMS ATTACHED TO THE ROTISSERIE.
3. Carefully account for all components and accessories before discarding packing materials.
Store the accessories in a convenient place for later use:
B. SERVICE TECHNICIAN INSTALLATION NOTES
1. Installation and start up should be performed by an authorized installation company. Installer must complete the WARRANTY REGISTRATION form, and record installation particulars on the CUSTOMER SERVICE DATA form on page 11 of this manual.
2. Verify that this rotisserie installation is in compliance with the specifications listed in this manual. THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER.
3. Certain codes require specific clearances to combustible construction, as well as specific
ventilation and access requirements. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER to
check with the AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION, in order to ascertain the applicability
of these requirements to THIS SPECIFIC ROTISSERIE INSTALLATION.
C. EQUIPMENT SET-UP
1. Cooking and cleaning functions require unobstructed access. DO NOT obstruct the oven door.
Setup the rotisserie only on a firm, level surface.
a. Clearances must be at least 18 “ from the front and back (glass portions) of the
rotisserie, and 6” from the ends (metal portions). b. The area around the rotisserie must be kept clear of combustibles. c. Keep the power cord away from glass door and display window.
2. LEVELING: Verify that the rotisserie sits firmly ON ALL FOUR LEGS. With a spirit level, check that the rotisserie is level front-to-back and side-to-side. With the
adjustablelegs, adjust as necessary to level the rotisserie.
3. Cooking and cleaning functions require unobstructed access. DO NOT obstruct the oven
door or the servicing panel.

E. DOUBLE-STACKING UNITS
1. Remove all adjustable legs (if supplied) from the upper unit [A]. Remove the plugs from the holes in the top of the lower unit [B].
2. Screw two (2) 3/8-16 NC allen head cap screws (not supplied) into the upper unit, in the holes normally used for the legs [C]. Be sure the holes you use will match-up with the holes in the top of the lower unit.
3. The head of the screw drops into the hole in the top of the lower unit to lock the two units into place [D].
4. Check the assembled units to be sure they are level.

F. ELECTRICAL INSTALLA TION
1. Rotisserie electrical diagram is located on the inside of the servicing panel.
2. The rotisserie must be hard wired to the electrical service
POWER MUST BE DISCONNECTED DURINGINSTALLATION AND HOOK-UP:
a. One WRT-6 rotisserie operating at 120 VAC draws 16.9 Amps. b. Each WRT-6 rotisserie sould be wired to an individual 20 Amp / 120VAC circuit.
CAUTION - ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
THE FRAME OF THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE GROUNDED
TO A SUITABLE BUILDING GROUND.
Ungrounded electrical equipment can cause personal injury
and/or property damage.
3. The installation of this rotisserie must conform to local codes. In the absence of local
codes, the installation of this rotisserie must conform with the National Electrical Code.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: BURN HAZARD
SURFACES ARE HOT WHEN UNIT IS IN COOK MODE AND
WHEN UNIT IS IN HOLDING MODE.
Proper utensils and protective clothing MUST be used
when operating this appliance.
1. Removing spits from rotisserie: Lift the pin end of the spit from the bearing block and slide the spit toward the left wall until the hex drive on the spit clears the
socket drive. Remove the disk by turning counter-clockwise until the threads
disengage.(See figure A)
2. Turn the power switch ON. Set the timer for 20 minutes to pre-heat the rotisserie while the product is being prepared for cooking.

trouble free cooking. NOTE: Legs and wings must be tucked or tied. Slide the disk over the pin and rotate clockwise
to engage the threads.Tighten hand snug only.
This keeps the chickens from working their way
off of the end of the spit during cooking (See figure B).
4. While wearing appropriate protective gear over hands and arms, place the loaded spits in the rotisserie: Engage the drive socket with the hex drive, then work the smooth part of the pin into the slot in the bearing block.

5. Close the door and set the timer to the desired cooking time. IT IS THE USERS RESPONSIBILITY TO COOK PRODUCT TO PROPER DONENESS 1:45 to 2:00 hrs is recommended as a starting point for 2-3/4 pound chickens, when chickens
are above 50ºF and the rotisserie is preheated for at least 20 minutes prior to loading.
6. After the cook cycle is complete, the rotisserie automatically goes into the holding mode. The quartz holding lamp will provide enough heat to hold product safely.
7. When cooking is completed, dispose of the grease drippings promptly. Dispose of grease
properly in an approved grease collection / disposal container. Do not dump grease into sinks, floor drains or toilets.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. DISCONNECT ROTISSERIE FROM MAIN POWER AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER PRIOR
TO CLEANING. ALLOW THE UNIT TO COOL PRIOR TO CLEANING.
W ARNING: FIRE HAZARD
Rotisserie must be cleaned regularly.
FAILURE TO CLEAN THIS EQUIPMENT
WILL RESULT IN A FIRE.
A fire in this appliance can cause property damage,
injury and death.
W ARNING: HEALTH HAZARD
Rotisserie must be cleaned regularly.

WILL RESULT IN FOOD CONTAMINATION.
Contaminated food can cause illness and death.
2. Rotisserie should be cleaned daily to remove any grease or burnt-on deposits. Failure to clean the rotisserie on a regular basis can cause both a fire hazard and a health hazard.

WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND SAFETY GLASSES
WHEN USING OVEN CLEANER.
Carefully read and follow directions and warnings on the label.
3. Remove any grease or burnt-on deposits using mild detergents and plastic scrapers. For
deposits which cannot be easily removed, use a conventional oven cleaner.
Note: Oven cleaners often contain chlorides. Chlorides will damage the stainless steel surfaces of the rotisserie if allowed to set for prolonged periods of time. Oven cleaners must be wiped off promptly. Rinse the cleaned area with a wet cloth. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

4. Use care when cleaning near the quartz heating lamp and the quartz holding lamp.
DO NOT CLEAN THE QUARTZ LAMPS. BE CAREFUL TO NOT CONTACT THE QUARTZ LAMPS WITH CLEANING IMPLEMENTS OR SOLUTIONS.
5. Clean the outside of the rotisserie as needed. NEVER USE ABRASIVE SCRUB PADS on the outside of the rotisserie or the rotisserie glass.
6. Always read and follow all instructions and warnings on the container when using commer-
cial cleaners.

Mild detergent, Conventional Oven Cleaner
Clean Cloth / Sponge
Solution, 4 parts vinegar to 10 parts warm water
1. Remove and clean:
a. Inserts b. Drip tray c. Spits, skewers and baskets.
2. Clean interior of rotisserie.
a. Remove any grease or burnt-on deposits using mild detergents and plastic
scrapers.
b. For deposits which cannot be easily removed, use a conventional oven
cleaner.
c. Wipe oven cleaners off promptly. If an oven cleaner was used, rinse the
cleaned area with vinegar solution.
d. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
3. Clean exterior of rotisserie. NEVER USE ABRASIVE SCRUB PADS on the
outside of the rotisserie. Always read and follow all instructions and warnings on the container when using commercial cleaners. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
4. Clean door glass. NEVER USE ABRASIVE SCRUB PADS on the glass.
Always read and follow all instructions and warnings on the container when using commercial cleaners.
5. Reinstall drip tray, inserts, spits, skewers and baskets at the conclusion of
cleaning.
6. Restore power. Turn POWER SWITCH to ON. Close door.
a. Manually rotate rotisserie. Carefully observe and verify proper installation
of spits and baskets.
b. Correct any interference between spits and baskets. Procedure is complete
