Selecting the Operating Mode
• Manual operation: manual commands
such as , , are selected by pressing the relevant button.
• Automatic operation: manual com­mands plus automatic sun control.
• To change the operating mode, press the Select button (8) (for longer than 1 second.
• Changing from manual to automatic operation will cause the products to retract.
Transmission Check
The channel display doubles up as the transmission check. Should a radio signal be received, this will be signalised by flashing. Should the battery performance run down, the brightness of the display will dim and the frequency range will drop. If the control lamp stop flashing when a button is pressed, the battery will need to be replaced.
Automatic Wind Control
When there is a risk of high winds, the sun protection system will retract and remain shut down for approx. 15 minutes. Should the or button be pressed during the shutdown period, the product will move very slightly to signal that the system is still shut down. Please note: The automatic wind control cannot be deactivated.
Lux and Tempura
Jointed arm awnings are also available as extras with lighting (Lux) and heating systems (Tempura).
• To activate these options, press the or
button (for less than 1 second).
• Hold the or button down to dim
the lighting.
• Press the button to switch off either
the lighting or the heating.

Power Setting (for Lux and Tempura)
A power setting is an arbitrary brightness or heating setting. After programming, this can be activated by pressing the or
button twice. Power settings can be
reprogrammed at any time.
How to programme the power setting
1. Set the level to maximum or minimum.
2. Hold down the or button for as
long as it takes to reach the desired setting.
3. As soon as the desired setting is
reached, press the button as well.
4. The setting will stop and the power set­ting is programmed.
Cleaning
• Only ever clean the device using a dry cloth.
• Never use any detergents as these can damage the plastic.

Using a suitable screwdriver, open the back of the handheld remote control.
Remove the old battery and insert the new battery (coin cell 2430) making sure that the symbols match (“+” can be seen at the top). Dispose of the old battery in an envi­ronmentally-friendly manner.
Replace the back plate and screw it down onto the handheld remote control using a screwdriver.
