OPERATION
DANGER
All Hedge Trimmers can throw debris, metal or small objects as well as material being cut. Do not allow anyone to enter the operang DANGER ZONE with you. The danger zone is an area 15 metres in radius Insist that persons in the RISK ZONE beyond the danger zone wear eye protecon from thrown objects. If the unit must be used where there are unprotected people, operate at a low throle speed to reduce the risk of thrown objects.
DANGER ZONE WITHIN 15 METRES - RISK ZON
E GREATER THAN 15 METRES
GENERAL USE
WARNING Prior to using the machine, ensure all hardware (bolts, screws & nuts) are securely ghtened.
Operate the trigger with your right hand & hold the D-Handle with your le hand. The trigger increases and decreases the power of the engine to the aachment, increasing the
revoluon/reciprocaon of the aachment.
WORKING PLAN
Limit the amount of me the product is used connuously to a maximum of 40 minutes per session. Leave
the machine to rest between sessions for between 10-20 minutes.
Total amount of work performed per day with the machine, should be limited to 120 minutes maximum. Connuous use of the machine can cause “Repeve Stress Injury (RSI)”. If you feel discomfort, redness or
swelling of your hands andngers or any other body part, consult your doctor.
Check local regulaons for sound level and hours of operaon constraints. Never transport the machine, whilst the engine is running.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
LINE TRIMMER
Always keep a firm grip with both hands during operaon The machine should be held at a comfortable posion, with the trigger handle at hip height. Adjust the
harness to suit.
Maintain a firm foong in case the machine hits a solid object & kicks back Cut tall grass from the top down to prevent grass wrapping around the sha housing & strong head, which
may cause overheang and damage. If grass becomes entangled, stop the engine completely and remove the grass.
The line trimmer head
rotates in an ANTI-CLOCKWISE direcon. The knife, located on the le side of the guard,
ensures your nylon line is operang at the correct length for opmum t rimming.
NOTE: Nylon line which is too long or the incorrect diameter (Recommended 2.5mm), will cause excess wear to the engine and clutch components, not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
It is recommended that the head is lted, so the nylon line cung circle is moving away from the user and guard/shield. This will enable debris to be
thrown away from the user.
TRIMMING
This is feeding the trimmer carefully into the material you wish to cut. Tilt the head slowly to direct debris away from you. If cung up to a barrier such as fence, wall or tree, approach from an angle where any debris ricocheng o the barrier, will y away from you. Move the line head slowly unl the grass is cut right up the barrier, but do not jam (over-feed) the line into the barrier If trimming up to a wire mesh or chain linked fence, be careful to feed only up t
o the fence. If you go too far, the line will snap o around the fence. Trimming can be done to cut through weed stems one at a me. Place the trimmer line head near the boom of the weed, never high up, which could cause the weed to chaer and catch the line. Rather than cut the weed right through, just use the very end of the line to wear through the stem slowly.
SCALPING AND EDGING
Both of these are done with the line head lted at a steep angle. Scalping is removing top gr
owth leaving the earth bare. Edging is trimming the grass back where it has spread over a path or driveway. During edging and scalping, hold the unit at a steep angle and i n a posion where the debris and any dislodged dirt and stones will not come back towards you, even if it ricochets o the hard surface.
WARNING
DO NOT use a metal blade for scalping or edging
WARNING
DO NOT trim any area where there maybe strands of fencing wire. Do not cut where you cannot see what the cung tool is cung.
BRUSHCUTTER
Always keep a firm grip with both hands during operaon The machine should be held at a comfortable posion, with the trigger handle at hip height. Adjust the
harness to suit.
Maintain a firm foong in case the machine hits a solid object & kicks back. Do not use the metal blade near fencing, posts, buildings or other immoveable objects – use the nylon
head.
Best results are obtained if you cut from right to le, in a broad sweeping moon. If a hard object is struck
, immediately stop the machine and inspect for damage.
WARNING
DO NOT use the put the metal blade into contact with Ulity Wires, Metal Stakes, Rubber, Masonry, Rocks, Fences, and Trees.
DANGER
DO NOT cut with a dull, cracked or damaged metal blade. Before cung, inspect for obstrucons. If an obstrucon cannot be removed, mark its locaon clearly so you can avoid it during operaon. Rocks & metal can dull or damage a blade. Wires can wrap around the blade head or be thrown in the air.
SCYTHING WEED
S
This is cung by swinging the blade in a level arc. It can quickly clear areas of eld grass and weeds. Scything should not be used to cut large, tough weeds or woody growths. Scything can be done in both direcons, or just in one way which results in the debris being thrown away from you. This is done by using the side of the blade that it is rotang away from you. Tilt the blade downwards slightly, on this same side .You will be hit by some debris if you scythe in both direcons
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRUNER
WARNING The Pruner is supplied with a low KICKBACK chain, however somemes kick back can occur, so always hold the unit rmly in two hands. The Kickback danger zone on your Pruner is the upper part of the nose of the guide bar. Never saw using this part of the guide bar, which poses a signicant risk for kickback.
Posion the hook located on the boom of the head against the branch, to reduce the risk of the pruner
jerking forward.
Ensure the chain is running in the correct direcon.
Thin branches can be removed with a single cut, but if the branch is long, it is preferable to cut it in several pieces, moving towards the main trunk of the tree.
Always check for any damage before each use and replace a damaged chain immediately, with an
approved replacement part.
Before every use, check the level of the chain oil in the reservoir. During use, check the tension of the chain. (See Maintenance Secon For Instruc
on)
Always fit the supplied blade guard when the Pruner Aachment is not in use. For larger branches, the 3-point method should be used to prevent breakage. Do not work at an angle, higher than 60 degree’s, there is a danger of being injured by branches falling
without warning. Also be careful not to trip over grounded branches.

HEDGECUTTER
To adjust the angle of the Hedgecuer, loosen the locking lever; rotate the Hedgecuer head to the
desired angle. Tighten the locking lever to the adjuster; ensuring blade is secure, before operang.
Always have arm foong and use two hands to hold the machine It is advisable to cut a hedge from the boom up, sweeping the cuer head in an arc as you move along
the hedge. The double edged cuer blades allow cung of your hedge in both direcons.
To cut the top of the hedge, adjust the cuer head to a horizontal posion. Hold the cuer head at an
angle of 0-10 degrees as you sweep the head in an arc across the top of your hedge, towards the outside to allow cungs to fall to the ground.
Pay special aenon to hedges which are posioned along wire fencing. If the cung blades make
contact with the fence, damage may occur.
Do not use the Hedgecuer Aachment for periods greater than 45 min
utes. Take a break for 10-15
minutes or aer using one tank of fuel.
If the blade comes into contact with a stone, wire or other foreign object, stop immediately and check for
any damage to the blades immediately.
Do not aempt to remove any twigs or branches jammed in the cuer blades, without rst turning the
engine o.
Always check for any damage before each use and replace a damaged blade immediately, with an
approved replacement part. A
Always fit the supplied blade guard w

e spark gap should be 0.6-0.7mm (.023".028")
HEDGECUTTER
BLADES The cung blades can be protected and kept lubricated by periodically applying Maintenance Lubricang Oil.
If a gap exists between the upper & lower blades, follow the below steps to adjust them, so that they are closer together and cung to their opmum performance.
Loosen locknut (A) as shown below, with a spanner. Tighten screw (B) fully, and then loosen by a half rotaon with a screwdriver. While holding the screw in p
osion with a screwdriver, ghten the locknut with a spanner.
Check to make sure, flat washer (C) is loose enough to be turned by your nger.
Tightening the screw too ghtly may make it impossible for the blades to move. Conversely, not ghtening the screw suciently may make the blades feel dull and cause leaves and branches to become caught in the blades.
GEAR CASE
The gears are lubricated by Mul-purpose Lithium based grease in the gear case. Input new grease EVERY 25 HOURS of use o
r more often, depending on the use condions.
When adding lubricant, use a grease gun to insert the grease into the three grease nipples located on the gear case.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRUNER
CHAIN TENSION
Periodically during use, check the tension of the chain. It is important to maintain proper chain tension. Incorrect chain tension can cause the guide bar to wear and the chain to come o. To check the chain tension:
Switch the engine o Wear work gloves The chain must fit snugly against the underside of the guide bar. You should be able to pull the chain away from the guide bar, 5-6mm or pull the chain along the guide bar by hand.
A new chain has to be tensioned more oen
than an older chain that has been used for some me.
CHAIN SHARPENING
A well sharpened chain will provide many cuts, with very lile eort. Do not work with a dull or damaged chain, due to it increasing the eort required from the user, provide poor results and a higher rate of wear. Please regularly:
Clean the chain Check for cracks in the link and damaged rivets Replace damaged or worn components of the chain and ensure new parts match the specificaon of the original
chain.
If your chain needs sharpening, a 5/32” chainle should be used.
We recommend the use of Handy Parts HP-106 or alternavely, contact your local Approved Dealer to undertake the sharpening. Incorrectly sharpened chains can increase the risk of Kickback, with resulng injuries.
A new chain should be broken in for about 2-3 minutes. Aer this period of me, check the chain tension.
CHAIN LUBRICATION
For eecve and reliable operaon of your Pruner Aachment, ensure you use specifically formulated and designed Chainsaw Oil. Never use a chain without lubricaon, if used dry the a
achment coul d be irretrievably damaged within a
short me. Toll the oil tank, thoroughly clean the oil filler cap and the area around it to ensure that no dirt fails inside the tank .
Posion the aachment so that the tank opening faces up. Fill with chain oil, b eing careful not to spill or overfill. Clean up any overspill.
To check that the chain is being lubricated suciently, it must always throw some oil o. Run the machine at medium
speed over cardboard or newspaper. The machine will d
eposit oil onto the cardboard or newspaper if operang
correctly.
Aer each use clean any oil or saw dust out of the area under the plasc cover with a brush or compressed air. Be
especially sure to clean out the oil duct.
Oil Duct
CHAIN TENSIONER
GUIDE BAR
Turn the Guide Bar over, each me you sharpen or replace the chain. This will help prevent one sided wear, especially
at the nose & underside of the bar.
Regularly clean the bar, especially the chain groove.
CHAIN SPROCKET
A every second chain is replaced, the drive sprocket should also be replaced. To change the drive sprocket, remove
the securing nut from the drivesh , followed by the drive sprocket. If dicult to remove, try using a penetra ng lubricant. Repos
on the replacement parts on the drivesh and secure with the securing nut.
CLEANING
Keep your machine clean. Thoroughly clean the machine at the end of each use, paying par ular a n on to cu ngs in and around the guard and cu
ng tool.
AIR FILTER
Accumulated dust in the air filter will reduce engine efficiency. Increase fuel consump on and allow abrasive par les
to pass into the engine. Remove the air lter as o n as necessary to maintain in a clean cond on.
Light surface dust can readily be removed by tapping thelter. Heavy deposits should be washed out in suitable
solvent.
Remove the filter cover by loosening air filter cover knob.
FUEL FILTER
The fuel tank is d with a lter. It is situated at the free end of fuel pipe and can be picked out through the fuel ller
neck, with a piece of hooked wire or similar.
Check the fuel filter periodically. Do not allow dust to enter into the fuel tank. A clogged lter will cause difficulty in
sta ng the engine or abnormali es in engine performance.
When thelter is dirty, replace the filter. When the inside of the fuel tank is dirty, it can be cleaned by rinsing the tank out with petrol.
STORAGE
For years of trouble free service, make sure the machine is clean and dry before storing. Before storing, clean the machine thoroughly as indicated above. Store indoors or in a safe, locked protected area during severe weather and winter months. DO NOT STORE in an enclosed area, where fuel vapors can reach an open hot flame. DO NOT STORE fuel in the machine. Ensure fuel is removed from the fuel tank and carburetor. If storing for an extended period, inspect, clean and repair the machine if necessary. Remove all fuel from the fuel tank.
Start the engine, this will remove all fuel from the carburetor and fuel lines. Remove the spark plug, pour a small quan ty of 2-stroke oil into the spark plug hole of the cylinder and re-seat spark plug. Store in a clean, dry, dust free area.
DO NOT STORE fuel fo
r longer than 30 days. Fuel can become stale and cause damage to the engine carburetor, which is
not covered by the machines manufacturer’s warranty.

5. General
(a) Most warrantable failures show up within the rst few weeks of use. These failures are usually straightforward and
warranty assessment is relatively easy. (b) Failures relating to cutter decks and belts need careful investigation, as the cause may not always be straightforward. Look for damage to blades and pulleys especially when the cutter belt or blade boss have snapped or cracked as this could be due to impact damage.
(c) Customers should always refer to the operator/instruction manual when any disputed problem arises, you will nd most
areas covered within the manual.
Protecting your machine
Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your Webb machine is essential to ensure it operates, safely, efciently and therefore reducing the
environmental impact.
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that their Webb machine is maintained at specic intervals. Any approved Webb
service dealer can undertake a service, which are specialised in our products and will be aware of your particular machine and any technical updates which will save valuable time & money. If you are using your machine in dry, dusty or high temperatures, you will need to service the machine more regularly.
Fuel
Due to ongoing efforts by fuel companies to reduce emissions, unleaded petrol will oxidize & deteriorate in storage overtime, leaving residue from detergent components. Fuel deterioration problems may occur when petrol is stored for over 30 days. If you are planning to store fuel for over 30 days, we recommend you add Handy Parts Sure-Start fuel stabilizer to fresh fuel after purchasing. Sure-Start cannot reconstitute stale fuel.
Storage
When storing your machine for an extended period, we do recommend that you follow the instructions of engine instruction manual. Always store the fuel in a clean, approved and sealed container. If the container is steel, ensure it is not corroded.
If the container is not lled to its recommended capacity, air can accelerate fuel deterioration.
Always store fuel away from direct sunlight, in a dark, cool environment.
