You can fully charge up to eight AA or AAA, four C or D, or two
9 V batteries. Multiple-battery design accommodates NiMH and
NiCd batteries. This is an economical power solution for users of
portable devices with removable batteries.
The universal 100-240 V AC and 12-16 V DC inputs
are ideal for traveling and charging anywhere.
RAPID CHARGER OPERATION:
(A) Power Input
For indoor usage,

flash green and red to indicate that power is connected.
(B) Battery Charging
Insert up to four pairs of AA or AAA
1
batteries or four individual C or D batteries into the corresponding bays as indicated by the labels and the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside each bay. Connect 9 V batteries to the terminals in the center bay.
You can pair one AA with one AAA battery to charge them as a pair in the same channel.

The LED charging indicators turn red
per channel when the batteries are charging and green when the batteries are fully charged.
Note: The LEDs flash red if you insert a disposable battery such as an alkaline. If you see the LEDs flashing red, remove the battery.
3
When charging is complete, unplug
the charger from the outlet, and then remove the batteries from the charger.
To charge a single AA battery, insert it into one of the C/D charger bays. However, to charge a AAA you must pair it with a AAA or AA battery

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Be sure to observe the following important precautions whenever using the charger and adapter.
 Never try to open the case of the charger
or attempt your own repairs. High-voltage internal components present the risk of electric shock when exposed.
 Keep the charger and adapter away from
water and other liquids. Never let them get wet. Moisture can cause fire and electric shock.
 Should you ever notice smoke or a strange
odor coming out of the charger, immediately unplug the power adapter from the outlet. Using the charger under these conditions can cause fire and electric shock.
 Unplug the power adapter from the outlet
and clean the area around the electrical contacts of the plug when necessary. Dust around the contacts can cause a fire.
Page 13
AC ADAPTER PRECAUTIONS
 Never use an electrical outlet whose voltage
is outside the rating marked on the AC adapter. Doing so can cause fire or electric shock. Use only the supplied power adapters for the chargers.
 Be careful not to cut or otherwise damage
the power adapter cord, and do not place heavy objects on it. A damaged adapter cord can cause fire or electric shock.
 Never try to modify the AC adapter power
cord, or subject it to severe bending, twisting or pulling. Doing so can cause the risk of fire and electric shock.
 Never touch the AC adapter with wet hands.
Doing so can cause electric shock.
 Do not overload extension cords or wall
outlets. Doing so can cause fire and electric shock.
 This product is for indoor use only. Do not
expose the charger to rain or snow.
 To reduce the risk of damage to the electrical
Page 14
plug and cord, disconnect by pulling the plug, not the cord.
 Make sure the cord is located properly so
that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or subjected to damage.
 To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug
the charger from the outlet when not in use and before attempting to clean it.
 Do not use solvents to clean the unit. They
may damage the surface and the plastic parts of the unit. Clean the unit gently with only a soft dry cloth.
 Keep this product away from children.
BATTERY HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
Incorrect handling or misuse of batteries can cause them to leak or burst and damage your charger. Be sure to note the following important precautions to avoid problems with batteries.
 Use only NiMH or NiCd dry cell batteries with
the charger. Do not charge any other kind of batteries, including alkaline batteries, since
Page 15
they may burst and cause personal injury and damage.
 Always make sure that the plus (+) and
minus (-) terminals of the batteries are facing correctly, corresponding to the markings on the charger itself. Improper loading of batteries creates the danger of personal injury or damaging nearby objects.
 Do not expose batteries to direct heat or
dispose of them by burning. Doing either can cause an explosion.
 Do not operate the charger in an
environment with temperatures higher than 104¾F (40¾C) due to the risk of electrolyte leakage, overheating, and battery damage.
 It is normal for batteries to become warm as
they charge or discharge.
 If electrolyte material touches your eyes,
immediately wash your eyes with running cold water, and seek medical attention.
 Please recycle dead batteries, and preserve
our environment.
