SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
 Charge the battery pack before
use. Read your camcorder or digital camera manual for charging instructions.
 When not in use, remove the
battery pack from its device and store in a cool, dry place.
 Do not short circuit the terminals.
This battery is protected with an internal self-resetting fuse, but sort circuits may still cause severe damage to the battery. Be careful where you set the battery down.
 Under no circumstance attempt to
open the battery case.
 Do not expose the battery to rain
or moisture.
4 | Safety Instructions
 Keep away from fire. Do not
incinerate. Battery may explode in the presence of fire.
 Do not drop battery or expose it to
strong shocks.
 Do not use at temperatures below
15°F (-10°C) or above 105°F (40°C). Use of the battery at very high temperatures will activate a safety circuit, disallowing use.
 Running time depends on
the power demanded. Stated manufacturer run times are developed in simple laboratory tests of non-stop recording. Reallife use of zoom, automatic focus, tape review, etc., all demand extra power and shorten run time.

TO MAXIMIZE BATTERY PERFORMANCE
 Make sure the battery is fully charged
before use.
 Clean the battery and terminals with a
clean, soft, dry cloth.
 The battery may be warm during use or
recharging. This is normal.
 When storing the battery for an extended
period, be sure that it is not completely charged, nor completely discharged. The ideal level is a 40% charge. This is approximate; the closer the battery is to this level, the better it will hold its charge during storage. The battery should be stored in a cool, dry place. The recommended temperature for storage is 59°F (15°C). You may store a battery in a refrigerator. Do not store batteries in a freezer.
 Remove the battery from your equipment
when not in use. Some electronic equipment will draw current even when the switch is off.
6 | Maximizing Performance
 When operation time has noticeably
shortened, the battery may need to be replaced.
