IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical products, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
DANGER:
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
• Do not handle charger with wet hands.
• Do not place charger in or drop charger into water or other liquid.
• Check the charger cord for damage before the irst use and during the life of the product.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, ire, or injury to persons:
• Do not charge this unit with any charging devices other than the one provided.
• If product is opened/disassembled for ANY reason, warranty is VOID.
• Do not use this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into any liquid. Contact Water Pik, Inc. or your local distributor which can be found at www.waterpik.com.
• Do not direct water under the tongue, into the ear, nose or other delicate areas. This product is capable of producing pressures that may cause serious damage in these areas.
• Use this product only as indicated in these instructions or as recommended by your dental professional.
• Magnetic ield: Pacemakers and similar implanted medical devices may be affected by magnet.

• Only use tips and accessories that are recommended by Water Pik, Inc.
• Do not drop or insert any foreign object into any opening on the product.
• Keep charging unit and cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use this product outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use iodine, saline (salt solution), or water insoluble concentrated essential oils in this product. Use of these can reduce product per formance and will shorten the life of the product. Use of these products may void warranty.
• Remove any oral jewelry prior to use of this product.
• Do not use if you have an open wound on your tongue or in your mouth.
• If your physician advised you to receive antibiotic premedication before dental procedures, you should consult your dentist before using this instrument or any other oral hygiene aid.
• Closely instruct and supervise children 6 years and above and individuals with special needs in the proper use of this product.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• There are no consumer ser viceable parts in this appliance and it does not require maintenance.
• Fill reservoir with warm water or other dental professional recommended solution only.

GETTING STARTED

Charging Unit Prior to First Use
Plug the po wer cord into the wall and pla ce the magnetic charg er on the front of the unit fo r approximately 4 hou rs (see ima ge). Ensure contact s are clean/dry before con necting the charg er. The LED li ght will display a singl e, rapid blink every 3 se conds when unit is full y charged an d the charger is connec ted. A full charge will l ast for approximatel y 1 week of typical use. W hen the batterie s are in need of charging (appro ximately 30% charge l e) the charge indicato r light will blink 8 time s quickly aer use to ind icate that you should recharge th e unit. A complete rech arge will take 3-4 hou rs. If you use your Water Flos ser once a day or less , it is recommended you charge it on ce a week. If you use it tw ice a day or more, charge t he unit more frequentl y.
Filling the Reservoir
Remove the m agnetic charger from t he unit prior to lling re servoir and produ ct use. Li ip top on res ervoir and ll the re servoir with lukewarm water.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert t ip into the center of the kno b at the top of the Water Flos ser handle. Press rm ly until the tip click s into place. To remove the tip from the han dle, press the tip ejec t button and pull ti p from the handle.
CAUTION: Do not press tip eject button while unit is running.

Adjusting the Pressure Setting
First pre ss power button. Uni t will start on “low.” Press power b utton a second tim e, this will turn unit to “h igh.” Pressing bu tton third time will t urn unit “o.” The single LED exhibits the following behavior:
· Solid - If m otor is running and bat tery is greater than h alf full.
· Single, rapi d blink every 3 secon ds when unit is fully cha rged and the charger is co nnected.
Recommended Technique
Lean low over s ink and place tip in mou th. Aim the tip toward gum line, and turn the unit O N (I). For best re sults, start wi th the back teeth and wo rk toward the front teeth. G lide tip along gumli ne and pause briey b etween teeth.
Continu e until you have cleane d the inside and out side of both the upper a nd lower teeth. Direct t he jet stream at a 90- degree angle to your gu mline. Slightly close lips to avoid splashing but allow water to ow fr eely from
mouth into t he sink. Keep unit upri ght during use for best r esults.
When Finished
Turn the unit o. Empty any l iquid le in the reser voir. If desired , the reservoir may b e removed from the powe r handle by simply pull ing down on the reser voir to remove.
