3-DRAWER UTILITY CART

LOCATING MODEL # INFORMATION Model number and other information required for service parts is on a label included separately in the packing at the top of the carton or located on the back of the unit. If included separately, afx label to the back of the unit for future reference.
CAPACITIES
• The maximum weight for each drawer should be no more than 25 lbs.
• The maximum product weight, including contents, should be no more than 400 lbs.
MAINTENANCE
• For casters, use high quality bearing grease (yearly).
• Lubricate the slides with grease or equivalent (twice yearly.)
Ball bearing slides
• Periodically the drawer fronts, drawer trim, and other surfaces should be cleaned with a mild detergent and water.
• Auto wax will preserve the unit’s luster nish. Apply the wax as to a car. The wax will also help protect the unit against scratches.
• Grease and oil can be removed with most standard cleaning uids. For safety, use a nonammable cleaning uid.
• If drawer liners are supplied, it is recommended they are used to protect the nish inside the drawers and to make the drawers easier to clean. The drawer liners may be cleaned with soap and water.
Friction slides

DANGER
DO NOT stand on this product. You may fall or cause product to tip.
DO NOT open more than one drawer at a time. The product may become unstable and tip.
DO NOT step in the drawers. You may fall or cause product to tip.
DO NOT mount this product on a truck bed or any other moving object.
DO NOT move the product prior to closing and locking all the drawers. The drawers could come open and make the product unstable and tip.
WARNING
• WEAR SAFETY GLASSES when removing or repositioning the slides.
DO NOT pull this product when moving it. Push the product to
prevent personal injury.
• USE THE BRAKES when not moving this product. This will pre­vent the product from rolling.
DO NOT alter this product in any manner. For example, do not weld external lockbars or attach electrical equipment.
• Keep the product on level surfaces. The product may become unstable and tip if stored or moved on an uneven surface.
• BE CAREFUL when closing the cover. Remove hands before the cover closes completely.
• Lubricate lock with graphite (yearly).

ASSEMBLY
LEFT LEG ASSEMBLY Items Needed:
Leg (Qty: 2) Left Rear Bumper (Qty: 1) Left Front Bumper (Qty: 1) Bottom Tray (Qty: 1) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 8) M8 Washer (Qty: 8) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 8)
Process: NOTE: Remove all components from drawers before
assembling this unit. Make sure the arrows on the legs are pointing upwards. Failure to follow this will cause the legs to be misaligned.
• Assemble Bottom Tray, Left Rear Bumper, Left Front Bumper, and (2) Leg, as shown, using (4) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt, (4) M8 Washer, and (4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut in each Leg.
Finger tighten.
RIGHT LEG ASSEMBLY Items Needed:
Right Front Bumper (Qty: 1) Right Rear Bumper (Qty: 1) Leg (Qty: 2) Bottom Tray Assembly (from Step 1) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 8) M8 Washer (Qty: 8) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 8)
Process:
• Attach Right Front Bumper, Right Rear Bumper, and remaining Leg to opposite end of Bottom Tray in the same manner from Step 1.
Finger tighten.

SUPPORT RAIL INSTALLATION Items Needed:
Support Rail (Qty: 2) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 4) M8 Washer (Qty: 4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 4)
Process:
• Attach (2) Support Rail, as shown, using (4) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt, (4) M8 Washer, and (4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut in each Support Rail.
Finger tighten.

SIDE SUPPORT INSTALLATION
Items Needed:
Side Support Rail (Qty: 2) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 4) M8 Washer (Qty: 4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 4)
Process:
• Attach (2) Side Support Rail, as shown, using (2) M8-
1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt, (2) M8 Washer, and (2) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut in each Side Support Rail.
Finger tighten.

• Attach assembly from steps 1 through 4, using (12) M8-
1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt, (12) M8 Washer, and (12) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut.
• The notches should be on the side with the label. Leave holes in notches open for later assembly.
Finger tighten.

TOP AND DRAWER UNIT ASSEMBLY
Items Needed:

Process:
• Place Locking Top and Drawer Unit on its back on packaging material as shown.

HANDLE INSTALLATION Items Needed:
Handle (Qty: 1) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 2) M8 Washer (Qty: 4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 4) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (Qty: 2) (In Separate Bag)
Process:
• Attach Handle to bottom set of holes using (2) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt, (2) M8 Washer, and (2) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut.
• Install (2) M8-1.25 x 16mm Carriage Bolt (In a Separate Bag) in top set of holes using (2) M8 Washer and (2) /16­18 Hex Lock Nut.
Finger tighten.

GAS SPRING INSTALLATION Items Needed:
Gas Spring (Qty: 2) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 4) 12mm Wrench 13mm Wrench
Process: NOTE: Gas Spring must be installed with the cartridge
attached to lid (as shown).
• Insert threaded rod through hole in lid and secure with locking nut.
• Insert bottom of Gas Spring in hole in divider rail and secure with locking nut.
• Repeat for opposite side.
• Wrench tighten all fasteners on unit.
LOGO LABEL PLACEMENT
Process:
• Peel backing from logo label and position the label in the upper right corner of the cart, using the dimensions shown as a guide.

OPERATION
REMOVING DRAWERS
• Empty the drawer.
• Fully extend the drawer

CASTER INSTALLATION
Items Needed:
Rigid Casters (Qty: 2) Swivel Casters (Qty: 2) M8-1.25 x 16mm Hex Head Screw (Qty: 16) M8 Washer (Qty: 16) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut (Qty: 16) 13mm Wrench 14mm Wrench
Process: NOTE: Mount both Swivel Casters on the same side of the
unit as the handle.
• Attach Rigid Casters and Swivel Casters using (4) M8-
1.25 x 16mm Hex Head Screw, (4) M8 Washer, and (4) M8-1.25 Hex Lock Nut in each caster.
• Wrench tighten.
• Discard screws in caster package (if supplied).

Lever Style - Lift or lower (depending on the slide) the release lever on both sides, (this allows the slides to ride over the stops.) Pull out to remove.
Tab Style - Depress the release tabs on both sides, (this allows the slides to ride over the stops.) Pull out to remove.

OPERATION
REINSTALL DRAWERS Ball bearing slide - Pull slides and slide carrier out to fully
extended position (see illustration.) Hold the slide on the cabinet while aligning it with the slide on drawer. Slightly insert one side and repeat for the other side. Slowly push drawer to its fully closed position to engage slide. Open drawer and reclose to ensure proper operation.

MODIFYING DRAWER LOCK To open, lift up on the drawer front while pulling
towards you.
Striker
To close, shut the drawer rmly until the latch engages. Pull back lightly to see if the drawer is completely closed. If the drawer does not stay closed, the striker may be
bent, or the striker rubs against the drawer slides.
To x the problem, lightly bend the striker until the drawer
will engage in the slide.

Cojinetes de bolas
• Limpie con detergente suave y agua los frontales y los bordes laterales de los cajones y las demás supercies.

CAPACIDAD

MANTENIMIENTO

NO mueva la unidad antes de cerrar y asegurar todas las gavetas. Las
gavetas podrían abrirse y hacer que la unidad se vuelva inestable y se vuelque.
ADVERTENCIA
USE GAFAS DE SEGURIDAD al quitar o volver a poner las correderas.
NO hale la unidad, empújela cuando la mueva.
UTILICE LOS FRENOS cuando el producto no esté en movimiento. Esto
impedirá que se deslice.
NO altere la unidad en modo alguno. Por ejemplo, no suelde las barras de sujeción externas ni le incorpore equipos eléctricos.
• Mantenga la unidad en supercies niveladas. La unidad puede tornarse inestable y volcarse si se almacena o se moviliza en una supercie no nivelada.
TENGA cuidado cuando cierre la tapa. Quite las manos antes de que la tapa cierre completamente.
