STEERING BOX BRACE

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WAR 894, 896 and 898

Your new steering brace bolts between steering box neck, next to the

Pitman Arm and the opposite side frame rail.

1. Bolt the cross bar steering brace and clamp to the steering box

loosely so you can mark the frame for drilling the four (4) holes.

2. The self tapping 3/8” screws require a drill of at least 9/32”.
Drill all four holes after you are sure of proper alignment. On the #894 the
two (2) self tapping screws go into the box frame and the two (2) 5/16” bolts
and nuts are mounted to the pinch weld. Drill these two holes 11/32”

3. Install complete unit using the four (4) bolts to the frame and
install “C” brackets around bottom of steering bracket using bolts
provided with lock nut provided, make sure Pitman Arm has
clearance to turn without interference of bracket.

4. Tighten all bolts. Caution: do not over tighten self tapping screws.

5. After a test drive, verify that all bolts are tight.
