MIRROR MOUNT HOLE PLUG KIT
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WAR 1506
Kit BOM:
Qty 2 - Round Filler Plates Qty 4 - Rubber Well Nuts Qty 4 - Plastic End Caps Qty 4 - _” x 3_” NC Button Cap Screws
1. We first recommend splitting the mirror from the door mount. If you’re separating them to
relocate the mirror, it is much easier to split them while they are still attached to the door. To do this, remove the Torx head bolt from the underside of the mirror. With that bolt removed twist the mirror to its folded closed position while gently lifting up. If it will not slide free with light pressure DO NOT pull any harder as it will break the mirrors plastic surround. If this method is not successful, reinstall the bolt so that the bolt head sticks down slightly, and use a mallet to tap up on the mirror to push it out of the mount.
2. Next, from the inside of the door, remove the two Torx bolts holding the mirror mount to the
door. Slide mount out of the door and set aside.
3. Locate the rubber well nuts in your kit. Insert one well nut into each hole. Note that these will
be slightly difficult to get into place. Inserting the button cap screws supplied with the kit and pushing or pulling the well nuts in will help you get them in place. You only need to get them in far enough for the bolts to start threading.
4. With the well nuts in place, hold your plug plate in place and run the supplied button cap screws
into the holes and begin threading them in. Tighten bolts. You will notice that this will also pull the well nuts firmly into place.
5. Finish the installation by putting the plastic hole plugs into the open end of the well nut inside.
These are intentionally left full length, for you to trim to fit. Trim in steps, removing only as much as you have to. If in the event that these do not stay in place, we suggest using a little bit of super glue to hold it into place.
6. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 for the other side of the vehicle.
