Replacingthe Battery

Replace the 9V batterywhen“Low Battery” appears on thedisplay.Please switch off the unit before
openingthe batterycompartment.Removethebatteryandcarefullydisconnect the contact-clip.
Plug the contact-clip ontothenew batteryand put it back into the comp artment; then closethe
compartment.

Small hand-held Electrostatic Field Meter with digital display designed to measure electrostatic
charges and fields according to the field mill induction principle.

• Theinstrument measures the electrostatic voltage potential. A microcontroller calculates the field
strength (V/m) with the pre-selecteddistance (1cm, 5cm, 10cmand 20cm).

• In “E-Fieldmeter” mode, the instrumentdisplays the fieldstrength in “kV/m”

Measurement Principle

The induced chargecaused by the electricalfield, generates a current proportionalto the electrical field
strength. Theselective,parametric operating-amplifier measures the currentwithout affecting the
averaged time. There are no radioactive components inside the unit.
