1. Unpack the Vero Barista™ Espresso Maker:
DO NOT leave plastic packaging materials
around children.
2. Wash water tank (K) with warm soapy
water, rinse and dry. Fill water tank with
clean water to the MAX ll line, then secure
it rmly into position.
3. Be sure that the control lever (C) and steam/
water dispensing lever (D) are in the vertical
standby position, and then switch the machine to the On position using the On/Off
switch (B). Espresso maker takes approximately 5 minutes to heat up.
4. Making 1 espresso cup – Attach the single
espresso spout to the holder (J).
Making 2 espresso cups – Attach the
double espresso spout to the holder (J ).
5. If using ground espresso – use the scoop
(V) to measure the grounds to ll the ground
espresso holder (L) and use the tamper
(Q) to lightly press espresso grounds down.
Secure the holder to the front of the
machine. Note: 2 scoops (14 grams) max.
If using an espresso pod – place pod inside
the pod holder (M) and secure the holder to
the front of the machine.
6. Place one or two cups under the holder,
and activate the coffee function by pulling
the control lever (C) forward toward the
coffee cup symbol.
7. When the espresso has been dispensed to
the desired level, push the control lever (C)
back to the vertical standby position.
Making Cappuccino or Latte
If you wish to make cappuccino or latte,
push the control lever (C) back to activate

the steam function. The steam function
indicator lamp (H) and boiler temperature
control lamp (G) will turn on. When the
boiler temperature control lamp turns
off again, the machine is at the right
temperature to make steam.
Put the steam/water wand (E) into a frothing
pitcher lled with milk and pull the steam/
water dispensing lever (D) forward. Milk will
begin to froth. CAUTION: DO NOT direct
the steam/water wand toward any parts of
the body.
Hot Water Function
Be sure that the Control lever (C) is in the
vertical standby position and that the
machine has been heated for at least 5
minutes. Place container underneath the
steam/water wand (E) and pull the
steam/water dispenser (D) forward. To stop
the ow of hot water, push the dispenser
back to the vertical standby position.
