Super Plextortion Manual
Thank you for your purchase of our Super Plexortion distortion pedal. It is designed to give you great
modern rock tones through a clean tube amp. It sounds best when the guitar amp is up loud such as a live
situation at stage volumes though it does sound good at bedroom levels as well.
Start with the volume at unity (same level as bypassed), gain at about 12:00, bass and treble at 12:00.
Adjust the mids to about 12:00, then slowly adjust the treble until you just start to get clarity in the
tonality. Then, decrease the bass if you need to or if it sounds "flubby," or loose and undefined. Now,
increase the gain to suit your needs. You may need to adjust the bass and treble down a little the more
you increase the gain. There is also a switch that will allow you to get 3 different levels of gain – a light
gain, medium gain, and heavier gain. The mid control isn't a typical cut/boost mids type of control, rather,
it changes the sweep of the midrange in the eq. This allows for a huge range of tonal variation in the allimportant midrange frequencies.
Power Requirements
The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery. If using a power supply, power needed for the pedal is 9V DC,
regulated, center pin negative, just like most standard Boss™/Ibanez™/Etc. supplies. We recommend the
Visual Sound 1 SPOT™.
