Important instructions for the use of firearms

It should be remembered that even the safest gun is potentially dangerous to you and others when it is not properly handled.

First of all read and understand the operating instructions and learn how the weapon works and is to be handled. Always treat an unloaded weapon as if it were loaded.

! WARNING: Always bear in mind: Keep your finger away from the trigger unless you really intend to fire. Always keep your weapon pointing in a safe direction so that you and others cannot be endangered.

Do not use force when disassembling or assembling your weapon. A gun can only be safe as long as it is in a flawless technical condition.

Incorrect handling and lack of maintenance may lead to malfunctions and reduced safety of the weapon.

Always be aware of possible risks from dropping your pistol or from corrosion or other external influences. In such cases, have your weapon inspected by a competent gunsmith before using it again. Unauthorized modifications to the mechanism, damages caused by the application of force and modifications effected by third parties will lead to the manufacturer not to assume any liability. Only an authorized and qualified gunsmith is allowed to work on a gun.

1 Manual Safety

Safe Position - turn the safety lever to the right so the word “SAFE” is visible (fig. 1).

Fire Position - turn the safety lever to the left so the word “FIRE” is visible (fig. 2).

On the right side of the firearm you also have an indicator for the position of the manual safety (fig. 3 and 4).

! Warning: Never rely solely on mechanical features alone - always be extremely careful, use safe gun handling practices, and avoid situations which could lead to an accident.

2 Inspection

! Warning: Make sure that the firearm is unloaded (chamber cleared, barrel clear of any obstructions, magazine empty) for inspection and that the safety is in the safe position and the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction.

! Warning: Never put your hand in front of the muzzle.

Functional Inspection:

1.Bolt movement: Remove the magazine and retract the bolt by pulling back the charging handle. Release the charging handle to return the bolt fully forward into battery.

2.Bolt catch: Insert the empty magazine, retract the bolt by pulling back the charging handle. The bolt locks back in rearmost position.

3.Decocking: Make sure that the firearm is unloaded (chamber cleared, barrel clear of any obstructions, magazine empty)!

Make sure the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction. Pull the trigger. The hammer drops in decocked position.

3 Loading the firearm

Press magazine release and remove empty magazine (fig. 5). Use the side-mounted button to push the follower down. Insert the cartridge under the magazine lips, at the same time pushing down the follower (fig. 6). Do not use excessive force. Insert the loaded magazine until the magazine catch locks it in position (fig. 7).

! Warning: Make sure that the firearm is unloaded (chamber cleared, barrel clear of any obstructions, magazine empty) for inspection and that the safety is in the safe position and the firearm is pointed in a safe direction.

4 Loading the chamber with the first cartridge

Pick up the firearm with your shooting hand and point the muzzle in a safe direction. Use your other hand to retract and release the bolt with the help of the charging handle (fig. 8). Never put your hand in front of the muzzle. As the bolt travels forward it inserts the first round into the chamber. The hammer is now cocked. ! Warning: Never put your hand in front of the muzzle.

! Warning: Always load a round into the chamber by feeding it from the magazine. Failure to follow this warning can result in severe injury or death to you or others. Never attempt to load the firearm by inserting a round into the open ejection port.

	!	Warning:	Colt M4/M16 cal. .22L.R. are designed so that they are able to fire		fig. 8
			when the magazine is removed. Therefore, if the magazine is removed
	from the firearm and there is a loaded round in the chamber, it will fire if the trigger is pulled.
	After inserting a magazine, always test to make sure it is locked in place by applying some
	removal pressure to the magazine.
	!	Warning:	Your firearm is now ready to fire. Keep your finger off the trigger and
	out of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
	5 Firing
	Grasp firearm with one hand on forearm and other hand on grip with index finger resting along outside of
	trigger guard. Raise firearm and pull buttstock firmly into shoulder.
	Aim at a safe target. Push the manual safety to the fire position. Squeeze the trigger slowly and maintain the
	pressure until the round is fired.

	- You may continue to fire by pulling and fully releasing the trigger until the magazine is empty.
	To fire another shot, you must release the trigger and pull it again.
	- If you wish to stop, release trigger, remove finger from triggerguard, and set saftey selector to “SAFE”
	position. If you have fired the last round from the magazine, the bolt will be held in the rearmost position
	so that the firearm can quickly be reloaded by replacing the magazine, or the chamber can be inspected
	to ensure it is empty.
	6 Decocking
	- If you decide not to fire after the hammer has been cocked or if you decide to suspend firing, keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
	- Remove your finger from within the trigger guard.
	- Place the manual safety in the “SAFE” position and remove the magazine.
6	- Pull charging handle rearward to eject any remaining cartridge(s).

-Make sure that the firearm is unloaded (chamber cleared, barrel clear of any obstructions, magazine empty)!

-You must be certain there is no cartridge in the chamber or obstructions in the barrel. Remember that any time you release the bolt while a magazine containing cartridges is in the firearm, you will have reloaded the firearm and it will be capable of firing.

-Place the manual safety in the “FIRE” position (fig. 10).

-Squeeze trigger to decock the firearm.

	- The firearm may now be transported safely.

	The bolt catch lever does not function. The gun has an internal bolt catch.
	To put the bolt into its forward position insert a loaded magazine and retract the
	charging handle or retract the charging handle without the magazine installed.
	!	Warning: Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction when decocking.					FIRE
	Failure to do this can result in serious injury or death.
	7 Firearm with empty magazine
	After the last round has been fired, the bolt catch holds the bolt in the open position (fig. 11).

	Continue shooting		- Replace the empty magazine with a full one. Pull bolt rearward and release with the
			help of the charging handle (fig. 8), the bolt will travel forward and load the chamber
			with the first round. Keep your firearm in your shooting hand, finger off the
			trigger and pointed in a safe direction so that there is no danger to other persons.
	!	achtung:		Your firearm is now ready to fire. Keep your finger off the trigger and
	out of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
	Discontinue shooting		- Remove magazine and inspect the chamber, to verify it does not contain any ammunition (fig. 9). Close the bolt and decock
			hammer as described in section 6.

8 Unloading
Point the muzzle in a safe direction. Remove the magazine. Ensure that the chamber is empty by pulling back the charging handle to visually
inspect the chamber (fig. 9). Retract the charging handle so that the bolt moves into battery. Push the manual safety to the “fire” position (fig. 10)
and squeeze trigger to decock the firearm. The firearm may now be carried safely.	7

! Warning: Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction when unloading. Failure to do this can result in serious injury or death.

9 Clearing misfires

! Warning: If your firearm gives any indication that it is not performing properly or the operation of your firearm has changed “the way it feels or sounds”, stop firing. Make sure the firearm is pointed in a safe direction, unload the firearm and have it inspected and test fired by a gunsmith qualified to perform service on COLT M16/M4 rimfire rifles made by Carl Walther.

-If a cartridge fails to fire, wait 30 seconds while keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

-Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard.

-Place the manual safety in the “SAFE” position and remove the magazine.

-Grasp the bolt with the charging handle and briskly pull it fully rearward to eject the misfired round. Check the barrel chamber and bore visually for any obstructions. Never look down the barrel from the muzzle end.

-You must be certain there are no cartridges in the chamber or obstructions in the barrel. Remember that any time you release the bolt while a magazine containing cartridges is in the firearm, you will have reloaded the firearm and it will be capable of firing.

Note: The forward assist plunger does not function. In case of feeding failures, retract the charging handle to extract the damaged round.

! Warning: Never try to use a misfired cartridge again.

10 Settings

10.1 Setting of the dual aperture rear sight
The dual aperture rear sight can be adjusted for two target ranges
by flipping it foward or backward.
Short Range - The larger aperture is used for 0 - 200 yards
	range (0-200 meters) (fig. 12).
Normal Range - The smaler aperture is used for over 200 yards
8	(200 meters) range (fig. 13).

The elevation is adjusted using the elevation knob below the rear
sight (fig. 14). Turning the knob adjusts elevation up or down.
Amount of adjustment is defined by a click when the knob is turned.
The windage is adjusted using the windage knob on the side of the
rear sight (fig. 15). Turning the knob adjusts for windage left or right.
Amount of adjustment is defined by a click when the knob is turned.
Note: Because this is a replica, the markings on the elevation and
windage knobs are not set for .22 LR ammunition.	fig. 16				fig. 17
10.3 Setting of the front sight post
The elevation is adjusted by pushing in the front sight post detent
near the front sight post (fig. 16) and simultaneously turning the front
sight post in desired position.The front sight post must be engaged
in one of the 4 detents (fig 17).
NOTE: Adjustment of the front sight post is for initial zeroing of the
rifle. For all future elevation adjustments use the rear sight.					fig. 18

10.4 Setting of the retractable stock (Models M4 Carbine; M4 OPS only)

On the Variants M4 Carbine and M4 OPS the buttstock can be adjusted in its length. Pushing the buttstock latch allows the buttstock to be adjusted to various lengths (fig. 18).

10.5 Setting of the bolt speed

The bolt speed can be adjusted for different ammunition requirements. To reach the screw for bolt speed

adjustment the gun has to be disassembled as described in Section 12 Field Stripping (fig.19). Only adjust

the bolt speed if problems are encountered when firing a different type of ammunition.

For high velocity ammunition, use the correct size Allen wrench (hex key) to reduce the bolt speed by turning

the screw clockwise (fig. 19).

For standard ammunition, use the correct size Allen wrench (hex key) to increase the bolt speed by turning

the screw counter clockwise (fig. 19). The screwhead must not rise out of, or be removed from the gun.

11 Mounting an optical sight

To mount an optical sight, the carry handle can be removed by loosing the nuts on the left side of the

carry handle (fig. 20). This will provide a mil-standard rail for mounting of optics.

out the magazine and check that the firearm is not loaded.

! Warning: To avoid damage in disassembly, loosen the barrel nut until the barrel sleeve and compensator are separated by at least 5 mm. Only then is it possible to remove the front and rear pins from the upper and lower receiver.

To disassemble insert an empty magazine, pull back the bolt to its rearmost position with the charging handle. fig. 22 Remove the magazine for further disassembly. The gun can be opened by pushing the rear receiver pin out of

the gun to the right (fig. 21; 22). Do not use excessive force. There are 5 false/dummy pins (3 left side (fig. A), 2 right side (fig.B)). Do not try to tap them out. Doing so will damage your firearm and will void your warrenty. NOTE: Further disassembly is not

necessary or recommended and will void your warranty.

13 Cleaning

In order to keep the firearm functional and to extend its service life, the firearm should be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals.

! Warning: Place the manual safety in the “SAFE” position, remove the magazine, open the bolt, and inspect the chamber to make sure it is empty.

Remove fouling from breech, magazine lips, follower, and receiver with a brush and a cloth. Clean the barrel with bore solvent and a brush and then dry it with cleaning patches; always begin at the chamber. Repeat until barrel is clean. Apply a thin coat of oil to all metal parts.

Reassemble firearm and check for proper function.

14 Storage

! Warning: Never leave a loaded firearm unattended!

Always keep and store your firearm in an unloaded condition with the safety in the “SAFE” position. Keep the firearm and ammunition away from children and unauthorized persons. Firearms should be stored separately from ammunition. The ejection port cover is without function. Always store your firearm with the simulating device in the chamber to make sure no cartrige is loaded (fig. 23).

16 Warranty

Within the first year after the date of purchase, WALTHER will repair or replace your defective firearm free of charge provided the defect was not caused by your misuse or negligence.

WALTHER firearms are warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Any such defects of which WALTHER receives written notice within one year from the date of purchase by the original owner, will be remedied by WALTHER without charge within a reasonable time after such notification and delivery of the firearm as provided below. Warranty claims (in writing) and the firearm concerned should be delivered to WALTHER’s Warranty Service in its original case or in a similarly secure container.

In addition, a copy of the bill of sale in the owner’s name, or a copy of ATF Form 4473 indicating date of purchase must be included.

! Warning: IMPORTANT! When transporting a firearm, make sure that it is unloaded and that the safety is in the safe position.

WARRANTY CONT’D.

Warranty claims should state the model and serial number of the firearm concerned and the description of the difficulty experienced. It is recommended that shipments be insured by the owner, since WALTHER will accept no responsibility for loss or damage in transit. Transportation and

insurance charges for return to owner will be paid by WALTHER if the claim is covered by the warranty.

Wichtige Hinweise für den Umgang mit Waffen

Gehen Sie davon aus, dass auch die sicherste Waffe durch unsachgemäßen Umgang für Sie und andere gefährlich werden kann. Machen Sie sich zuerst anhand der Bedienungsanleitung mit der Funktion und Handhabung der Waffe vertraut. Gehen Sie auch mit der ungeladenen Waffe so um, als wenn sie geladen wäre.

! ACHTUNG: Beachten Sie stets: Keinen Finger am Abzug, außer zur gewollten

Schussabgabe. Halten Sie die Waffe immer so, dass Sie und Unbeteiligte nicht gefährdet sind.

Wenden Sie bei der Bedienung, beim Zerlegen und beim Zusammenbau nie Gewalt an. Sicherheit ist nur gewährleistet, solange sich die Waffe in einwandfreiem Zustand befindet. Unsachgemäße Handhabung und mangelnde Pflege können die Funktion und Sicherheit der Waffe beeinträchtigen.

Beachten Sie, dass die Waffe bei Einwirkungen von außen, z.B. Korrosion, Herunterfallen usw., von einem Fachmann durchgeprüft werden muss.

Unsachgemäße Eingriffe in den Mechanismus, durch Gewalt hervorgerufene Beschädigungen und Veränderungen durch Dritte entbinden den Hersteller von jeglichen Gewährleistungsansprüchen. Arbeiten an Waffen dürfen nur von autorisierten Fachleuten vorgenommen werden.

1 Sicherung

gesichert - Drehen Sie den Sicherungswahlhebel nach hinten. Das Wort “SAFE” muss sichtbar sein (Fig. 1).

Feuerbereit - Drehen Sie den Sicherungswahlhebel nach vorn. Das Wort “FIRE” muss sichtbar sein (Fig. 2).

Auf der rechten Seite der Schusswaffe befindet sich ebenfalls eine Anzeige, anhand welcher Sie die Stellung der manuellen Sicherung erkennen können (Fig. 3 und 4).

2 Prüfung vor Gebrauch

! achtung: Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Waffe entladen (Patronenlager und Lauf frei, Magazin leer), die manuelle Sicherung gesichert ist und die Waffe in eine sichere Richtung zeigt.

! achtung: Halten Sie niemals Ihre Hand vor die Mündung.

Funktionsprüfung:

1.Funktion des Verschlusses: Entfernen Sie das Magazin und öffnen Sie den Verschluss, indem Sie den Durchladehebel zurückziehen. Lassen Sie den Durchladehebel los, damit der Verschluss wieder nach vorn fährt und schließt.

2.Verschlussfang: Führen Sie ein leeres Magazin ein, öffnen Sie den Verschluss, indem Sie den Durchladehebel zurückziehen. Der Verschluss wird in hinterster Stellung gefangen.

3.Entspannen: Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schusswaffe entladen ist (Patronenlager leer, Lauf frei von Hindernissen, Magazin leer)! Richten Sie die Mündung in eine sichere Richtung. Entsichern Sie. Betätigen Sie den Abzug. Der Hahn schlägt ab und ist entspannt.

3 Laden der Schusswaffe
Drücken Sie den Magazinhalter und entfernen Sie das leere Magazin (Fig. 5). Verwenden Sie den seitlichen
Knopf, um den Zubringer nach unten zu führen. Führen Sie die Patrone unterhalb der Magazinlippen zu, wäh-
rend Sie den Zubringer unten halten (Fig. 6). Wenden Sie keine übermäßige Kraft an. Führen Sie das geladene
Magazin in den Magazinschacht ein, bis der Magazinhalter einrastet (Fig. 7).
! Achtung:	Für die Überprüfung stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schusswaffe entladen		Fig. 5
ist (Patronenlager leer, Lauf frei von Hindernissen, Magazin leer), die Sicherung auf SAFE gestellt
ist und die Schusswaffe in eine sichere Richtung weist.

4 Zuführen der ersten Patrone

Nehmen Sie die Schusswaffe mit Ihrer Schießhand auf und richten Sie die Mündung in eine sichere Richtung. Mit Ihrer anderen Hand ziehen Sie den Verschluss zurück und lassen ihn los, indem Sie den Durchladehebel zurückziehen und ihn an seinem Anschlag loslassen (Fig. 8). Halten Sie niemals Ihre Hand vor die Mündung. Während der Verschluss nach vorn fährt, führt er dem Patronenlager die erste Patrone zu. Die Schusswaffe ist nun gespannt. Lassen Sie die Sicherung in Stellung „SAFE“, bis Sie zum Schießen bereit sind.

! Achtung: Halten Sie niemals Ihre Hand vor die Mündung.

! achtung: Laden Sie eine Patrone in das Patronenlager, indem SAie die Patrone ausschließlich über das Magazin dem Patronenlager zuführen. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Warnung kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen oder zum Tode führen. Versuchen Sie niemals, eine

Patrone über den geöffneten Verschluss in das Patronenlager zu laden.

!	achtung:	Mit den Gewehren Colt M4/M16 Kal. .22 l.r. kann auch dann ein Schuss
		abgegeben werden, wenn kein Magazin in der Waffe ist. Wenn sich noch
eine geladene Patrone im Patronenlager befindet und man den Abzug betätigt, wird ein Schuss
abgegeben, auch wenn kein Magazin in der Waffe ist. Nachdem Sie das Magazin in die Waffe
eingeführt haben, prüfen Sie immer, ob das Magazin eingerastet ist, indem Sie mit geringem
Kraftaufwand versuchen, das Magazin aus der Waffe zu ziehen.
!	achtung:	Ihre Schusswaffe ist nun feuerbereit. Halten Sie Ihren Finger vom Abzug
entfernt und außerhalb des Abzugbügels, bis Sie zum Schießen bereit sind.
5 Schießen

Halten Sie die Schusswaffe mit einer Hand am Handschutz und mit der anderen Hand am Griff, während
der Zeigefinger außen längs am Abzugbügel anliegt. Nehmen Sie die Schusswaffe hoch und ziehen Sie die
Schaftkappe fest an Ihre Schulter.
Zielen Sie in eine sichere Richtung. Drehen Sie den Sicherungshebel in die Feuer-Stellung (FIRE). Ziehen Sie
den Abzug langsam und gleichmäßig durch, bis der Schuss bricht.
Ihre Schusswaffe lädt nach Abgabe des Schusses sofort wieder durch.

-Sie können weiterschießen, bis das Magazin leer ist. Zur Abgabe eines weiteren Schusses muss der Abzug freigegeben und erneut betätigt werden.

-Wenn Sie mit dem Schießen aufhören wollen, lassen Sie den Abzug los, nehmen Ihren Finger aus dem Abzugbügel und drehen die Sicherung in die Gesichert-Stellung (SAFE). Sobald die letzte Patrone aus dem Magazin verschossen wurde, bleibt der Verschluss in geöffneter Stellung stehen. Die Schusswaffe kann dadurch schnell wieder geladen werden. Ersetzen Sie das leere Magazin durch ein geladenes Magazin, oder entnehmen Sie das leere Magazin und prüfen Sie, ob das Patronenlager leer ist.

6 Entspannen

-Wenn Sie sich entschließen, nicht zu schießen, nachdem der Hahn gespannt wurde, oder wenn Sie das Schießen unterbrechen möchten, halten Sie die Schusswaffe weiterhin so, dass sie in eine sichere Richtung weist.

-Nehmen Sie Ihren Finger aus dem Abzugbügel.

-Drehen Sie die Sicherung in die Gesichert-Stellung (SAFE) und entnehmen Sie das Magazin.

-	Ziehen Sie den Durchladehebel zurück, um noch verbliebene Patronen auszuwerfen.
-	Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schusswaffe entladen ist (Patronenlager leer, Lauf frei von Hindernissen, Magazin leer)!
-	Denken Sie daran: Wenn Sie den Verschluss schließen, während sich ein geladenes Magazin
	in der Schusswaffe befindet, haben Sie die Waffe geladen und sie ist schussbereit.
-	Drehen Sie die manuelle Sicherung in die Feuer-Stellung (FIRE) (Fig. 10).

-Nun kann die Schusswaffe sicher transportiert werden.

Der externe Verschlussfanghebel ist ohne Funktion. Die Waffe besitzt einen internen Verschlussfang. Um den Verschluss nach vorn zu bringen, ziehen Sie den Durchladehebel ohne ein Magazin in der Waffe durch.

! Achtung: Halten Sie die Schusswaffe beim Entspannen in eine sichere Richtung. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Warnung kann zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum Tode führen.

	Nach Abgabe des letzten Schusses hält der Verschlussfang den Verschluss in geöffneter Stellung (Fig. 11).
	Drehen Sie die manuelle Sicherung in die Gesichert-Stellung (SAFE).
	Schießen fortsetzen	- Ersetzen Sie das leere Magazin durch ein geladenes. Ziehen Sie den Durchladehebel
		zurück und lassen Sie ihn los (Fig. 8); der Verschluss fährt nach vorn und führt dem
		Patronenlager die erste Patrone zu. Halten Sie die Schusswaffe in Ihrer Schießhand.
		Ihr Finger befindet sich nicht am Abzug, und die Waffe weist in eine sichere Richtung,
		damit keine anderen Personen gefährdet werden.
	! achtung:		Ihre Schusswaffe ist nun feuerbereit. Halten Sie Ihren Finger vom Abzug entfernt und außerhalb des
	Abzugbügels, bis Sie zum Schießen bereit sind.
Schießen einstellen		- Entfernen Sie das Magazin und prüfen Sie das Patronenlager. Das Patronenlager muss leer sein (Fig. 9). Schließen Sie den
		Verschluss und entspannen Sie den Hahn, wie in Kapitel 6 beschrieben.

8 Entladen

Richten Sie die Mündung in eine sichere Richtung. Entfernen Sie das Magazin. Ziehen Sie den Durchladehebel zurück und kontrollieren Sie, ob das Patronenlager leer ist (Fig. 9). Führen Sie den Durchladehebel nach vorn, um den Verschluss zu schließen. Drehen Sie die manuelle Sicherung in die Feuer-Position (FIRE) und ziehen Sie den Abzug durch, um die Schusswaffe zu entspannen. Die Schusswaffe kann nun sicher transportiert werden.

! Achtung: Halten Sie die Schusswaffe beim Entladen so, dass sie in eine sichere Richtung weist. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Warnung kann zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum Tode führen.

9 Beheben von Zündversagern

! Achtung: Unterbrechen Sie das Schießen, falls Sie das Gefühl haben, Ihre Waffe funktioniert nicht richtig, oder die Art, wie sie sich anfühlt oder klingt, hätte sich verändert. Richten Sie die Waffe in eine sichere Richtung, entladen Sie sie und geben Sie sie zur Inspektion und zum Test zu einem Büchsenmacher, der für Reparaturen an Walther-Schusswaffen qualifiziert ist.

-Bei einem Zündversager warten Sie 30 Sekunden, während Sie die Mündung weiterhin in eine sichere Richtung gerichtet halten.

-Halten Sie Ihren Finger vom Abzug entfernt und außerhalb des Abzugbügels.

-Stellen Sie die manuelle Sicherung auf „SAFE“ und entfernen Sie das Magazin.

-Greifen Sie den Durchladehebel und ziehen Sie ihn schnell bis zum Anschlag zurück. Dabei wird der Verschluss geöffnet und die schadhafte Patrone ausgeworfen. Prüfen Sie das Patronenlager und den Lauf optisch auf Hindernisse. Blicken Sie niemals durch die Mündung in den Lauf.

-Stellen Sie sicher, dass weder Patronen noch Hindernisse im Lauf sind.

Beachten Sie: Immer wenn Sie den Verschluss schließen, während ein geladenes Magazin in der Schusswaffe ist, wird die Waffe geladen und ist schussbereit.

Hinweis: Der Verschlussdrücker (Forward Assist) ist ohne Funktion. Bei einer Zuführstörung ziehen Sie den Durchladehebel zurück, um die beschädigte Patrone zu entfernen.

! Achtung: Versuchen Sie niemals, eine Patrone mit Zündversager noch einmal zu verwenden.

10 Einstellungen

10.1 Wahl der Lochkimme

Die beiden Lochkimmen des Visiers sind für zwei unterschiedliche Zielentfernungen ausgelegt. Durch Voroder Zurückklappen kann die entsprechende Kimme gewählt werden.

Kurze Entfernung -	Die große Lochkimme dient für Distanzen von
	0 bis 200 Meter (Fig. 12).
Normale Entfernung -	Die kleine Lochkimme dient für Distanzen von
	über 200 Meter (Fig. 13).

10.2 Einstellen des Visiers

Die Höhe der Treffpunktlage lässt sich mit dem Stellrad unterhalb des Visiers korrigieren (Fig. 14). Durch Drehen wird die Treffpunktlage nach oben oder unten verändert. Das Stellrad besitzt eine Rastung (Klick-Verstellung). Die Seitenlage des Treffpunkts lässt sich mittels des Seitenstellrads anpassen (Fig. 15). Durch Drehen wird die Treffpunktlage nach links oder rechts korrigiert. Das Stellrad besitzt eine Rastung (Klick-Verstellung).

Hinweis: Da es sich bei dem Gewehr um eine Replika handelt, sind die Beschriftungen auf den Stellrädern nicht auf Munition .22 l.r. abgestimmt.

10.3 Einstellen des Balkenkorns

Die Höhe wird eingestellt, indem der Rastbolzen am Korn hineingedrückt wird (Fig. 16); gleichzeitig wird das Korn in die gewünschte Stellung gedreht. Der Rastbolzen muss in einer der vier Aussparungen am Korn einrasten (Fig. 17).

Hinweis: Das Einstellen der Höhe des Korns erfolgt als Grundeinstellung. Spätere Korrekturen der Treffpunktlage erfolgen über das Visier.

10.4 Einstellen des Teleskopschafts (nur Modelle M4 Fig. 18 Carbine und M4 OPS)

Bei den Varianten M4 Carbine und M4 OPS kann die Länge des Schafts angepasst werden. Während die Schaftverstellung gedrückt gehalten wird, kann die Länge des Schafts verändert werden (Fig. 18).

10.5 Einstellen der Verschlussgeschwindigkeit

Zur Anpassung an unterschiedliche Munitionssorten kann die

Geschwindigkeit des Verschlussstücks verändert werden. Um an die Einstellschraube für die Verschlussstückgeschwindigkeit zu gelangen, muss die Waffe wie in Kapitel 12 erläutert zerlegt werden (Fig. 19). Passen Sie die Geschwindigkeit des Verschlussstücks nur dann an, wenn seit dem Wechsel zu einer anderen Munitionssorte Probleme aufgetreten sind. Um bei High Velocity Munition die Geschwindigkeit des Verschlussstücks zu verringern, drehen Sie die Schraube im Uhrzeigersinn. Verwenden Sie einen passenden Innensechskantschlüssel (Inbusschlüssel) (Fig. 19). Um für Standard-Munition die Geschwindigkeit des Verschlussstücks zu erhöhen, drehen Sie die Schraube gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Verwenden Sie einen passenden Innensechskantschlüssel (Inbusschlüssel) (Fig. 19). Der Kopf der Schraube darf nicht überstehen oder von der Waffe entfernt werden.

11 Montage einer optischen Zieleinrichtung

Für die Anbringung eines Zielfernrohrs kann der Tragegriff entfernt werden. Dazu werden die Muttern auf der linken Seite des Tragegriffs gelöst (Fig. 20). Unter dem Tragegriff befindet sich eine Mil-Standard-Montageschiene für das Anbringen von Optiken.

12 Zerlegen

! Achtung Beachten Sie die Demontageanleitung genauestens. Führen Sie keine Tätigkeiten über die in dieser Anleitung ausdrücklich erwähnten Anweisungen hinaus aus. Ändern oder überarbeiten Sie niemals Bauteile an ihrer Waffe.
