9v Jack - The Messner is powered via a 9-volt
battery inside the pedal or an external 9-volt DC
supply plugged in to the power jack. To power
the pedal, a cable must be plugged in to the
input jack of the pedal.
Gain - Adjusts how hard the signal is clipped in
the overdrive section of the Messner. Increase
the gain to for more breakup, decrease for a
cleaner slightly overdriven sound when pushed.
MESSNER
Description
The Messner is a low gain-transparent overdrive
boasting a wide range of overdrive possibilities.
It is designed to preserve the natural voice of
your guitar by not coloring your tone, but giving
the user the ability to dial in and out the exact
amount of tone they desire. A toggle switch
allows the user to bypass the clipping diodes
from the circuit in the open position and employ
them in the closed position, allowing a wide
range of breakup from subtle to dramatic. Flip it
to the open position and dial in a lower drive
setting to add subtle aggression to your tone.
Run it in the closed position and turn the gain
knob up for more compressed and punchy tones.
The color control works in all modes, giving you
the ability to dial in brighter tones as you turn it
up and darker tones when turned down. If you
are looking for a low gain, dynamic overdrive that
won't hide your guitar's natural characteristics,
meet my friend, the Messner.
Output - Controls the overall output level of the
Messner.
Toggle - In the open position (up), the clipping
diodes are removed from the circuit making for a
low compression, more open sounding drive. In
closed position (down), the clipping diodes are
included in the circuit. This gives a more
compressed sound with a smoother breakup
texture.
Output Jack -
Color - Allows you to make your overall tone
darker or brighter.
LED - Illuminated when in effect mode.
Input Jack - 1/4 inch cable to instrument.
On/Off True Bypass Switch - Press switch to
turn on (effect mode) and again to turn off
(bypass mode).
