Venting
The custom units come with a solid vent installed. When worn in loud environments the
solid vent plugs should be used for full sound protection. Venting is useful for pressure
relief and providing ventilation to the ear canal to help prevent moisture buildup. Proper
venting will also make your own voice sound more natural to you. To change a vent plug
first remove the existing plug. Insert the new vent plug into the plug before removing it
from the plug tree. Push the vent plug firmly until it is completely inserted. Vent plugs are
tapered to make a tight fit when it is completely inserted. When it is completely inserted
then break the plug free from the tree. You can trim any extruding portion of the vent plug
with a small pair of scissors.
