When using this electrical appliance, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be observed including
the following.

WARNING
1. This appliance can be used by
children from aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
These scales must be fully charged before rst
use.
TO CHARGE
1. This product should be fully charged when
rst used or if it has been stored unused for a long time. The battery symbol ashes during
charging and disappears when charging is complete. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge.
NOTE: If required, a quick charge of 2 minutes will give approx. 5 minutes operating time.
2. Please use the supplied USB cable with an Android 5V charger with current less than or equal to 2A. A voltage greater than 5V is not suitable. Maximum capacity for lithium battery is 250mAh.
3. It is suggested you charge every 3 months if the product hasn’t been used.

WEIGHING MODES FOR FOOD AND LIQUID This scale will measure foods and liquids. To select weight (food), milk volume or water volume mode press the UNIT button until the required mode symbol shows on the LCD display. Refer to the LCD display diagram and mode symbols above.

IMPERIAL OR METRIC MEASUREMENTS These scales can weigh in both Metric (g, ml) and
Imperial (lb:oz, ’oz).
To select between Imperial and Metric press and hold the UNIT button for approximately three seconds.
WEIGHING OPERATION
NOTE: When using a weighing bowl position the bowl centrally before turning on the scales.
1. Press /ZERO button to turn the unit on.
2. LCD will come on showing all segments lit up,
then return to the weighing mode that was previously used.
3. Press UNIT button to set to gram or oz (To
select between Imperial and Metric press and hold the UNIT button for approximately three seconds).
4. Ensure the unit is stable and showing zero
weight before weighing, and that the platform is dry.
5. Always try to place the ingredient you are
weighing in the centre of the platform or bowl.
6. Wait until the LCD has stabilised, the LCD will
then indicate the proper weight value of the ingredient you are weighing.

TARE FUNCTION / ADD & WEIGH You can do consecutive weighing
/ZER
without removing the weighing mass already placed on the platform. Each time before adding an additional ingredient, simply press the /ZERO button once, it will then conduct a tare function and return the LCD to zero, then add a new ingredient and the LCD will weigh and indicate only the net weight of the added ingredient. While the tare function is activated the LCD will show an icon T in the top left corner. On Tare mode when you press the /ZERO button the total weight will be shown, press the /ZERO button again to return the LCD to zero and carry on weighing. NOTE: The Tare function will activate only
when the initial weight exceeds 200g.
When you have completed weighing, simply press
and hold the /ZERO button to turn o󰀨 the unit. If
the unit is left idle it will automatically shut down
after 2 minutes.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. The unit is a high precision device and is
extremely sensitive. Avoid dropping the unit or dropping heavy objects on to the unit.
2. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the
appliance a mild detergent can be used if necessary, do not use strong chemicals, alcohol or benzene for cleaning.
3. Keep unit away from high temperatures.
4. Keep unit away from high electronic magnetic
elds such as cordless phone, computer
transformer etc, as this will interfere with the function and accuracy.
5. Always use the scale on a hard at surface.

LITHIUM BATTERY REPLACEMENT,
REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY REPLACEMENT For battery replacement the entire, intact appliance should be sent to: Wahl (UK) Ltd Customer Services (the address can be found on the reverse
of this booklet) or taken to a suitably qualied
professional. The battery should only be replaced by the original manufacturers spare, for safety reasons a substitute should not be used. Do not attempt to remove the battery. Lithium-Ion
batteries can explode, catch re, and/or cause
burns if disassembled, damaged or exposed to water or high temperatures.
LITHIUM BATTERY DISPOSAL Do not dispose of this product or the Lithium battery in the normal household waste. The product should be returned to Wahl Customer
Services where we o󰀨er a take back service or
taken to a local collection facility where they will be dealt with safely and sent for the appropriate recycling.

At the end of this products life it should not be disposed of with general household waste. Care should be taken to dispose of in a suitable manner in accordance with your Local Authority regulation.

GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase or receipt as a gift.
Should this product become defective during the guarantee period, return it to the store of purchase together with your proof of purchase for repair or replacement.
Alternatively within the guarantee period you can return the product to Wahl (UK) Ltd who will repair any such defect or elect to replace the product or any part of it, without charge, provided that there is proof of purchase. Should a replacement be
o󰀨ered this will not extend the original guarantee
period.
The guarantee becomes invalid in the case of misuse, alteration or repair by unauthorised persons.
This product is designed for domestic use only and use within a professional environment will invalidate the guarantee.
This guarantee in no way a󰀨ects your rights under
statutory law in the United Kingdom.
