TIPS FOR PREPARING FOOD
1. Remove all hard and undesirable food components e.g. skin, pips, stalks, stones etc.
2. Fresh herbs, leaf vegetables are best processed using short repetitive bursts. You may nd that the addition of a little liquid will help the process.
3. Do not overll. For even results chop small amounts of food at a time.
4. You will get more consistency if food is in similar size pieces to start with.
5. Some foods may stick to the sides as they are processed and may need to be returned to the centre of the jar. This can be done by removing the jar from the motor housing and shaking gently.
6. Always place your hand on top of the blender when you are operating the device.
7. For blending thicker liquids we recommend that you use the blender in short bursts for best results.
8. Ensure there is enough liquid to effectively blend.
WARNING: ALLOW ANY HOT LIQUIDS TO COOL TO A LUKEWARM TEMPERATURE BEFORE BLENDING.

Purees
Vegetable purees are great for babies but also a great way of adding avour to lots of meals as an accompaniment. And can be made with just vegetables and a little milk or water or richer with the addition of seasoning’s and cream etc.
Simply boil, steam or microwave your favourite vegetables, carrot, sweet potato, parsnip, swede, courgette and peas all
work well. Then add to the blender with enough liquid to blend, you can always add a little more. This liquid can be the cooking liquor, milk or cream for a richer puree. See pea puree recipe.
You can also prepare purees using cooked meats such as chicken, beef. Ensure all bone and gristle is removed and it is cut into small pieces. Blend with enough water, milk or cooking liquor to mix, adding in cooked vegetables if required.
Pea Puree
1 cup frozen peas cooked
Knob of butter (optional) Table spoon at parsley (optional)

Milk Shakes
Milk shakes are so easy just add ice cream, favouring’s and milk.
Use vanilla or avoured ice creams to create your shake. Add in your chosen avourings this can be fruit, syrups, vanilla, coffee etc. Sweeten to taste if required with sugar or honey and ll with milk and blend. Reduce the quantity of milk to make a thicker shake.
