Thank you for purchasing the Brite-Nite 2 Million Spotlight LED Lantern by Wagan Tech With
normal care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service. Please read all
operating instructions carefully before use.

INTRODUCTION

This Spotlight/Lantern is useful for accomplishing a variet y of activities. In the field, it
serves as a powerful spotlight. At the campground, the lantern feature is very useful as a
bright steady reading light. During tire changes at night, the lantern can light the area. Two
chargers are included allowing either DC charge from a cigarette lighter socket or from any
AC socket.

1. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

WARNING! READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS UNIT.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS LISTED BELOW, MAY RESULT IN ELECTRIC
SHOCK, FIRE AND/OR SERIOUS PERSONAL IN JURY.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

• Do not operate this spotlight in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust. The battery can create sparks which may ignite
the dust or fumes.

• Do not abuse the DC or AC adaptors. Never use the adaptors to carry the
spotlight. Keep cords away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords may create a fire.

Use and Care

• Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any
other condition that may affect the spotlight’s operation. If damaged, have the
spotlight serviced before using.

• Battery operated spotlights with integral batteries must be recharged only with the
specified charger for the battery. A charger that may be suitable for one type of
battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.

Service

• The battery is not intended to be removed from the spotlight by the user.

• Spotlight service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or
maintenance performed by unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.

• When servicing a spotlight, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions
in the maintenance section of this manual. The use of unauthorized parts or failure
to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.

• If the power cord is broken, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or authorized
personnel.

2. SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

• Be sure to charge the unit completely before its first use. This will prolong the life of
the Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern.

• Do not turn on the unit in any way while charging. Doing so may damage the
unit and is not covered under warranty. As with all lead-acid cell batteries, when
storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully ever y 3- 6 months to prolong the life of
the battery.

• Though durable and built to last, do not drop the unit excessively as this will greatly
reduce the life of the spotlight.

• Do not submerge the unit under water.

• Lens becomes very hot during operation. Do not touch lens while lens is still hot.

• Do not cover lens during operation.

• Do not shine directly into eyes.

• Turn off the unit and allow it to cool before storage or maintenance.

• When servicing always wear safety glasses when working with hardware.

• Use only supplied chargers.

4. OPERATION

• Spotlight High Setting: Locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite-Nite Spotlight
Lantern and toggle from “O” to “|” position.

• Spotlight Low Setting: Locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite-Nite Spotlight
Lantern and toggle from “O” to “II” position.

• LED lantern: Locate the switch at the base of the lamp next to the charging input
jack. Slide switch to turn on.

Important

Do not turn on lamp in any way while charging. Doing so may damage the unit and is
not covered under warranty. As with all lead-acid cell batteries, when storing, be sure to
recharge the batter y fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the battery.

AC Charging

Insert the AC charging plug into the charging jack on the base of the lamp, and the
transformer end of the AC adapter into an 110V AC outlet. Leave the locking switch in the
downwards (OFF) position. The LED indicator light will go on, indicating that the spotlight is
charging (approximately 12 hours).

DC Charging

Insert the DC charging plug into the charging jack and the cigarette plug end into the car
cigarette socket. Leave all light switches in the OFF position. The LED indicator light will go
on indicating that the spotlight is charging (approximately 8 hours).

5. MAINTENANCE

Halogen Bulb

The 2 million power rated Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern uses a 6V 8W/20W H3 halogen bulb
that does not need to be changed. Do not attempt to alter or change the bulb.

Super Bright LED Lantern

The LED lantern uses bright LEDs that do not need changing. The lifespan of the LEDs should
last up to 10,000 hrs. Do not attempt to alter or change the LEDs.

Disposal/Recycling

All electronic equipment contains materials that can damage the environment if not properly
disposed of. Contact your local authority for disposal or recycling instructions.

All WAGAN Corporation products are warranted to the original purchaser of this
product.

Warranty Duration: This product is warranted to the original purchaser for a
period of one (1) Year from the original purchase date, to be free of defects in
material and workmanship. WAGAN Corporation disclaims any liability for
consequential damages. In no event will WAGAN Corporation be responsible for
any amount of damages beyond the amount paid for the product at retail. In the
event of a defective item, please contact WAGAN Corporation at [phone]
to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#), and return
instructions. Each item returned will require a separate RMA#. After you have
received the RMA# and the return instructions from WAGAN Corporation, please
follow the instructions and send the item with PREPAID SHIPPING, along with all of
the required documentation, a complete explanation of the problem, your name,
address and daytime phone number. WAGAN Corporation will, at its option,
replace or repair the defective part.

A Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) is REQUIRED when
sending in any defective item. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any
item(s) returned without an official Returned Merchandise Authorization number.
The item(s) must be returned with prepaid shipping. WAGAN Corporation is not
responsible for any shipping charges incurred in returning the item(s) back to the
company for repair or replacement. This warranty is void if the product has been
damaged by accident, in shipment, unreasonable use, misuse, neglect, improper
service, commercial use, repairs by unauthorized personnel or other causes not
arising out of defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is effective only
if the product is purchased and operated in the USA and does not extend to any
units which have been used in violation of written instructions furnished.

Warranty Disclaimers: This warranty is in lieu of all warranties expressed or
implied and no representative or person is authorized to assume any other liability
in connection with the sale of our products. There shall be no claims for defects
or failure of performance or product failure under any theory of tort, contract or
commercial law including, but not limited to negligence, gross negligence, strict
liability, breach of warranty and breach of contract.

Warranty Performance: During the above one (1) Year warranty period, a product
with a defect will be replaced with a comparable model when the product is
returned to WAGAN Corporation with an original store receipt. The replacement
product will be in warrant y for the balance of the one (1) Year warranty period.

INTRODUCCIÓN

líquidos inflamables, gases, o polvo. La batería puede crear chispas que pueden

4. OPERACIÓN

• Linterna proyectora (luz alta): Localice el interruptor en la manija de la linterna y
cámbielo de la posición “O” a “I”.

• Linterna proyectora (luz baja): Localice el interruptor en la manija de la linterna y
cámbielo de la posición “O” a “II”.

• Linterna LED: Localice el interruptor en la base de la lámpara al lado del pequeño
zócalo de carga. Deslice el interruptor para encenderlo.

• No cubra el lente durante el uso de la unidad.

• No apunte la luz de la linterna directamente a los ojos de personas.

• Antes de almacenar o recargar la unidad, apáguela y déjela enfriar.

• Cuando le de mantenimiento a la linterna es recomendable usar gafas
de seguridad.

Importante

NO encienda la linterna mientras esta se carga. El hacer esto daña la unidad y no esta
cubierto bajo la garantía. Para prolongar la vida de la batería cargue la unidad totalmente
de cada 3 a 6 meses antes de almacenar.

Recarga con Adaptador CA

Inserte el enchufe de carga del adaptador en el zócalo de carga de la unidad (este se
encuentra en la base de la unidad). Luego conecte el otro extremo del adaptador a un
zócalo de corriente de casa de 110V. Mantenga todos los botones de la linterna en
apagado mientras se carga. La luz indicadora LED se encenderá, indicando que la linterna
este cargada (Aproximadamente 12 horas).

Recarga con Adaptador de Auto CC

Inserte el enchufe de carga en el zócalo de carga de la linterna y el otro extremo en
el zócalo encendedor de cigarrillos. Mantenga la linterna en apagado mientras se

5. MANTENIMIENTO

La Linterna proyectora Brite-Nite 2 Millones usa un bombillo de halogeno con las siguientes

alterar o cambiar el bombillo.

Linterna LED

La linterna LED usa luces LEDs que no necesitan ser reemplazadas. La vida de las luces LED
