Thank you for purchasing the Brite-Nite 2 Million Spotlight LED Lantern by Wagan Tech With
normal care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service. Please read all
operating instructions carefully before use.
INTRODUCTION
This Spotlight/Lantern is useful for accomplishing a variet y of activities. In the field, it
serves as a powerful spotlight. At the campground, the lantern feature is very useful as a
bright steady reading light. During tire changes at night, the lantern can light the area. Two
chargers are included allowing either DC charge from a cigarette lighter socket or from any
AC socket.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS LISTED BELOW, MAY RESULT IN ELECTRIC
SHOCK, FIRE AND/OR SERIOUS PERSONAL IN JURY.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
• Do not operate this spotlight in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust. The battery can create sparks which may ignite
the dust or fumes.
• Do not abuse the DC or AC adaptors. Never use the adaptors to carry the
spotlight. Keep cords away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords may create a fire.
Use and Care
• Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any
other condition that may affect the spotlight’s operation. If damaged, have the
spotlight serviced before using.
• Battery operated spotlights with integral batteries must be recharged only with the
specified charger for the battery. A charger that may be suitable for one type of
battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
Service
• The battery is not intended to be removed from the spotlight by the user.
• Spotlight service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or
maintenance performed by unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.
• When servicing a spotlight, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions
in the maintenance section of this manual. The use of unauthorized parts or failure
to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
• If the power cord is broken, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or authorized
personnel.

2. SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
• Be sure to charge the unit completely before its first use. This will prolong the life of
the Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern.
• Do not turn on the unit in any way while charging. Doing so may damage the
unit and is not covered under warranty. As with all lead-acid cell batteries, when
storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully ever y 3- 6 months to prolong the life of
the battery.
• Though durable and built to last, do not drop the unit excessively as this will greatly
reduce the life of the spotlight.
• Do not submerge the unit under water.
• Lens becomes very hot during operation. Do not touch lens while lens is still hot.
• Do not cover lens during operation.
• Do not shine directly into eyes.
• Turn off the unit and allow it to cool before storage or maintenance.
• When servicing always wear safety glasses when working with hardware.
• Use only supplied chargers.

4. OPERATION
• Spotlight High Setting: Locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite-Nite Spotlight
Lantern and toggle from “O” to “|” position.
• Spotlight Low Setting: Locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite-Nite Spotlight
Lantern and toggle from “O” to “II” position.
• LED lantern: Locate the switch at the base of the lamp next to the charging input
jack. Slide switch to turn on.
Important
Do not turn on lamp in any way while charging. Doing so may damage the unit and is
not covered under warranty. As with all lead-acid cell batteries, when storing, be sure to
recharge the batter y fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the battery.
