Thank you for purchasing the Shiatsu Massage Lumbar Cushion by Wagan Tech. With normal
care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service. Please read all operating
instructions carefully before use.

WARNING—READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before
cleaning.

• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.

• DO NOT use while bathing or in the shower.

• DO NOT place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

• NEVER use pins or other metallic fasteners with this appliance.

• Keep dry—DO NOT operate in a wet or moist environment.

• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when
not in use and before putting on or taking off parts or attachments.

• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance used by, on or near children or disabled
persons.

• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.

• NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.

• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

• NEVER use while sleeping or fall asleep while using the massager.

• NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.

• DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.

• DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire,
electrocution or injury to persons.

• DO NOT carry this appliance by the power cord.

• To disconnect, turn off then remove plug from outlet.

• This appliance is designed for personal, non-professional use only.

• DO NOT use on an infant or disabled person or on a sleeping or unconscious person.

• DO NOT use on insensitive skin or on a person with poor blood circulation.

• DO NOT crush. Avoid sharp folds.

• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using this
product.

• Individuals with pacemakers should consult a doctor before use.

• Never leave the appliance unattended, especially if children are present.

• DO NOT use this product for more than 15 minutes at a time.

• Extensive use could lead to the product’s excessive heating and shorten the product’s life.

• If excessive heating should occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before
operating.

• NEVER use this product directly on swollen or inflamed areas or skin lesions.

• This product is a non-professional appliance designed to provide soothing massage to worn
muscles.

• DO NOT use this product as a substitute for medical attention.

• DO NOT use this product before bed. The massage has a stimulating effect and can delay
sleep.

• NEVER use this product while in bed.

• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment
that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies
in the lower half of their body.

• This unit should not be used by children.

MASSAGER OPERATION

1. Plug into 110 volt outlet.

2. For use in your vehicle, use the DC adaptor provided to plug the massager into the vehicle’s
cigarette lighter socket.

3. To turn on, press the button to the “|” position.

4. To switch rotation direction, press the button to the “||” position.

5. To turn off, press the button to the “O” position

6. When massage is complete, remove the power cord from the outlet.

• DO NOT force any part of your body in between massaging ‘heads’. To eliminate the risk

of injury, only gentle force should be applied against the unit.

• For lower back: DO NOT massage spine. To relieve tension in the lumbar region, place

the massager against a chair with massaging heads facing toward your back. Sit in the
chair and lean back into the massager.

• For shoulders: DO NOT massage spine. To relieve tension in the shoulder region, hold the

massager with “head” facing toward your shoulder. Press it gently against your shoulder.

• For feet: DO NOT stand on the massager. Sit on a chair and gently put your feet on the

massager.

MAINTENANCE

To Clean:

• Before cleaning, remove the power cord from the outlet and allow unit to cool.

• Wipe with a soft cloth. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners.

• Never submerge the unit in any liquid. Keep away from all solvents and harsh detergents.

Storage:

Place massager in a safe, dry and cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed
objects which might cut or puncture the surface. To avoid breakage, DO NOT wrap the
power cord around the unit.

The WAGAN Corp. warranty is limited to products sold only in the United States.
All Wagan Tech products must be registered within (30) days of purchase to activate

its warranty. To register your product, please visit http://tinyurl.com/waganwarranty. Be
sure to keep the original receipt as it will be required when returning a product under
the warranty.

Warranty Duration: This product is warranted to the original purchaser for a period
of one (1) year from the original purchase date, to be free of defects in material and
workmanship. WAGAN Corporation disclaims any liability for consequential damages.
In no event will WAGAN Corporation be responsible for any amount of damages
beyond the amount paid for the product at retail.

Warranty Performance: During the above one (1) year warranty period, a product with
a defect will be replaced with a comparable model when the product is returned to
WAGAN Corporation with an original store receipt. The replacement product will be in
warranty for the balance of the original one (1) year warranty period.

To return a defective item, please contact WAGAN Corporation at [phone] to
obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#), and return instructions.
Each item returned will require a separate RMA#. After you have received the RMA#
and the return instructions from WAGAN Corporation, please follow the instructions and
send the item with PREPAID SHIPPING, along with all of the required documentation, a
complete explanation of the problem, your name, address and daytime phone number.
WAGAN Corporation will, at its option, replace or repair the defective part.

A Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) is REQUIRED when sending
in any defective item. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any item(s) returned
without an official Returned Merchandise Authorization number. The item(s) must be
returned with prepaid shipping. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any
shipping charges incurred in returning the item(s) back to the company for repair or
replacement. This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, in
shipment, unreasonable use, misuse, neglect, improper service, commercial use, repairs
by unauthorized personnel or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or
workmanship. This warranty does not extend to any units which have been used in
violation of written instructions furnished.

Warranty Disclaimers: This warranty is in lieu of all warranties expressed or implied and
no representative or person is authorized to assume any other liability in connection with
the sale of our products. There shall be no claims for defects or failure of performance
or product failure under any theory of tort, contract or commercial law including, but not
limited to negligence, gross negligence, strict liability, breach of warranty and breach
of contract.
