Thank you for purchasing the 2 Million Brite-Nite™ Spotlight Lantern by Wagan Tech.
With normal care and proper treatment, it will provide years of reliable service. It is
important to read and understand all operating instructions and warnings before use.
Introduction
This Spotlight/Lantern is useful for accomplishing a variety of activities. In the field, it
serves as a powerful spotlight. At the campground, the lantern feature is ver y useful as
a bright steady reading light. During tire changes at night, the lantern can light the area
while the Red Flashing Emergency light warns motorists to avoid the area. Two chargers
are included allowing either DC charge from a cigaret te lighter socket or from any AC
socket. The Spotlight Lantern has a wire stand that can be used to aim the spotlight beam
in a convenient position.

Using the Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern
• Spotlight: Simply locate toggle switch on the handle of the Brite- Nite Spotlight
Lantern and toggle from “O” to “|” position.
• Lantern: Simply locate the switch at the base of the lamp next to DC input. Slide
switch to turn on.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Be sure to charge the unit completely before its first use. This will prolong the life of the
Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern.
IMPORTANT
Do not turn on lamp in any way while charging. Doing so may damage the unit and is
not covered under warranty. As with all lead-acid cell batteries, when storing, be sure to
recharge the battery fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the batter y.
AC Charging
Insert the AC charging plug into the charging jack on the base of the lamp, and the
transformer end of the AC adapter into an 110V AC outlet. Make sure the unit is in the
off (O) position before charging. The LED indicator light will go on, indicating that the
spotlight is charging (approximately 15 hours).
DC Charging
Insert the DC charging plug into the charging jack and the cigarette plug end into the
car cigarette socket. Make sure the unit is in the off (O) position before charging. The LED
indicator light will go on indicating that the spotlight is charging (approximately 12 hours).
Replacing the Spotlight Bulb
Halogen Bulb
The 2 million Power Rated Brite- Nite Spotlight Lantern uses a 6V 8W/30W double
filaments halogen bulb. Please go to your local automotive/hardware store for
replacement when bulb has burned out.
NOTE: DO NOT touch the glass of the halogen bulb, as doing so may cause the bulb to
shatter. Please refer to the instructions found on the new bulb for other safety precautions.
Always wear safety glasses when working with hardware.
Simply unscrew the lamp face and carefully change the bulb. The WHITE wire of the
replacement bulb connects to the Brite -Nite’s RED wire; the BLACK wire of the replacement
bulb connects to the Brite -Nite’s BLACK wire. After replacing the halogen bulb, screw on
the lamp face, making sure a tight fit to ensure no water will enter the housing.
Fluorescent Bulb
The 2 Million Brite- Nite™ Spotlight Lantern Lantern uses a 7W fluorescent bulb. Please go
to your local hardware store for the replacement bulb when bulb has burned out.
Simply unscrew the main lamp face of the halogen bulb. Using a Phillips screwdriver,
unscrew the panel inside to take out the fluorescent bulb. Gently pull out the old bulb and
replace with the new fluorescent bulb. After replacing the fluorescent bulb, replace the
screws and screw on the lamp face, making sure a tight fit to ensure no water will enter
the housing.
General Safety Precautions
• Do not turn on light while charging the unit. Doing so will damage the unit and
will void your warranty.
• As with all lead-acid cell bat teries, when storing, be sure to recharge the battery
fully every 3-6 months to prolong the life of the battery.
• Though durable and built to last, do not drop the unit excessively as this will
greatly reduce the life of the unit.
• Though weather resistant, do not submerge the unit.
• Lens becomes very hot during operation.
• Do not cover lens or reflector during operation.
• Do not shine directly into eyes.
• Switch off and allow it to cool before storage or maintenance.
• When servicing always wear safet y glasses when working with hardware.
• Use only supplied chargers.

All electronic equipment contains materials that can damage the environment if not
properly disposed of. Contact your local authorit y for disposal or recycling instructions.
