2.1 Allgemeine Sicherheit

a

z Lassen Sie Installationen in Feuchträumen nur vom Fachmann

verlegen.

z Wenn das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist, dürfen

Sie es nicht in Betrieb nehmen.

z Reparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften

durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.
Wenden Sie sich im Reparaturfall an den WAECO Kunden­dienst.

z Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall den Kühlkreislauf.
z Stellen Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen und gegen Spritz-

wasser geschützten Platz auf.

z Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen

oder anderen Wärmequellen (Heizung, starke Sonneneinstrah­lung, Gasöfen usw.) ab.

z Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsschlitze nicht abgedeckt

werden.

z Das Gerät ist nicht geeignet für den Lagerung ätzender oder

lösungsmittelhaltiger Stoffe!

z Nur für Schiffe mit einer Länge von über 20 m geeignet.

z Kontrollieren Sie vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes, ob die

Betriebsspannung und die Batteriespannung übereinstimmen
(siehe Typenschild).

z Lebensgefahr!

Beim Einsatz auf Booten: Sorgen Sie bei Netzbetrieb unbe-

dingt dafür, dass Ihre Stromversorgung über einen FI-Schalter
abgesichert ist!

z Wenn das Anschlusskabel beschädigt ist, müssen Sie es erset-

zen, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden. Tauschen Sie ein be­schädigtes Anschlusskabel nur gegen ein Anschlusskabel
gleicher Art und Spezifikation aus.

z Personen, die aufgrund ihrer physischen, sensorischen oder

geistigen Fähigkeiten oder ihrer Unerfahrenheit oder Unkennt­nis nicht in der Lage sind, den Kühlschrank sicher zu benutzen,
sollten dieses Gerät nicht ohne Aufsicht oder Anweisung durch
eine verantwortliche Person nutzen.

2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Gerätes

a

z Elektrogeräte sind kein Kinderspielzeug!

Verwahren und benutzen Sie das Gerät außerhalb der Reich­weite von Kindern.

z Tauen Sie das Gerät rechtzeitig ab, um Energie zu sparen.
z Wenn Sie das Gerät an eine Batterie anschließen, stellen Sie

sicher, dass Lebensmittel nicht mit Batteriesäure in Berührung
kommen.

z Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Regen und Feuchtigkeit.

e

z Klemmen Sie das Gerät und andere Verbraucher von der

Batterie ab, bevor Sie die Batterie mit einem Schnellladegerät
aufladen.
Überspannungen können die Elektronik der Geräte beschädi­gen.

z Hinweis:

Klemmen Sie das Gerät ab, wenn Sie es lange nicht brauchen.

z Lebensgefahr!

Fassen Sie nie mit bloßen Händen an blanke Leitungen. Dies

4 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Der Kühlschrank eignet sich zum Kühlen und Tiefkühlen von
Lebensmitteln. Das Gerät ist auch für den Betrieb auf Booten
geeignet.

Falls Sie Medikamente kühlen wollen, überprüfen Sie bitte, ob die Kühl­leistung des Gerätes den Anforderungen der jeweiligen Arzneimittel ent­spricht.

5 Technische Beschreibung

Der CoolMatic Kühlschrank CRP-40 ist geeignet für den Einsatz an einer
Gleichspannung von 12 V oder 24 V und kann somit z. B. auch beim
Camping oder auf Booten eingesetzt werden. Außerdem kann er über den
WAECO Gleichrichter MPS-35 an ein 230-V-Netz angeschlossen werden.

Beim Einsatz auf Booten kann der Kühlschrank einer Dauer-Krängung von
30° ausgesetzt werden.

Der Kühlschrank kann Waren abkühlen und kühl halten. Im Gefrierfach
können Waren tiefgekühlt werden.

Alle im Kühlschrank verwendeten Materialien sind unbedenklich für Lebens­mittel. Der Kühlkreislauf ist wartungs- und FCKW-frei.

Über einen Thermostat kann die gewünschte Temperatur stufenlos einge­stellt werden.

Das Gerät ist mit einem abnehmbaren und separat montierbaren Aggregat
ausgestattet (Abb. 2, Seite 3).

Sicherheitshinweise zur Installation auf Booten

Bitte beachten Sie speziell bei der Installation auf Booten folgende
Hinweise:

– Das Gerät ist für eine Krängung von bis zu 30° ausgelegt.

Beachten Sie beim Aufstellen des Kühlschrankes, dass das
Gerät für diese Gegebenheiten gesichert sein muss. Wenden
Sie sich bei Fragen zur Installation an einen ausgewiesenen
Fachbetrieb.

– Stellen Sie den Kühlschrank so auf, dass die erwärmte Luft gut

abziehen kann (entweder nach oben oder zu den Seiten,
Abb. 4, Seite 4).

– Das Gerät ist für Umgebungstemperaturen zwischen +18 °C

und +43 °C vorgesehen.

– Sorgen Sie bei Netzbetrieb unbedingt dafür, dass Ihre Strom-

versorgung über einen FI-Schalter abgesichert ist!

– Beachten Sie auch alle weitergehenden Installationshinweise in

diesem Kapitel.

6.1 Kühlschrank aufstellen

Im Dauerbetrieb darf die Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht über 90 % liegen.
Stellen Sie das Gefriergerät an einem trockenen, geschützten Platz auf. Ver-

meiden Sie das Aufstellen neben Wärmequellen wie Heizungen, Gasöfen,
Warmwasserleitungen etc. Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht in der prallen Sonne
stehen.

Das Gefriergerät muss so stehen, dass die erwärmte Luft gut abziehen kann.
Stellen Sie daher eine ausreichende Belüftung sicher (Abb. 4, Seite 4).

Hinweis

Das Kühlaggregat ist abnehmbar und kann bei Platzproblemen bis
zu 1,5 m entfernt von der Kühlbox montiert werden.

6.2 Verriegelung lösen

Der Kühlschrank verfügt über einen Verriegelungsmechanismus (Abb. 5 1,
Seite 5), der auch als Transportsicherung dient. Folgende Einstellungen sind
möglich:

a

Achtung!

Verstellen Sie den Verriegelungsmechanismus nur bei geöffneter
Tür. Bei Nutzung bei geschlossener Tür wird das Gerät beschädigt.

z Normale Verriegelung (Rad bis zum Anschlag nach rechts drehen): Die

Tür ist geschlossen und gesichert.
Um die Tür zu öffnen, ziehen Sie den Türgriff nach oben und öffnen die
Tür.

z Vent (Rad bis zum Anschlag nach links drehen): Die Tür ist leicht geöff-

net, aber fixiert.
Nutzen Sie diese Position, wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit außer Betrieb
nehmen.

6.3 Türanschlag ändern

Sie können den Anschlag der Tür ändern, so dass die Tür nach links statt
nach rechts aufschwingt.

➤ Gehen Sie vor, wie in Abb. 6, Seite 5 bis Abb. 8, Seite 6 gezeigt, um

den Türanschlag zu ändern.

6.4 An eine Batterie anschließen

Der Kühlschrank kann mit 12 V oder mit 24 V Gleichspannung betrieben
werden.

Achtung!

Um Spannungs- und Leistungsverluste zu vermeiden, sollte das
Kabel möglichst kurz und nicht unterbrochen sein.
Vermeiden Sie deshalb zusätzliche Schalter, Stecker oder
Verteilerdosen.

➤ Bestimmen Sie den notwendigen Querschnitt des Kabels in Abhängigkeit

von der Kabellänge gemäß Abb. 9 , Seite 6.

Achtung!

Beachten Sie die richtige Polarität.

➤ Kontrollieren Sie vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes, ob die Betriebs-

spannung und die Batteriespannung übereinstimmen (siehe Typen­schild).

➤ Für den elektrischen Anschluss beachten Sie auch den Anschlussplan

(Abb. 0, Seite 7).

➤ Schließen Sie Ihren Kühlschrank (Abb. a, Seite 7)

– möglichst direkt an die Pole der Batterie an oder
– an einen Steckplatz an, der mit mindestens 15 A (bei 12 V) bzw. 7,5 A

(bei 24 V) abgesichert ist.

Achtung!

Klemmen Sie das Gerät und andere Verbraucher von der Batterie
ab, bevor Sie die Batterie mit einem Schnellladegerät aufladen.
Überspannungen können die Elektronik der Geräte beschädigen.

Zur Sicherheit ist der Kühlschrank mit einem elektronischen Verpolungs­schutz ausgestattet, der den Kühlschrank gegen Verpolung beim Batterie­anschluss und gegen Kurzschluss schützt. Zum Schutz der Batterie schaltet
sich der Kühlschrank automatisch ab, wenn die Spannung nicht mehr aus­reicht (siehe folgende Tabelle).

6.5 An ein 230-V-Netz anschließen

Lebensgefahr!

Hantieren Sie nie mit Steckern und Schaltern, wenn Sie nasse
Hände haben oder mit den Füßen in der Nässe stehen.

e

Achtung!

Wenn Sie Ihr Gefriergerät an Bord eines Bootes per Landan­schluss am 230-V-Netz betreiben, müssen Sie auf jeden Fall einen
FI-Schutzschalter zwischen 230-V-Netz und Gefriergerät schalten.
Lassen Sie sich von einem Fachmann beraten.

➤ Um den Kühlschrank am 230-V-Netz zu betreiben, verwenden Sie den

WAECO Gleichrichter MPS-35.

Hinweis

Bevor Sie den neuen Kühlschrank in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie
ihn aus hygienischen Gründen innen und außen mit einem feuch­ten Tuch reinigen (siehe auch Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ auf
Seite 20).

7.1 Tipps zum Energiesparen

z Wählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützten

Einsatzort.

z Lassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor Sie sie einlagern.
z Öffnen Sie den Kühlschrank nicht häufiger als nötig.
z Lassen Sie die Tür nicht länger offen stehen als nötig.
z Tauen Sie den Kühlschrank ab, sobald sich eine Eisschicht gebildet hat.
z Vermeiden Sie eine unnötig tiefe Innentemperatur.
z Befreien Sie den Kondensator in regelmäßigen Abständen von Staub und

Verunreinigungen.

7.2 Kühlschrank benutzen

Der Kühlschrank ermöglicht die Konservierung von frischen Nahrungs­mitteln. Außerdem können Sie im Gefrierfach tiefgekühlte Lebensmittel
konservieren und frische Nahrungsmittel einfrieren.

Achtung!

Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie Getränke oder Speisen in Glas­behältern nicht zu stark abkühlen.
Beim Gefrieren dehnen sich Getränke oder flüssige Speisen aus.
Dadurch können die Glasbehälter zerstört werden.

a

Achtung!

Lebensmittel dürfen nur in Originalverpackungen oder geeigneten
Behältern eingelagert werden.

➤ Schalten Sie den Kühlschrank ein, indem Sie den Regler (Abb. 3 1,

Seite 4) nach rechts drehen.

Hinweis

Nach dem Einschalten benötigt der Kühlschrank etwa 60 s, bis der
Kompressor anläuft.

a

Achtung!

Achten Sie darauf, dass sich nur Gegenstände bzw. Waren im
Kühlschrank befinden, die auf die gewählte Temperatur gekühlt
werden dürfen.

Temperatur einstellen

Sie können die Temperatur stufenlos über den Regler einstellen. Der inte­grierte Thermostat reguliert die Temperatur folgendermaßen:

z min. (Linksanschlag) = wärmste Einstellung
z max. (Rechtsanschlag) = kälteste Einstellung

Hinweis

Die Kühlleistung kann beeinflusst werden von

– der Umgebungstemperatur,
– der Menge der zu konservierenden Lebensmittel,
– der Häufigkeit der Türöffnungen.

Lebensmittel konservieren

Sie können im Kühlfach Lebensmittel konservieren. Die Konservierungszeit
der Lebensmittel ist normalerweise auf der Packung angegeben.

a

Achtung!

Konservieren Sie keine warmen Lebensmittel im Kühlfach.
Stellen Sie keine Glasbehälter mit Flüssigkeiten in das Gefrierfach.

Hinweis

Konservieren Sie Lebensmittel, die leicht Gerüche und
Geschmäcke aufnehmen, sowie Flüssigkeiten und Produkte mit
hohem Alkoholgehalt in dichten Behältern.

Das Kühlfach unterteilt sich in verschiedene Zonen, die unterschiedliche
Temperaturen aufweisen:

z Die kälteren Zonen befinden sich unmittelbar über den Schubladen für

Obst und Gemüse, nahe der Rückwand.

z Beachten Sie Temperatur- und Halbarkeitsangaben auf den Verpackun-

gen Ihrer Lebensmittel.

➤ Beachten Sie folgende Hinweise beim Konservieren:
z Frieren Sie Produkte, die gerade auftauen oder aufgetaut wurden,

keinesfalls wieder ein, sondern brauchen Sie diese baldmöglichst auf.

z Wickeln Sie die Lebensmittel in Aluminium- bzw. Polyäthylenfolien und

schließen Sie sie in entsprechende Behälter mit Deckel. Dadurch werden
die Aromen, die Substanz und die Frische besser konserviert.

Kühlschrank abtauen

Luftfeuchtigkeit kann sich am Verdampfer oder im Innenraum des Kühl­schranks als Reif niederschlagen, der die Kühlleistung verringert. Tauen Sie
das Gerät rechtzeitig ab.

a

Achtung!

Verwenden Sie nie harte oder spitze Werkzeuge zum Entfernen
von Eisschichten oder zum Lösen festgefrorener Gegenstände.

Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um den Kühlschrank abzutauen:

➤ Nehmen Sie das Kühlgut heraus.
➤ Lagern Sie es ggf. in einem anderen Gefriergerät, damit es kalt bleibt.
➤ Stellen Sie den Regler auf „0“.
➤ Lassen Sie die Tür offen.
➤ Wischen Sie das Tauwasser auf oder – falls vorhanden – leeren Sie die

Auffangschale. Falls ihr Gerät über einen Tauwasserablauf verfügt, las­sen Sie das Tauwasser darüber ablaufen.

Kühlschrank ausschalten und stilllegen

Wenn Sie den Kühlschrank für längere Zeit stilllegen wollen, gehen Sie wie
folgt vor:

➤ Drehen Sie den Regler auf Stufe „0“.
➤ Klemmen Sie die Anschlusskabel von der Batterie ab oder ziehen Sie den

Stecker der Gleichstromleitung aus dem Gleichrichter.

➤ Reinigen Sie den Kühlschrank (siehe Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ auf

Seite 20).

➤ Stellen Sie die Verriegelung auf „VENT“-Stellung.

So verhindern Sie, dass sich Gerüche bilden.

Kühlschranktür sichern

Sie können die Kühlschranktür z. B. gegen unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen sichern.
➤ Stellen Sie den Verriegelungsmechnismus an der Türoberseite auf Posi-

tion 1 (Abb. 5 1, Seite 5).

8 Reinigung und Pflege

Achtung!

Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keine scharfen Reinigungsmittel
oder harten Gegenstände, da diese den Kühlschrank beschädigen
können.

a

Achtung!

Verwenden Sie nie harte oder spitze Werkzeuge zum Entfernen
von Eisschichten oder zum Lösen festgefrorener Gegenstände.

➤ Reinigen Sie den Kühlschrank regelmäßig und sobald er verschmutzt ist

mit einem feuchten Tuch.

➤ Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in die Dichtungen tropft. Dies kann

die Elektronik beschädigen.

➤ Wischen Sie den Kühlschrank nach dem Reinigen mit einem Tuch

trocken.

2.1 General safety

When using the device on boats: If the appliance is powered

by the mains, ensure that the power supply has a residual cur­rent circuit breaker.

z If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced to prevent possible

electrical hazards. Only replace a damaged cable with one of
the same type and specifications.

z Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge prevent them
from using the refrigerator safely should not use this appliance
without initial supervision or instruction by a responsible person.

2.2 Operating the appliance safely

3 Scope of delivery

3.1 Accessories

4 Intended use

The refrigerator is designed for cooling and freezing foodstuffs. The
appliance is also suitable for use on boats.

If you wish to cool medicines, please check if the cooling capacity of the ap­pliance is suitable for the medicine in question.

5 Technical description

The CoolMatic CRP-40 refrigerator is suitable for use with a 12 V or 24 V DC
voltage and can therefore also be used for camping or on boats. It can also
be connected to a 230 V mains supply via the WAECO MPS-35 rectifier.

When used on boats the refrigerator can be subjected to a constant inclina­tion of 30°.

The refrigerator can chill products and keep them cool. Products can be
deep-frozen in the freezer compartment.

All materials used in the refrigerator are compatible for use with foodstuffs.
The refrigerant circuit is maintenance-free and CFC-free.

You can use the continuously variable thermostat to set the desired temper­ature.

The device is fitted with a detachable unit which can be separately installed
(fig. 2, page 3).

Safety instructions for installation on boats

Please note the following instructions for installation on boats:

– The device can be tilted sideways up to 30°. When setting up

the refrigerator, note that it must be fastened to take account of
this. If you have any questions regarding installation, consult
your specialist dealer.

– Install the refrigerator so that the warm air produced can easily

flow away (either upwards or to the sides, fig. 4, page 4).

– The appliance is designed for ambient temperatures between

+18 °C and +43 °C.

– If the appliance is powered by the mains, ensure that the power

supply has a residual current circuit breaker.

– Observe all the other installation instructions in this section.

6.1 Installing the refrigerator

In continuous operation, the air humidity may not exceed 90%.
Set up the fridge in a dry, sheltered place. Avoid placing it near heat sources

such as radiators, gas ovens or hot water pipes. Do not let it stand in direct,
strong sunlight.

The cooling device must be positioned so that heated air can dissipate easily.
Therefore make sure there is adequate ventilation (fig. 4, page 4).

Note

The cooling unit is detachable mad can be installed up to

1.5 metres away from the cooler if there is limited space.

6.2 Releasing the lock

The refrigerator has a locking mechanism (fig. 5 1, page 5) which is also
used to protect it during transport. The following settings are possible:

a

Caution!

Only adjust the locking mechanism when the door is open. If you
use it with the door closed, you will damage the device.

z Normal lock (turn wheel clockwise to the end stop): the door is locked

and secured.
To open the door, lift the handle up and open the door.

z Vent (turn wheel anti-clockwise to the end stop): The door is slightly open

and fixed in place.
Use this position, if you are not going to use the appliance for a long time.

6.3 Changing the door hinge

You can also change the hinge of the door, so that it opens to the left rather
than the right.

➤ Proceed as shown in fig. 6, page 5 to fig. 8, page 6, to change the

hinges.

6.4 Connecting to a battery

The refrigerator can be operated with a 12 V to 24 V DC voltage supply.

e

Caution!

To prevent voltage and power losses, the cable should be as short
as possible and not be interrupted.
For this reason avoid additional switches, plugs or socket strips.

➤ Determine the required cross section of the cable in relation to the cable

length according to fig. 9, page 6.

Caution!

Make sure that the polarity is correct.

z Before starting up the appliance for the first time, check whether the op-

erating voltage and the battery voltage match (see type plate).

➤ For the electrical connection you also need the wiring diagram (fig. 0,

page 7).

➤ Connect the refrigerator (fig. a, page 7)

– as directly as possible to the poles of the battery or
– to a plug socket which is fuse protected with at least 15 A (at 12 V) or

For safety reasons the refrigerator is equipped with an electronic system to
prevent the polarity being reversed. This protects the refrigerator against re­versed polarity when connecting to a battery and against short circuiting. To
protect the battery, the refrigerator switches off automatically if the voltage is
insufficient (see table below).

6.5 Connecting to a 230 V mains supply

Danger of fatal injuries!

Never handle plugs and switches with wet hands or if you are
standing on a wet surface.

Caution!

If you are operating your cooling device on board a boat with a
mains connection of 230 V from the land, you must install a residual
current circuit breaker between the 230 V mains supply and the
cooling device.
Get advice from a qualified specialist.

➤ To operate the refrigerator on the 230 V mains, use the WAECO MPS-35

rectifier.

Note

Before starting your new refrigerator for the first time, you should
clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons
(please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on
page 34).

7.1 Energy saving tips

z Choose a well ventilated location which is protected from direct sunlight.
z Allow hot food to cool down first before you place it into the device.
z Do not open the refrigerator more often than necessary.
z Do not leave the door open for longer than necessary.
z Defrost your refrigerator as soon as a layer of ice forms.
z Avoid unnecessarily low temperature settings.
z Clean dust and dirt from the condenser at regular intervals.

7.2 Using the refrigerator

The fridge conserves fresh foodstuffs. The freezer compartment conserves
frozen foodstuffs and freezes fresh foodstuffs.

Caution!

Make sure that drinks or foodstuffs in glass containers are not
cooled too severely.
Drinks and liquids expand when they freeze. This can break the
glass containers.

Caution!

Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable con­tainers.

➤ Switch the refrigerator on by turning the knob (fig. 3 1, page 4) to the

right.

Note

After switching on, the refrigerator requires approx. 60 s until the
compressor starts up.

Caution!

Ensure that the objects placed in the refrigerator are suitable for
cooling to the selected temperature.

Setting the temperature

You can set the temperature to any level using the knob. The built-in thermo­stat regulates the temperature as follows:

z Min. (left limit) = warmest setting
z Max. (right limit) = coldest setting

Note

The cooling capacity can be influenced by:

– The ambient temperature
– The amount of food to be conserved
– The frequency with which the door is opened.

Conserving foodstuffs

You can conserve foodstuffs in the refrigerator. The time for which the food
can be conserved in this way is usually stated on the package.

Caution!

Do not conserve any warm foodstuffs in the refrigerator.
Do not place glass containers with liquids in the freezer compart­ments.

Note

Food which can easily absorb tastes and odours and liquids and
products with a high alcohol content should be conserved in air­tight containers.

The refrigerator is divided in different zones with different temperatures:
z The colder zones are immediately above the drawers for fruit and vegeta-

bles, near the back wall.

z Observe the temperature information and best before date on the food

packaging.

➤ Observe the following when using the refrigerator:
z Never re-freeze products which have started defrosting or have been de-

frosted; consume them as soon as possible.

z Wrap food in aluminium foil or cling film and shut in in a suitable box with

a lid. This ensures that aromas, the shape and the freshness will be better
conserved.

Defrosting the refrigerator

Humidity can form frost in the interior of the refrigerator or on the vaporiser.
This reduces the cooling capacity. Defrost the device in good time to avoid
this.

Caution!

Never use hard or pointed tools to remove ice or to loosen objects
which have frozen in place.

This is how to defrost the refrigerator:

➤ Take the contents out.
➤ If necessary, put them in another cooling appliance.
➤ Set the knob to “0”.
➤ Leave the door open.
➤ Wipe off the water resulting from defrosting or – if present – empty the col-

lecting tray. If your device has a water drain, drain the thawed water off.

Switching off and storing the refrigerator

If you do not intend to use the refrigerator for a long time, proceed as follows:

➤ Set the knob to level “0”.
➤ Disconnect the power cable from the battery or pull the DC cable plug out

of the rectifier.

➤ Clean the refrigerator (see chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on

page 34).

➤ Set the lock to the “VENT” position.

This prevents odours from forming.

Securing the refrigerator door

You can prevent the refrigerator door from being opened inadvertently.
➤ Put the locking mechanism on the top of the door to position 1

(fig. 5 1, page 5).

8 Cleaning and maintenance

Caution!

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects for cleaning as
these can damage the refrigerator.

Caution!

Never use hard or pointed tools to remove ice or to loosen objects
which have frozen in place.

➤ As soon as the refrigerator becomes dirty, clean it with a damp cloth.

➤ Make sure that no water drips into the seals. This can damage the elec-

tronics.

➤ Wipe the refrigerator dry with a cloth after cleaning.

9 Guarantee

The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please
return it to the WAECO location in your country (see the back of the
instruction manual for the address) or to your dealer. For repair and
guarantee processing, please include the following documents when you
send in the device:

z A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
z A reason for the claim or description of the fault

10 Disposal

– Take off doors
– Leave the shelves in place so that the children may not easily

➤ If possible, always take the packaging material for recycling.

WAECO International décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages cau­sés par :

z des influences mécaniques et des surtensions ayant endommagé le ma-

tériel ;

z des modifications apportées à l'appareil sans autorisation explicite de la

part de WAECO International ;

z une utilisation différente de celle décrite dans la notice.

2.1 Sécurité générale

a

z Seul un spécialiste doit procéder à l'installation dans des en-

droits humides.

z Si l'appareil présente des dégâts visibles, il est interdit de le

mettre en service.

z Seul un personnel qualifié est habilité à effectuer des répara-

tions sur l'appareil. Toute réparation mal effectuée risque d'en­traîner de graves dangers.
Si des réparations sont nécessaires, adressez-vous au service
après-vente WAECO.

z N'ouvrez jamais le circuit frigorifique.
z Installez l'appareil dans un endroit sec et à l'abri des éclabous-

sures d'eau.

z Ne placez pas l'appareil près de flammes ou d'autres sources

de chaleur (chauffage, rayons solaires, fours à gaz, etc.).

z Assurez-vous que les fentes d'aération ne sont pas recouver-

tes.

z L'appareil ne convient pas pour le stockage de produits causti-

ques ou de solvants.

service et celle de de la batterie correspondent (cf. plaque si­gnalétique).

En cas d'utilisation sur des bateaux : veillez à ce que votre

alimentation électrique soit sécurisée par un disjoncteur diffé­rentiel si l'appareil est branché sur le secteur.

z Si le câble de raccordement est endommagé, vous devez le

remplacer afin d'éviter tout danger. Le câble de raccordement
neuf qui va remplacer celui qui est endommagé doit être de
même type et de même spécification.

z Les personnes qui ne sont pas en mesure d'utiliser le réfrigéra-

teur en toute sécurité – que ce soit en raison de déficiences phy­siques, sensorielles ou mentales ou bien par manque
d'expérience ou de connaissances – ne sont pas autorisées à
le faire sans surveillance.

2.2 Consignes de sécurité concernant le fonctionne­ment de l'appareil

z Les appareils électriques ne sont pas des jouets pour enfants.

Placez et utilisez l'appareil hors de leur portée.

z Dégivrez l'appareil en temps utile, afin d'économiser de l'éner-

Le réfrigérateur est conçu pour la réfrigération et la congélation
d'aliments. L'appareil convient également pour une exploitation sur
bateaux.

Si vous souhaitez conserver au frais des médicaments, nous vous prions de
vérifier si la puissance frigorifique de l'appareil correspond à la température
de conservation recommandée pour les médicaments concernés.

5 Description technique

Le réfrigérateur CoolMatic CRP-40 convient pour une exploitation avec une
tension continue de 12 ou 24 V, il convient donc pour le camping ou une ex­ploitation sur bateau. De plus, le redresseur WAECO MPS-35 permet de le
raccorder à la tension 230 V du secteur.

En cas d'utilisation sur les bateaux, le réfrigérateur peut supporter un angle
de gîte permanent de 30°.

Le réfrigérateur permet de réfrigérer et tenir au frais des denrées alimen­taires. Dans le compartiment congélateur, il est possible de congeler des
produits.

Tous les matériaux utilisés lors de la construction du réfrigérateur n'altèrent
pas la qualité des aliments. Le circuit de refroidissement ne contient pas de
CFC et ne requiert pas d'entretien.

Un thermostat permet de sélectionner la température désirée.
L'appareil est équipé d'un module amovible et montable séparément (fig. 2,

page 3).

5.1 Eléments de commande

Consignes de sécurité relatives à l'installation sur bateaux

Concernant l'installation sur bateaux, veuillez observer les consi­gnes spéciales suivantes :

– la conception de l'appareil correspond à un angle de gîte maxi-

mal de 30°. Veillez lors de l'installation du réfrigérateur à ce que
sa fixation soit adaptée à ces conditions. Consultez un profes­sionnel pour toutes questions relatives à l'installation ;

– installez le réfrigérateur de manière à ce que l'air chaud puisse

bien s'échapper (soit par le haut, soit par les côtés, fig. 4,
page 4) ;

– cet appareil convient pour des températures ambiantes de

+18 °C à +43 °C ;

– veillez à ce que votre alimentation électrique soit sécurisée par

un disjoncteur différentiel si l'appareil est branché sur le
secteur ;

– observez toutes les autres consignes d'installation de ce

chapitre.

6.1 Installation du réfrigérateur

S'il fonctionne de manière continue, l'humidité de l'air ne doit pas dépasser
90 %.

Installez l'appareil dans un endroit sec et protégé. Évitez de placer l'appareil
à proximité de sources de chaleur comme des radiateurs, des fours à gaz,
des conduites d'eau chaude, etc. Ne laissez pas l'appareil en plein soleil.

Le réfrigérateur doit être installé de manière à ce que l'air réchauffé
puisse être facilement évacué. Veillez à ce que la ventilation soit suffisante
(fig. 4, page 4).

Remarque

Le groupe frigorifique est amovible et peut, en cas de problème de
place, être monté à une distance pouvant aller jusqu'à 1,5 m de la
glacière.

6.2 Déverrouillage

Le réfrigérateur dispose d'un mécanisme de verrouillage (fig. 5 1, page 5)
servant également de protection de transport. Les réglages suivants sont
possibles :

Attention !

Changez le mécanisme de verrouillage uniquement lorsque la por­te est ouverte. Une exploitation avec la porte fermée entraînera
l'endommagement de l'appareil.

z Verrouillage normal (tourner la mollette à fond vers la droite) : la porte

est fermée et bloquée.
Pour ouvrir la porte, tirez la poignée vers le haut et ouvrez la porte.

z Vent (tourner la mollette à fond vers la gauche) : la porte est légèrement

ouverte mais toutefois bloquée.
Réglez cette position si vous devez éteindre l'appareil pour une durée
prolongée.

6.3 Modification du côté d'ouverture de la porte

Vous pouvez modifier le côté d'ouverture de la porte de sorte que la porte
s'ouvre vers la gauche plutôt que vers la droite.

➤ Procédez comme le montrent les illustrations fig. 6, page 5 à fig. 8,

page 6 pour modifier le côté d'ouverture de la porte.

6.4 Raccordement à une batterie

Le réfrigérateur s'exploite sur une tension continue de 12 ou 24 V.

Attention !

Pour éviter des pertes de tension et de puissance frigorifique, le câ­ble doit être le plus court possible et ne peut être interrompu.
Evitez donc de placer des interrupteurs, des connecteurs ou des
distributeurs supplémentaires.

➤ A l'aide de fig. 9, page 6, déterminez la section nécessaire du câble en

fonction de sa longueur.

➤ Raccordez votre réfrigérateur (fig. a, page 7)

– en effectuant un branchement si possible direct aux pôles de la batte-

rie ou

– à une prise femelle protégée par un fusible d'au moins 15 A (pour une

tension de 12 V) ou 7,5 A (pour une tension de 24 V).

Attention !

Débranchez l'appareil et les autres consommateurs d'énergie de la
batterie avant de recharger la batterie avec un chargeur rapide.
Les surtensions présentent des risques d'endommagement des
composants électroniques des appareils.

Pour des raisons de sécurité, le réfrigérateur est équipé d'une protection
électronique contre les inversions de polarité en cas de raccordement à une
batterie et contre les court-circuits. Pour protéger la batterie, le réfrigérateur
s'éteint automatiquement lorsque la tension n'est plus suffisante (cf. tableau
suivant).

6.5 Raccordement à une tension du secteur de 230 V

Danger de mort

Ne manipulez pas de prises mâles ou d'interrupteurs lorsque vous
avez les mains mouillées ou les pieds dans l'eau.

Attention !

Si vous raccordez votre réfrigérateur à bord d'un bateau à la ten­sion 230 V du secteur par l'intermédiaire d'une prise de quai, vous
devez dans tous les cas brancher un disjoncteur différentiel entre
le secteur 230 V et le réfrigérateur.
Veuillez vous renseigner auprès d'un spécialiste.

➤ Pour exploiter le réfrigérateur sous une tension secteur de 230 V, utilisez

le redresseur WAECO MPS-35.

Remarque

Avant de mettre en service votre nouveau réfrigérateur, vous de­vez, pour des raisons d’hygiène, le nettoyer à l'intérieur et à l'exté­rieur à l’aide d'un tissu humide (cf. également chapitre « Entretien
et nettoyage », page 51).

7.1 Comment économiser de l'énergie ?

z Choisissez un emplacement bien aéré et à l'abri du soleil.
z Laissez refroidir les aliments chauds avant de les mettre dans le réfrigé-

rateur.

z N'ouvrez pas le réfrigérateur plus souvent que nécessaire.
z Ne laissez pas la porte ouverte plus longtemps que nécessaire.
z Dégivrez le réfrigérateur dès qu'une couche de glace s'est formée.
z Evitez une température intérieure inutilement basse.
z Nettoyez régulièrement le condensateur pour enlever la poussière et les

salissures.

7.2 Exploitation du réfrigérateur

Le réfrigérateur permet la conservation des aliments frais. De plus, vous pou­vez conserver des aliments congelés dans le compartiment congélateur ou
y congeler des aliments frais.

a

Attention !

Veillez à ce que les boissons ou aliments placés dans des conte­nants en verre ne soient pas soumis à des températures trop
basses.
En gelant, les boissons et aliments liquides augmentent de volume.
Les récipients en verre risquent alors de se casser.

a

Attention !

Les produits alimentaires doivent être conservés dans leurs embal­lages originaux ou dans des récipients appropriés.

➤ Allumez le réfrigérateur en tournant le régulateur (fig. 3 1, page 4) vers

la droite.

Remarque

Après la mise en marche, le réfrigérateur a besoin d'environ 60 s
avant que le compresseur ne se mette en marche.

Attention !

Veillez à ne déposer dans le réfrigérateur que des objets ou des ali­ments qui peuvent être réfrigérés ou congelés à la température sé­lectionnée.

Réglage de la température

Vous pouvez régler la température continuellement à l'aide du régulateur. Le
thermostat intégré régule la température comme suit :

z min. (vers la gauche) = plus haute température de réglage ;
z max. (vers la droite) = plus basse température de réglage.

Remarque

La puissance frigorifique peut être influencée par

– la température ambiante,
– la quantité des aliments à conserver,
– la fréquence de l'ouverture de la porte.

Conservation des aliments

Vous pouvez conserver des aliments dans le réfrigérateur. Normalement, la
durée de conservation des aliments est indiquée sur l'emballage.

a

Attention !

Ne conservez pas d'aliments chauds dans le réfrigérateur.
Ne placez pas de récipients en verre remplis de liquides dans le
compartiment congélateur.

Remarque

Conservez les aliments qui ont tendance à absorber les odeurs et
les arômes, ainsi que les liquides et les produits à forte teneur en
alcool dans des conteneurs hermétiques.

Le compartiment congélateur se répartit en plusieurs zones qui présentent
différentes températures :

z les zones les plus froides se trouvent directement au-dessus du bac à lé-

gumes, près de la paroi arrière ;

z respectez les indications relatives à la température et à la péremption fi-

gurant sur les emballages des aliments.

➤ Observez les consignes suivantes en ce qui concerne la conservation :

z ne recongelez jamais un produit décongelé, consommez-le au plus vite ;
z enveloppez les aliments dans une feuille d'aluminium ou un film plastique

et placez-les dans un récipient à couvercle. De cette façon, les arômes,
la substance et la fraîcheur se conservent mieux.

Dégivrage du réfrigérateur

L'humidité de l'air peut se condenser sous forme de givre au niveau de l'éva­porateur ou à l'intérieur du réfrigérateur et diminuer ainsi sa puissance frigo­rifique. Veillez donc à dégivrer l'appareil à temps.

a

Attention !

N'utilisez jamais d'outils durs ou pointus pour enlever les couches
de glace ou pour détacher des objets pris dans le givre.

Procédez de la manière suivante pour dégivrer le réfrigérateur :

➤ retirez les aliments ;
➤ placez-les éventuellement dans un autre réfrigérateur pour qu'ils restent

froids ;

➤ mettez le régulateur sur « 0 » ;
➤ laissez la porte ouverte ;
➤ essuyez l'eau provenant du dégivrage ou videz le le bac de récupération

s'il est disponible. Si votre appareil est équipé d'un dispositif d'écoulement
pour l'eau de dégivrage, laissez l'eau s'écouler par celui-ci.

Arrêt et mise hors service du réfrigérateur

Lorsque vous voulez mettre le réfrigérateur hors service pendant une pério­de prolongée, procédez de la façon suivante :

➤ positionnez le régulateur sur le niveau « 0 » ;
➤ débranchez le câble de raccordement de la batterie ou débranchez la pri-

se de la ligne de courant continu en la retirant du redresseur ;

➤ nettoyez le réfrigérateur (cf. chapitre « Entretien et nettoyage »,

page 51) ;

➤ réglez le verrouillage sur la position « VENT »,

cela empêche la formation d'odeurs.

Sécurisation de la porte du réfrigérateur

Vous pouvez sécuriser la porte du réfrigérateur, par ex. contre une ouverture
involontaire.

➤ Réglez le mécanisme de verrouillage situé sur la partie supérieure de la

porte sur la position 1 (fig. 5 1, page 5).

8 Entretien et nettoyage

Attention !

N'utilisez ni détergents abrasifs ni objets durs pour le nettoyage,
ceux-ci pouvant endommager le réfrigérateur.

a

Attention !

N'utilisez jamais d'outils durs ou pointus pour enlever les couches
de glace ou pour détacher des objets pris dans le givre.

➤ Nettoyez le réfrigérateur régulièrement et dès qu'il est sale, avec un

chiffon humide.

➤ Veillez à ce que de l'eau ne goutte pas sur les joints. Cela risque d'endom-

mager les composants électroniques.

➤ Essuyez le réfrigérateur avec un chiffon après l'avoir nettoyé.

9 Garantie

Le délai légal de garantie s'applique. Si le produit est défectueux, veuillez
l'envoyer à la succursale WAECO de votre pays (voir adresses au verso de
ce manuel) ou à votre revendeur spécialisé. Veuillez y joindre les documents
suivants pour la gestion des réparations et de la garantie :

z une copie de la facture avec la date d'achat ;
z le motif de la réclamation ou une description du dysfonctionnement.

Avant d'éliminer votre ancien réfrigérateur :

– Enlevez les portes de leurs gonds
– Laissez les étagères dans le réfrigérateur, afin que les enfants

ne puissent pas entrer dedans.

➤ Jetez les emballages dans les conteneurs de déchets recyclables prévus

à cet effet.

Lorsque vous mettrez votre appareil définitivement hors service, in­formez-vous auprès du centre de recyclage le plus proche ou auprès

2.1 Seguridad general

z La instalación en recintos húmedos debe realizarla siempre un

especialista.

z No ponga el aparato en funcionamiento si presenta desperfec-

tos visibles.

z Sólo personal especializado puede realizar reparaciones en el

aparato. Si éstas no se llevan a cabo correctamente pueden
surgir peligros considerables.
Por ello, si necesita repararlo diríjase al servicio de atención al
cliente de WAECO.

z No abra nunca el circuito de refrigeración.
z Coloque el aparato en un lugar seco y protegido contra posibles

salpicaduras de agua.

z No coloque el aparato cerca de llamas vivas ni de otras

fuentes de calor (calefacción, radiación directa del sol,
estufas de gas, etc.).

z Evite que se obstruyan las ranuras de ventilación.
z ¡El aparato no es adecuado para guardar sustancias corrosivas

o disolventes!

z Sólo para barcos de más de 20 m de longitud.

z Antes de la puesta en marcha, compruebe si la tensión de

funcionamiento y la tensión de la batería coinciden (véase la
placa de características).

z ¡Peligro de muerte!

Para su uso en embarcaciones: En caso de funcionar conec-

tada a la red eléctrica, asegúrese de que el suministro de co­rriente esté protegido con un interruptor diferencial.

z A fin de evitar cualquier tipo de peligro, cambie el cable de co-

nexión cuando esté dañado. Cambie siempre los cables de co­nexión dañados por otros del mismo tipo y especificación.

z Las personas que, debido a sus capacidades físicas, sensoria-

les o mentales, a su falta de experiencia o a desconocimiento,
no pueden utilizar la nevera de forma segura, no tienen permi­tido utilizar este aparato sin la vigilancia y las instrucciones de
una persona sobre la que recae tal responsabilidad.

2.2 Seguridad durante el funcionamiento del aparato

Guarde y utilice el aparato fuera del alcance de los niños.

z Descongele regularmente el aparato para ahorrar energía.
z Si conecta el aparato a una batería, asegúrese de que los ali-

mentos no entren en contacto con el ácido de la batería.

z Proteja el aparato de la lluvia y la humedad.

batería, antes de cargar la batería con un cargador rápido.
Las sobretensiones pueden dañar la electrónica de los apara­tos.

4 Uso adecuado

La nevera es apta tanto para enfriar como para congelar alimentos.
El aparato también es apto para su funcionamiento en
embarcaciones.

En caso de que necesite enfriar medicamentos, compruebe que la potencia
de refrigeración del aparato se corresponda con los requisitos del medica­mento en cuestión.

5 Descripción técnica

La nevera CoolMatic CRP-40 es apta para su uso con una tensión continua
de 12 V o 24 V y, por lo tanto, puede utilizarse p. ej. en un camping o un bar­co. Además, se puede conectar a una red de 230 V mediante
el rectificador WAECO MPS-35.

Para su uso en embarcaciones, la nevera puede funcionar con un ángulo de
escora constante de 30º.

En la nevera se pueden enfriar o mantener fríos los productos. En el conge­lador se pueden congelar productos.

Todos los materiales utilizados en la nevera son aptos para alimentos. El cir­cuito de refrigeración no necesita mantenimiento y no contiene CFC.

Con el termostato se puede ajustar de forma continua la temperatura al valor
deseado.

El aparato está equipado con una unidad desmontable que se puede montar
por separado (fig. 2, página 3).

Indicaciones de seguridad para instalación en embarcacio­nes

En la instalación en embarcaciones, tenga en cuenta especialmen­te las siguientes indicaciones:

– El aparato está diseñado para un ángulo de escora de

hasta 30°. Al instalar la nevera, tenga en cuenta que debe estar
firmemente sujeta de acuerdo con esta particularidad. Si tiene
alguna consulta acerca de la instalación, diríjase a un taller es­pecializado acreditado.

– Coloque la nevera de manera que el aire caliente pueda circular

bien (bien hacia arriba o hacia los lados, fig. 4, página 4).

– La nevera está diseñada para temperaturas ambiente entre

+18 °C y +43 °C.

– En caso de funcionar conectada a la red eléctrica, asegúrese

de que el suministro de corriente esté protegido con un interrup­tor diferencial.

– Tenga también en cuenta todas las demás indicaciones de ins-

talación de este capítulo.

6.1 Instalación de la nevera

En funcionamiento continuo, la humedad del aire no debe superar el 90 %.
Instale la nevera en un lugar seco y protegido. Evite instalarla junto a fuentes

de calor como calefacciones, hornos de gas, tuberías de agua caliente, etc.
No deje la nevera expuesta al sol.

La nevera debe estar colocada de tal forma que el aire caliente pueda salir
adecuadamente. Para ello, garantice que haya una ventilación suficiente
(fig. 4, página 4).

Nota

El grupo frigorífico es extraíble y se puede montar, en caso de te­ner problemas de espacio, a una distancia de hasta 1,5 m de la ne­vera.

6.2 Desbloqueo

La nevera dispone de un mecanismo de bloqueo (fig. 5 1, página 5) que
también sirve como seguro de transporte. Se pueden realizar los siguientes
ajustes:

¡Atención!

Regule el mecanismo de bloqueo únicamente con la puerta abier­ta. Si lo utiliza con la puerta cerrada dañará el aparato.

z Dispositivo de sujeción (gire la rueda hasta el tope a la derecha): la

puerta está cerrada y asegurada.
Para abrir la puerta, empuje el tirador hacia arriba y abra la puerta.

z Vent (gire la rueda hacia la izquierda hasta el tope): La puerta está lige-

ramente abierta, pero fijada.
Utilice esta posición cuando, p. ej., la nevera vaya a estar sin funcionar
durante mucho tiempo.

6.3 Cambiar el sentido de apertura de la puerta

Puede cambiar la posición de las bisagras de la puerta, permitiendo abrirla
hacia la izquierda en lugar de hacia la derecha.

➤ Siga los pasos mostrados en fig. 6, página 5 hasta fig. 8, página 6

para cambiar el sentido de apertura de la puerta.

6.4 Conexión a una batería

La nevera puede funcionar con una tensión continua de 12 V o 24 V.

¡Atención!

A fin de evitar pérdidas de tensión y potencia, el cable debe ser lo
más corto posible y sin interrupciones.
Por lo tanto, evite instalar interruptores, enchufes o cajas de
distribución adicionales.

➤ Determine la sección necesaria del cable dependiendo de su longitud se-

gún fig. 9, página 6.

¡Atención!

Preste atención a que la polaridad sea correcta.

z Compruebe antes de poner en marcha el aparato que la tensión de fun-

cionamiento y la tensión de la batería coincidan (véase la placa de carac­terísticas).

➤ A la hora de realizar la conexión eléctrica, tenga en cuenta el esquema

de conexiones (fig. 0, página 7).

➤ Conecte la nevera (fig. a, página 7)

– directamente a los polos de la batería, si es posible, o
– a una conexión que esté asegurada como mínimo con 15 A (para

12 V) o 7,5 A (para 24 V).

¡Atención!

Desconecte el aparato y otros dispositivos consumidores de la
batería, antes de cargar la batería con un cargador rápido.
Las sobretensiones pueden dañar la electrónica de los apara­tos.

Por motivos de seguridad, la nevera está equipada con una protección con­tra polarización inversa electrónica que la protege si no se respeta la
polaridad al conectarla a la batería y también si se produce un cortocircuito.
Para proteger la batería, la nevera se desconecta automáticamente cuando
la tensión es insuficiente (véase la tabla siguiente).

6.5 Conexión a una red de 230 V

¡Peligro de muerte!

No manipule los enchufes ni interruptores con las manos mojadas
o con los pies sobre una superficie mojada.

¡Atención!

Si el refrigerador funciona en una embarcación a través de una co­nexión de tierra de 230V deberá conectar un interruptor de protec­ción FI entre la red de 230V y el refrigerado.
Déjese asesorar por un especialista.

➤ Para el funcionamiento de la nevera con la red de 230V, utilice el rectifi-

cador WAECO MPS-35.

Por razones de higiene, deberá limpiar la nevera por dentro y por
fuera con un paño húmedo antes de ponerla en funcionamiento
(véase también capítulo “Limpieza y mantenimiento” en la
página 68).

7.1 Consejos para el ahorro de energía

z Elija un lugar de emplazamiento correctamente ventilado y protegido de

la radiación solar.

z Si los alimentos están calientes, deje que se enfríen antes de introducir-

los en la nevera.

z Evite abrir la nevera más de lo necesario.
z No deje la puerta abierta más tiempo del necesario.
z Descongele la nevera cuando se forme una capa de escarcha.
z Evite regular una temperatura innecesariamente baja en el interior del re-

frigerador.

z Elimine regularmente el polvo y la suciedad del condensador.

7.2 Uso de la nevera

La nevera permite la conservación de alimentos frescos. Además, puede
conservar en el congelador alimentos congelados y congelar alimentos
frescos.

¡Atención!

Asegúrese de que las bebidas o los alimentos envasados en
recipientes de cristal no se enfríen demasiado.
Al congelarse bebidas o alimentos líquidos, éstos se dilatan. ello
podría provocar que se rompieran los recipientes de cristal.

¡Atención!

Los alimentos sólo se pueden guardar en los envases originales o
en recipientes adecuados.

➤ Para encender la nevera, gire el regulador (fig. 3 1, página 4) hacia la

derecha.

Nota

Después de encender la nevera, transcurrirán aproximadamente
60 s, hasta que arranque el compresor.

¡Atención!

Asegúrese de que en la nevera sólo se encuentren objetos o
productos que puedan enfriarse a la temperatura seleccionada.

Ajuste de la temperatura

Puede regular de forma continua la temperatura a través del regulador.
El termostato integrado regula la temperatura de la siguiente forma:

z mín. (tope izquierdo) = ajuste más caliente
z máx. (tope derecho) = ajuste más frío

Nota

La potencia frigorífica puede verse afectada por

– la temperatura ambiente,
– la cantidad de alimentos a refrigerar y
– la frecuencia con la que se abre la puerta de la nevera.

Conservación de alimentos

Puede conservar alimentos en la congelador. El tiempo de conservación de
los alimentos viene indicado normalmente en el envase.

a

¡Atención!

No conserve alimentos calientes en la congelador.
No coloque recipientes de cristal con contenidos líquidos en el con­gelador.

Nota

Conserve aquellos alimentos que absorben con facilidad olores y
sabores de otros alimentos, así como líquidos y productos con un
alto contenido en alcohol, en recipientes herméticamente cerra­dos.

La nevera está dividida en distintas zonas con distintas temperaturas:
z Las zonas más frías se encuentran directamente encima de los cajones

para verdura y fruta, cerca de la pared posterior.

z Preste atención a las indicaciones de temperatura y conservación dadas

en el envase de los productos alimenticios.

➤ Tenga en cuenta las siguientes indicaciones para la conservación de los

productos:

z En ningún caso vuelva a congelar aquellos productos descongelados o

que se estén descongelando. Consúmalos en la mayor brevedad posible.

z Envuelva los alimentos en papel de aluminio o en lámina de polietileno, y

guárdelos en envases, cerrándolos con la correspondiente tapa. De esta
manera conseguirá conservar mejor el aroma, la sustancia y la frescura
de los alimentos.

Descongelar la nevera

Es posible que la humedad del aire se deposite en forma de escarcha en el
evaporador o en el interior de la nevera, disminuyendo de este modo la po­tencia frigorífica. Descongele a tiempo el aparato.

¡Atención!

Nunca utilice herramientas duras o puntiagudas para retirar capas
de hielo o soltar productos que se hayan adherido al congelarse.

Para descongelar la nevera, proceda como se indica a continuación:

➤ Saque los productos del interior del refrigerador.
➤ En caso necesario, coloque los productos en otro frigorífico para mante-

nerlos fríos.

➤ Gire el regulador a la posición “0”.
➤ Deje abierta la puerta de la nevera.
➤ Elimine con un paño el agua de condensación formada o, en caso de dis-

poner de ella, vacíe la bandeja colectora de agua de condensación. Si su
nevera dispone de un desagüe para el agua de condensación, deje que
salga por dicho desagüe.

Desconexión y parada de la nevera

Si no va a usar la nevera durante un largo período de tiempo, proceda como
se indica a continuación:

➤ Gire el regulador a la posición “0”.
➤ Desconecte el cable de alimentación de la batería o extraiga el enchufe

del cable de corriente continua del rectificador de corriente.

➤ Limpie la nevera (véase capítulo “Limpieza y mantenimiento” en la

página 68).

➤ Coloque el bloqueo en la posición “VENT”.

De esta forma, evitará la formación de olores.

Asegurar la puerta de la nevera

Si lo desea, puede asegurar la puerta de la nevera contra, p. ej., una aper­tura involuntaria.

➤ Para ello, coloque el mecanismo de bloqueo de la parte superior de la

puerta en la posición 1 (fig. 5 1, página 5).

No emplee productos de limpieza corrosivos ni utensilios de limpie­za duros, ya que pueden dañar la nevera.

¡Atención!

Nunca utilice herramientas duras o puntiagudas para retirar capas
de hielo o soltar productos que se hayan adherido al congelarse.

➤ Limpie con un paño húmedo regularmente la nevera y tan pronto como

se ensucie.

➤ Preste atención a que no gotee agua en las juntas, pues ello podría dañar

el sistema electrónico.

➤ Tras la limpieza, seque la nevera con un paño.

9 Garantía legal

Rige el plazo de garantía legal. Si el producto presenta algún defecto, envíe­lo a la sucursal de WAECO de su país (véanse las direcciones al dorso de
este manual) o a su establecimiento especializado. Para la tramitación de la
reparación y de la garantía debe enviar también los siguientes documentos:

z una copia de la factura con fecha de compra,
z el motivo de la reclamación o una descripción de la avería.

10 Eliminación de desechos

– Descuelgue las puertas
– Deje las bandejas dentro de la nevera para que los niños no

puedan encaramarse a ella.

➤ Deseche el material de embalaje en el contenedor de reciclaje correspon-

Cuando vaya a poner el aparato definitivamente fuera de servicio, in­fórmese en el centro de reciclaje más cercano o en un comercio es­pecializado sobre las normas pertinentes de eliminación de
materiales.

2.1 Sicurezza generale

z Far installare gli apparecchi in luoghi umidi solo da un esperto.
z Se l'apparecchio presenta danni visibili, non metterlo in

funzione.

z L'apparecchio deve essere riparato solo da personale specializ-

zato. Le riparazioni effettuate in modo scorretto potrebbero cau­sare rischi enormi.
In caso di riparazioni, rivolgersi al Servizio Assistenza Clienti
WAECO.

z Non aprire in nessun caso il circuito di raffreddamento.
z Installare l'apparecchio in un posto asciutto e protetto da even-

tuali spruzzi d'acqua.

z Non collocare l'apparecchio nelle vicinanze di fiamme libere o

altre fonti di calore (riscaldamento, intensa esposizione ai raggi
solari, forni a gas ecc.).

z Fare attenzione che le feritoie di aerazione non vengano coper-

te.

z L'apparecchio non è adatto per il magazzinaggio di sostanze

corrosive o solventi!

z Solo per imbarcazioni altre i 20 metri di lunghezza.

z Prima della messa in funzione dell'apparecchio, controllare se

la tensione di esercizio e quella della batteria corrispondono
(vedi targhetta).

Per l'impiego su imbarcazioni: con il collegamento alla rete

fare in modo che l'alimentazione elettrica sia sempre controllata
da un interruttore differenziale!

z Se il cavo di allacciamento è danneggiato, per evitare pericoli,

è necessario sostituirlo. Sostituire un cavo di allacciamento
danneggiato solo con un cavo dello stesso tipo e con le stesse
specifiche.

z Le persone che, a causa delle proprie capacità fisiche, senso-

riali o mentali oppure della propria inesperienza e scarsa cono­scenza, non siano in grado di utilizzare il frigorifero in modo
sicuro, devono evitare di utilizzare questo apparecchio se non
in presenza e seguendo le istruzioni di una persona per loro re­sponsabile.

Conservare e impiegare l'apparecchio lontano dalla portata dei

z Sbrinare l'apparecchio a tempo debito per risparmiare energia.
z Quando l'apparecchio viene allacciato ad una batteria,

della stessa.

4 Uso conforme alla destinazione

Il frigorifero è adatto per raffreddare e surgelare alimenti. L'apparec­chio può essere impiegato anche su imbarcazioni.

Qualora si debbano conservare medicinali in frigorifero, controllare che
l'apparecchio disponga di una capacità di raffreddamento in grado di soddi­sfare i requisiti dei rispettivi farmaci.

5 Descrizione tecnica

Il frigorifero CoolMatic CRP-40 è adatto per essere impiegato con una ten­sione continua di 12 V o 24 V e può quindi essere utilizzato ad es. anche in
campeggio o su imbarcazioni. Può essere inoltre allacciato ad una rete da
230 V mediante un raddrizzatore MPS-35 WAECO.

Nel caso di impiego su imbarcazioni, il frigorifero può essere sottoposto ad
uno sbandamento continuo di 30°.

Il frigorifero raffredda e mantiene freddi i prodotti. Nel freezer è possibile sur­gelare gli alimenti.

Tutti i materiali utilizzati per la costruzione del frigorifero non sono pericolosi
per gli alimenti. Il circuito di raffreddamento non richiede manutenzione ed è
privo di CFC.

Mediante un termostato è possibile regolare la temperatura desiderata in
modo continuo.

L'apparecchio è dotato di un gruppo estraibile che può essere montato
separatamente (fig. 2, pagina 3).

Indicazioni di sicurezza per l'installazione su imbarcazioni

In caso di installazione su imbarcazioni prestare particolare atten­zione alle seguenti indicazioni:

– L'apparecchio è concepito per uno sbandamento massimo

di 30°. Durante l'installazione del frigorifero assicurarsi che l'ap­parecchio sia adeguatamente fissato per questa evenienza. Per
qualsiasi domanda sull'installazione rivolgersi a un tecnico spe­cializzato e adeguatamente istruito.

– Installare il frigorifero in modo tale da permettere all'aria riscal-

data di uscire senza difficoltà (o verso l'alto o lateralmente,
fig. 4, pagina 4).

– L'apparecchio è concepito per temperature ambiente comprese

fra +18 °C e +43 °C.

– Con il collegamento alla rete fare in modo che l'alimentazione

elettrica sia sempre controllata da un interruttore differenziale!

– Osservare anche le ulteriori indicazioni di sicurezza di questo

capitolo.

6.1 Installazione del frigorifero

In caso di esercizio continuo l'umidità dell'aria deve essere inferiore al 90%.
Installare il frigorifero in un posto asciutto e protetto. Non collocare l'apparec-

chio nelle vicinanze di fonti di calore (riscaldamenti, forni a gas, tubature
dell'acqua calda ecc.). Evitare l'esposizione diretta ai raggi solari.

Il frigorifero deve essere posizionato in modo tale che l'aria calda prodotta
possa fuoriuscire liberamente. Pertanto occorre garantire una ventilazione
sufficiente (fig. 4, pagina 4).

Nota

Il gruppo refrigerante è amovibile e in caso di problemi di spazio
può essere montato a 1,5 metri di distanza dal frigorifero.

6.2 Eliminazione del meccanismo di bloccaggio

Il frigorifero è provvisto di un meccanismo di bloccaggio (fig. 5 1, pagina 5),
utilizzabile anche come sicura per il trasporto. Sono possibili le seguenti re­golazioni:

a

Attenzione!

Regolare il meccanismo di bloccaggio solo con lo sportello aperto.
Se l'apparecchio viene usato con lo sportello chiuso, subisce dei
danni.

z Meccanismo di bloccaggio normale (girare la manopola verso destra

fino all'arresto): la porta è chiusa e bloccata.
Per aprire la porta, tirare la maniglia verso l'alto e aprire la porta.

z Vent (girare la manopola verso sinistra fino all'arresto): la porta è socchiu-

sa, ma fissata.
Utilizzare questa posizione quando l'apparecchio non viene utilizzato per
un lungo periodo di tempo.

6.3 Cambiamento del lato di apertura della porta

È possibile cambiare il lato di apertura della porta in modo tale da poterla
aprire da sinistra invece che da destra.

➤ Per cambiare il lato di apertura della porta, procedere come indicato da

fig. 6, pagina 5 a fig. 8, pagina 6.

6.4 Allacciamento ad una batteria

Il frigorifero può essere allacciato ad una tensione continua compresa tra
12 V e 24 V.

Attenzione!

Per evitare perdite di tensione e di potenza, il cavo dovrebbe esse­re il più corto possibile e non essere interrotto.
Evitare perciò interruttori, spine o scatole di derivazione
supplementari.

➤ Stabilire la sezione necessaria del cavo in funzione della sua lunghezza

Rispettare la giusta polarità.

z Prima della messa in funzione dell'apparecchio controllare se la tensione

di esercizio e quella della batteria corrispondono (vedi targhetta).

➤ Per il collegamento elettrico del frigorifero, fare riferimento anche allo

schema di allacciamento (fig. 0, pagina 7).

➤ Collegare il frigorifero (fig. a, pagina 7)

– il più direttamente possibile ai poli della batteria oppure
– ad uno slot con una protezione minima di 15 A (con 12 V) o 7,5 A

(con 24 V).

Attenzione!

Prima di caricare la batteria con un caricabatterie rapido, staccare
l'apparecchio e le altre utenze dalla batteria.
Le sovratensioni possono danneggiare il sistema elettronico
degli apparecchi.

Per motivi di sicurezza il frigorifero è dotato di una protezione elettronica con­tro l'inversione di polarità che protegge il frigorifero contro l'inversione di po­larità durante il collegamento della batteria e un eventuale cortocircuito. Per
proteggere la batteria il frigorifero si spegne automaticamente se la tensione
non è più sufficiente (vedi la tabella seguente).

6.5 Allacciamento ad una rete da 230 V

Pericolo di morte!

Non usare spine e interruttori se avete mani o piedi bagnati.

Attenzione!

Se il frigorifero si trova a bordo di un'imbarcazione ed è azionato
mediante un collegamento a terra con una rete da 230 V è neces­sario in ogni caso inserire un interruttore differenziale di protezione
fra la rete da 230 V e il frigorifero.
Fatevi consigliare da un esperto.

➤ Per far funzionare un frigorifero con una rete da 230 V, impiegare un rad-

drizzatore MPS-35 WAECO.

Per motivi igienici, prima della messa in funzione iniziale del frigo­rifero pulirne l'interno e l'esterno con un panno umido (vedi anche
capitolo “Pulizia e cura” a pagina 84).

7.1 Suggerimenti per risparmiare energia

z Scegliere un luogo di impiego ben aerato e riparato dai raggi solari.
z Prima di immagazzinare cibi caldi, lasciarli prima raffreddare.
z Non aprire il frigorifero più spesso del necessario.
z Non lasciare la porta aperta più del necessario.
z Sbrinare il frigorifero appena si è formato uno strato di ghiaccio.
z Evitare un abbassamento eccessivo della temperatura interna se non

necessario.

z Ad intervalli regolari eliminare dal condensatore polvere ed eventuali

impurità.

7.2 Impiego del frigorifero

Il frigorifero permette di conservare la freschezza degli alimenti. Nel freezer
è possibile inoltre conservare generi alimentari surgelati e congelare alimenti
freschi.

Attenzione!

Prestare attenzione a non raffreddare eccessivamente bevande o
vivande liquide conservate in contenitori di vetro, in quanto esse si
dilatano se congelate, provocando la rottura dei contenitori di vetro.

Attenzione!

I prodotti alimentari possono essere conservati solo nelle confezio­ni originali o in contenitori adeguati.

➤ Accendere il frigorifero ruotando il regolatore (fig. 3 1, pagina 4) verso

destra.

Attenzione!

Assicurarsi che nel frigorifero si trovino solo oggetti o prodotti che
possono essere raffreddati alla temperatura selezionata.

Regolazione della temperatura

Mediante il regolatore è possibile regolare la temperatura in modo continuo.
Il termostato integrato regola la temperatura nel modo seguente:

z min. (arresto sinistro) = temperatura regolata al massimo
z max. (arresto destro) = temperatura regolata al minimo

Nota

La potenza frigorifera può essere influenzata

– dalla temperatura ambiente,
– dalla quantità di alimenti da conservare,
– dalla frequenza delle aperture della porta.

Conservazione degli alimenti

Gli alimenti possono essere conservati nel vano frigorifero. Il periodo di con­servazione degli alimenti è di solito riportato sulla confezione.

Attenzione!

Non conservare alimenti caldi nel frigorifero.
Non mettere nel freezer contenitori di vetro contenenti liquidi.

Nota

Conservare in contenitori spessi gli alimenti che assorbono facil­mente odori e sapori quali liquidi e prodotti che contengono una
percentuale di alcol piuttosto alta.

Il vano frigorifero è suddiviso in diverse zone che presentano temperature
differenti:

z Le zone più fredde si trovano direttamente sopra i cassetti per la frutta e

la verdura in prossimità della parete posteriore.

z Attenersi alle indicazioni di temperatura e di scadenza riportate sulle con-

fezioni degli alimenti.

➤ Per la conservazione degli alimenti osservare le seguenti indicazioni:
z Non ricongelare mai prodotti che si stanno scongelando o sono già stati

scongelati, ma consumarli il più velocemente possibile.

z Avvolgere gli alimenti in un pellicola di alluminio o di polietilene e chiuderli

in contenitori adatti provvisti di coperchio in modo da conservarne meglio
gli aromi, la consistenza e la freschezza.

Sbrinamento del frigorifero

L'umidità dell'aria può condensarsi sul vaporizzatore o all'interno del frigori­fero formando brina la quale diminuisce la potenza frigorifera. Sbrinare per­ciò l'apparecchio a tempo debito.

Attenzione!

Non impiegare mai utensili duri o accuminati per rimuovere gli strati
di ghiaccio o per liberare oggetti congelati.

Per sbrinare il frigorifero, procedere come segue.

➤ Togliere i prodotti dal frigorifero.
➤ Metterli eventualmente in un altro frigorifero affinché si mantengano fred-

di.

➤ Ruotare il regolatore e portarlo su “0”.
➤ Lasciare la porta aperta.
➤ Asciugare la condensa oppure, se presente, svuotare la bacinella di rac-

colta. Se l'apparecchio dispone di uno scarico per la condensa, utilizzarlo
per il deflusso della condensa.

Come spegnere il frigorifero e lasciarlo spento per un periodo prolun­gato

Nel caso in cui il frigorifero non venga utilizzato per un lungo periodo di tem­po, procedere come segue:

➤ ruotare il regolatore e portarlo su “0”.
➤ staccare il cavo di allacciamento della batteria oppure estrarre la spina

della linea a corrente continua dal raddrizzatore.

➤ pulire il frigorifero (a riguardo vedi capitolo “Pulizia e cura” a pagina 84).
➤ posizionare il fermo su “VENT”.

In questo modo si impedisce la formazione di odori.

Bloccaggio della porta del frigorifero

È possibile bloccare la porta del frigorifero per impedirne ad es. un'apertura
accidentale.

➤ Portare il meccanismo di bloccaggio sul lato superiore della porta in posi-

zione 1 (fig. 5 1, pagina 5).

Attenzione!

Per la pulizia non impiegare detergenti corrosivi oppure oggetti ru­vidi, perché potrebbero danneggiare il frigorifero.

Attenzione!

Non impiegare mai utensili duri o accuminati per rimuovere gli strati
di ghiaccio o per liberare oggetti congelati.

➤ Con un panno umido pulire il frigorifero regolarmente e non appena sono

visibili tracce di sporco.

➤ Assicurarsi che non goccioli acqua nelle guarnizioni. Questo può danneg-

giare il sistema elettronico.

➤ Dopo aver pulito il frigorifero asciugarlo con un panno.

9 Garanzia

Vale il termine di garanzia previsto dalla legge. Qualora il prodotto risultasse
difettoso, La preghiamo di spedire il prodotto alla filiale WAECO del Suo
Paese (l'indirizzo si trova sul retro del manuale di istruzioni), oppure al riven­ditore specializzato di riferimento. Per la riparazione e per il disbrigo delle
condizioni di garanzia è necessario inviare la seguente documentazione:

z una copia della fattura con la data di acquisto del prodotto,
z un motivo su cui fondare il reclamo, oppure una descrizione del guasto.

10 Smaltimento

Prima di smaltire il vostro frigorifero:

– scardinare le porte.
– lasciare i piani d'appoggio all'interno del frigorifero in modo che

i bambini non possano usarli come mezzi di salita.

➤ Raccogliere il materiale di imballaggio possibilmente negli appositi conte-

nitori di riciclaggio.

Quando l'apparecchio viene messo fuori servizio definitivamente, in­formarsi al centro di riciclaggio più vicino, oppure presso il proprio ri­venditore specializzato, sulle prescrizioni adeguate concernenti lo
smaltimento.

2 Veiligheidsinstructies

2.1 Algemene veiligheid

a

z Laat installaties in vochtige ruimtes alleen door een vakman

plaatsen.

z Als het toestel zichtbaar beschadigd is, mag het niet in gebruik

worden genomen.

z Reparaties aan dit toestel mogen uitsluitend door vaklui uitge-

voerd worden. Door ondeskundige reparaties kunnen grote ge­varen ontstaan.
Neem contact op met de WAECO-klantenservice wanneer een
reparatie nodig is.

z Open in geen geval het koelcircuit.
z Stel het toestel op een droge en tegen spatwater beschermde

plaats op.

z Zet het toestel niet in de buurt van open vlammen of andere

warmtebronnen (verwarming, sterke zonnestraling, gasovens
enz.).

z Let erop dat de ventilatiesleuven niet worden afgedekt.
z Het toestel is niet geschikt voor de opslag van bijtende of oplos-

middelhoudende stoffen!

z Alleen voor schepen langer dan 20 m.

z Controleer voor ingebruikneming van het toestel, of de bedrijfs-

spanning en de accuspanning overeenkomen (zie typeplaatje).

z Levensgevaar!

Bij gebruik op boten: als uw toestel op het stroomnet is aan-

gesloten, dient u er absoluut voor te zorgen dat de stroomtoe­voer via een aardlekschakelaar beveiligd is!

z Als de aansluitkabel is beschadigd, moet deze worden vervan-

gen om gevaren te voorkomen. Vervang een beschadigde aan­sluitkabel alleen door een aansluitkabel van hetzelfde type en
met dezelfde specificatie.

z Personen die door hun psychische, sensorische of geestelijke

vaardigheden of hun onervarenheid of onwetendheid niet in
staat zijn om de koelkast veilig te gebruiken, mogen dit toestel
niet zonder toezicht of instructie door een verantwoordelijke
persoon gebruiken.

2.2 Veiligheid bij het gebruik van het toestel

a

z Elektrische toestellen zijn geen speelgoed!

Bewaar en gebruik het toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen.

z Ontdooi het toestel op tijd, om energie te sparen.
z Als u het toestel op een accu aansluit, zorg er dan voor, dat le-

vensmiddelen niet met accuzuur in aanraking komen.

z Bescherm het toestel tegen regen en vocht.

z Koppel het toestel en andere verbruikers van de accu los,

voordat u de accu met een snellader oplaadt.
Overspanningen kunnen de elektronica van de toestellen be­schadigen.

Koppel het toestel van de accu los als u het lang niet gebruikt.

z Levensgevaar!

Raak nooit blanke leidingen met blote handen aan. Dit geldt
vooral bij het gebruik op het wisselstroomnet.

4 Gebruik volgens de voorschriften

De koelkast is geschikt voor het koelen en diepvriezen van levens­middelen. Het toestel is ook voor het gebruik op boten geschikt.

Als u medicijnen wilt koelen, gelieve dan te controleren of het koelvermogen
van het toestel aan de vereisten van het betreffende medicijn voldoet.

5 Technische beschrijving

De CoolMatic koelkast CRP-40 is geschikt voor het gebruik met een
gelijkspanning van 12 V of 24 V en kan zodoende bijv. ook bij kamperen of
op boten worden gebruikt. Bovendien kan het toestel via de WAECO ge­lijkrichter MPS-35 op een 230-V-net worden aangesloten.

Bij het gebruik op boten kan de koelkast aan een permanente helling van 30°
worden blootgesteld.

De koelkast kan waren afkoelen en koel houden. In het vriesvak kunnen wa­ren worden diepgevroren.

Alle in de koelkast gebruikte materialen zijn geschikt voor levensmiddelen.
Het koelcircuit is onderhouds- en CFK-vrij.

Via een thermostaat kan de gewenste temperatuur traploos ingesteld wor­den.

Het toestel is met een afneembaar en separaat monteerbaar koelaggregaat
uitgerust (afb. 2, pag. 3).

Veiligheidsinstructies voor de installatie op boten

Neem bij de installatie op boten met name de volgende aanwijzin­gen in acht:

– Het toestel is ontworpen voor een helling van max. 30°. Neem

bij het opstellen van de koelkast in acht dat het toestel voor
deze omstandigheden moet zijn beveiligd. Neem bij vragen
over de installatie contact op met een gekwalificeerde en ge­specialiseerde firma.

– Stel de koelkast zo op dat de verwarmde lucht goed kan weg-

trekken (naar boven of naar de zijkanten, afb. 4, pag. 4).

– Het toestel is bestemd voor omgevingstemperaturen tussen

+18 °C en +43 °C.

– Als uw toestel op het stroomnet is aangesloten, dient u er abso-

luut voor te zorgen dat de stroomtoevoer via een aardlekscha­kelaar beveiligd is!

– Neem ook alle andere installatie-instructies in dit hoofdstuk in

acht.

6.1 Koelkast opstellen

Bij continu bedrijf mag de luchtvochtigheid niet boven 90 % liggen.
Stel het koeltoestel op een droge, beschermde plaats op. Stel het toestel niet

naast warmtebronnen zoals verwarmingen, gasovens, warmwaterleidingen
etc. op. Plaats het toestel niet op een plek waar de zon er lang en direct op
schijnt.

Het koeltoestel moet zo staan, dat de verwarmde lucht goed kan wegstro­men. Zorg daarom voor voldoende ventilatie (afb. 4, pag. 4).

Instructie

Het koelaggregaat is afneembaar en kan bij plaatsproblemen tot
een afstand van 1,5 m van de koelbox worden gemonteerd.

6.2 Vergrendeling losmaken

De koelkast beschikt over een vergrendelingsmechanisme (afb. 5 1,
pagina 5) dat ook als transportbeveiliging dient. De volgende instellingen zijn
mogelijk:

a

Waarschuwing!

Verstel het vergrendelingsmechanisme alleen bij een geopende
deur. Bij gebruik bij een gesloten deur raakt het toestel beschadigd.

z Normale vergrendeling (schijf tot de aanslag naar rechts draaien): de

deur is gesloten en vergrendeld.
Om de deur te openen trekt u de deurgreep naar boven en opent u de deur.

z Vent (schijf tot de aanslag naar links draaien): de deur is iets geopend,

maar wel vastgezet.
Gebruik deze positie als u het toestel langere tijd buiten bedrijf stelt.

6.3 Deuraanslag wijzigen

U kunt de aanslag van de deur wijzigen, zodat de deur naar links in plaats
van naar rechts opengaat.

➤ Ga te werk zoals in afb. 6, pag. 5 tot afb. 8, pag. 6 weergegeven om

de deur-aanslag te wijzigen.

6.4 Op een accu aansluiten

De koelkast kan met 12 V of met 24 V gelijkspanning gebruikt worden.

Waarschuwing!

Om spannings- en vermogensverlies te vermijden, moet de kabel
zo kort mogelijk en niet onderbroken zijn.
Vermijd daarom extra schakelaars, stekkers of verdeeldozen.

➤ Bepaal de nodige kabeldiameter afhankelijk van de kabellengte aan de

hand van afb. 9, pag. 6.

Waarschuwing!

Neem de juiste polariteit in acht.

z Controleer voor ingebruikname van het toestel of de bedrijfsspanning en

de accuspanning overeenkomen (zie typeplaatje).

➤ Neem voor de elektrische aansluiting ook het aansluitschema (afb. 0,

pag. 7) in acht.

➤ Sluit uw koelkast (afb. a, pag. 7)

– zo direct mogelijk op de polen van de accu aan of
– op een insteekplaats aan, die met minstens 15 A (bij 12 V) resp. 7,5 A

(bij 24 V) is beveiligd.

Waarschuwing!

Koppel het toestel en andere verbruikers van de accu los, voordat
u de accu met een snellader oplaadt.
Overspanningen kunnen de elektronica van de toestellen
beschadigen.

Voor de veiligheid is de koelkast met een elektronische beveiliging tegen ver­keerd polen uitgerust, die de koelkast tegen verkeerd polen bij de accu­aansluiting en tegen kortsluiting beschermt. Voor de bescherming van de
accu schakelt de koelkast automatisch uit, als de spanning niet meer vol­doende is (zie de volgende tabel).

6.5 Op een 230-V-net aansluiten

Levensgevaar!

Werk nooit met stekkers en schakelaars, als u natte handen heeft
of met uw voeten op een natte ondergrond staat.

e

Waarschuwing!

Als u uw koeltoestel aan boord van een boot per landaansluiting op
het 230-V-net gebruikt, moet u in ieder geval een aardlekschake­laar tussen 230-V-net en koeltoestel schakelen.
Laat u adviseren door een vakman.

➤ Gebruik bij bedrijf van de koelkast op het 230-V-net de WAECO gelijkrich-

ter MPS-35.

7 Koelkast gebruiken

Voor u de nieuwe koelkast in gebruik neemt, moet u hem om hy­giënische redenen van binnen en van buiten reinigen met een
vochtige doek (zie ook hoofdstuk „Reiniging en onderhoud” op
pagina 100).

7.1 Tips om energie te sparen

z Kies een goed geventileerde en tegen zonnestralen beschermde plaats.
z Laat warme spijzen eerst afkoelen, voordat u ze in het koeltoestel legt.
z Open de koelkast niet vaker dan nodig.
z Laat de deur niet langer openstaan dan nodig.
z Ontdooi de koelkast zodra er zich een ijslaag gevormd heeft.
z Vermijd een onnodig lage binnentemperatuur.
z Verwijder regelmatig stof en vuil van de condensator.

7.2 Koelkast gebruiken

De koelkast zorgt voor het conserveren van verse voedingsmiddelen. Boven­dien kunt u in het vriesvak diepgevroren levensmiddelen conserveren en
verse voedingsmiddelen invriezen.

Waarschuwing!

Let erop dat u dranken en levensmiddelen in glazen flessen/potten
niet te sterk afkoelt.
Bij het bevriezen zetten dranken of vloeibare levensmiddelen uit.
Hierdoor kunnen de glazen flessen/potten kapot gaan.

a

Waarschuwing!

Levensmiddelen mogen alleen in de originele verpakkingen of in
geschikte bakken worden opgeslagen.

➤ Schakel de koelkast in door de regelaar (afb. 3 1, pagina 4) naar rechts

te draaien.

Instructie

Na het inschakelen heeft de koelkast ongeveer 60 s nodig tot de
compressor begint te lopen.

Waarschuwing!

Zorg ervoor dat er zich alleen voorwerpen of waren in de koelkast
bevinden die op de gekozen temperatuur gekoeld mogen worden.

Temperatuur instellen

U kunt de temperatuur traploos via de regelaar instellen. De geïntegreerde
thermostaat regelt de temperatuur als volgt:

z min. (aanslag links) = warmste instelling
z max. (aanslag rechts) = koudste instelling

Het koelvermogen kan worden beïnvloed door

– de omgevingstemperatuur,
– de hoeveelheid levensmiddelen die geconserveerd dienen te

worden,

– het aantal keren dat de deur wordt geopend.

Levensmiddelen conserveren

U kunt in het koelvak levensmiddelen conserveren. De conserveringstijd van
de levensmiddelen is doorgaans op de verpakking aangegeven.

a

Waarschuwing!

Bewaar geen warme levensmiddelen in het koelvak.
Zet geen glazen flessen/potten met vloeistoffen in het vriesvak.

Instructie

Bewaar levensmiddelen, die snel geuren en smaken in zich opne­men, zoals vloeistoffen en producten met een hoog alcoholpercen­tage, in dichte potten/flessen/bakjes.

Het koelvak is in verschillende zones verdeeld, die verschillende temperatu­ren hebben:

z De koude zones bevinden zich direct boven de laden voor fruit en groen-

te, dicht bij de achterwand.

z Neem de gegevens m.b.t. temperatuur en houdbaarheid op de verpakkin-

gen van de levensmiddelen in acht.

➤ Neem de volgende instructies bij het conserveren in acht:
z Vries producten, die aan het ontdooien zijn of ontdooid zijn, in geen geval

opnieuw in, maar nuttig deze zo snel mogelijk.

z Wikkel de levensmiddelen in aluminium- of polyethyleenfolies en stop ze

in afsluitbare bakken met deksel. Daardoor worden de aroma's, de sub­stantie en de versheid beter geconserveerd.

Koelkast ontdooien

Luchtvochtigheid kan zich op de verdamper of in de binnenruimte van de
koelkast als rijp afzetten, waardoor het koelvermogen vermindert. Ontdooi
het toestel op tijd.

Waarschuwing!

Gebruik nooit hard of spits gereedschap voor het verwijderen van
ijslagen of het losmaken van vastgevroren voorwerpen.

Ga als volgt te werk om de koelkast te ontdooien:

➤ Neem de waren eruit.
➤ Bewaar deze evt. in een ander koeltoestel zodat ze koud blijven.
➤ Zet de regelaar op „0”.
➤ Laat de deur open.
➤ Veeg het dooiwater weg of – indien voorhanden – maak de opvangbak

leeg. Als uw toestel over een dooiwateruitloop beschikt, laat u het dooi­water hierlangs weglopen.

Koelkast uitschakelen en stilleggen

Als u de koelkast lange tijd wilt stilleggen, gaat u als volgt te werk:

➤ Draai de regelaar op stand „0”.
➤ Koppel de aansluitkabel van de accu los of trek de stekker van de ge-

lijkstroomleiding uit de gelijkrichter.

➤ Reinig de koelkast (zie hoofdstuk „Reiniging en onderhoud” op

pagina 100).

➤ Zet de vergrendeling in de „VENT”-stand.

Zo voorkomt u geurvorming.

Koelkastdeur vergrendelen

U kunt de koelkastdeur bijv. tegen onbedoeld openen vergrendelen.
➤ Zet het vergrendelingsmechanisme op de bovenkant van de deur op po-

sitie 1 (afb. 5 1, pagina 5).

8 Reiniging en onderhoud

Waarschuwing!

Gebruik voor het reinigen geen bijtende schoonmaakmiddelen of
harde voorwerpen, de koelkast zou hierdoor beschadigd kunnen
raken.

Waarschuwing!

Gebruik nooit hard of spits gereedschap voor het verwijderen van
ijslagen of het losmaken van vastgevroren voorwerpen.

➤ Reinig de koelkast regelmatig en als hij vuil is met een vochtige doek.
➤ Let erop dat er geen water in de afdichtingen druppelt. Dit kan de elektro-

nica beschadigen.

➤ Veeg de koelkast na het reinigen met een doek droog.

9 Garantie

De wettelijke garantieperiode is van toepassing. Als het product defect is,
stuur het dan naar het WAECO filiaal in uw land (zie adressen achterkant van
de handleiding) of naar uw speciaalzaak. Voor de afhandeling van de
reparatie of garantie dient u de volgende documenten mee te sturen:

z een kopie van de factuur met datum van aankoop,
z reden van de klacht of een beschrijving van de storing.

10 Afvoer

Gevaar! Gevaar voor kinderen

Voor het afvoeren van uw oude koelkast:

– Haak de deuren uit
– Laat de aflegvlakken in de koelkast, zodat kinderen er niet kun-

nen instappen.

➤ Laat het verpakkingsmateriaal indien mogelijk recyclen.

Als u het toestel definitief buiten bedrijf stelt, informeer dan bij het
dichtstbijzijnde recyclingcentrum of uw speciaalzaak naar de betref­fende afvoervoorschriften.
