Wadia 27ix: Beauty is in the Details
Since 1988, Wadia’s philosophy has been to develop new techniques for extracting subtle musical details that enhance the emotional impact of recorded music. What distinguishes Wadia from the multitude of competitors is our depth of knowledge of digital technology combined with profound care and appreciation for the power of music.
Sitting firmly at the pinnacle of digital and analog circuit design, The Wadia 27ix bears the fruit of this effort more spectacularly than any previous Wadia product.
Digimaster™ 1.2 Digital Filter
With 24-bit capability, this is the most advanced version of the patented DigiMaster system to date. The DigiMaster filter is optimized to preserve subtle time and phase information critical to music reproduction – an approach that has been acknowledged around the world as being the most musically realistic available.
Direct Connect™ with Digital Volume Control
Direct-Connect allows the Wadia 27ix to be connected directly to a power amplifier, bypassing the losses inherent in any preamplifier. For maximum resolution, this latest version can be optimized to match your system’s sensitivity ensuring that the digital volume control is operated near the top of its range.
ClockLink™
When paired with a CD Transport such as the Wadia 270, the ClockLink system provides the most stable possible clock by positioning the master oscillator adjacent to the DAC chips rather than in the transport. The result is lower jitter and better sonic performance than is possible in conventionallyclocked systems.
Constant-Current Power Supply
Much like a Class-A power amplifier output stage, Wadia’s Constant-Current power supply delivers 60 watts of continuous power to the Wadia 27ix circuitry. Power not needed by the circuitry is dissipated using the massive chassis as a heat sink. This Constant-Current supply gives the Wadia 27ix a sense of effortless, relaxed power unmatched by typical power supplies.
Modular Design
Upgrade flexibility is a pillar of Wadia philosophy. With extensive softwareconfigurable circuitry, six separate circuit boards, and a modular rear panel, the Wadia 27ix is ready for upgrades. In addition, internal circuitry already operates with resolution and bandwidth equal to or better than any of the proposed new formats. No one is better prepared for future technology than Wadia 27ix owners.
Beauty is in the Details
The result of these technologies is that the Wadia 27ix allows you to experience the full impact of your favorite artists, to experience moments of reflection and understanding, and to listen in amazement to the strength of human emotion communicated through music.
