About Vype ePen battery

Vype ePen contains a lithium-polymer battery.

Disposal and recycling of Vype products

Electrical and electronic goods and batteries should not be
disposed of as part of regular household waste, but should
be separately collected for recovery and recycling. We are
committed to minimising our impact on the environment –

recycling programme and how to return used products to us.

Important product use information

• To avoid risk of fire, injury and/or damage to your Vype

ePen or other property, only charge yo

ur Vype ePen
battery with the equipment provided in your Vype ePen
starter kit or with compatible Vype charging accessories
(available at govype.com).

• Rating input of USB charging cable:

DC 4.2 V 500 mA

• The build-up of dirt inside your Vype ePen top and the top

of your battery unit may prevent you from enjoying your
experience and it may disrupt normal charging. To prevent
this, check and, if necessary, detach your ePen top from
the ePen battery, clean with a dry cloth and carefully blow
into the ePen top to dislodge any build-up of dirt.

• The ePen will stop charging after a period of 3 hours.

It has an overvoltage, an overcu

rrent and a short-circuit

protection function.

• The battery controller has a short circuit protection

function: during inhalation, if the battery short-circuits,
the light on the button will flash red 3 times and the
battery will shut down.

• Your ePen device is only suitable for operation between

0-40°C. If your device is operated outside of this
temperature range it may be damaged or stop working.

• Keep Vype products dry. Precipitation, humidity or

moisture can corrode electronic circuits.

• The recommended storage temperature for Vype

products is between 0-25°C.

• If either the or button is pressed for more than

8 second

s, the light on the device will flash red and the
ePen will shut down. To restart the ePen, follow the
‘How to use’ instructions on page two.

• Protection provided by the equipment may be impaired

if used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer.

• Do not use e-cigarettes when you, or anyone in the

vicinity, is using oxygen.

How to use

• For optimal performance, your ePen should be fully

charged before first use. Please refer to the following
page for more information on how to charge.

• Open the device by detaching the ePen top from the

ePen battery.

• Remove the silicone cover on the ePen cap before

screwing it onto the ePen battery. Be careful not to
over-tighten.

• Once the ePen cap is securely attached to the ePen

battery, place the ePen top back over the ePen cap
and push gently to secure.

• To switch on your ePen, rapidly click the double arrow

button or single arrow button three times. The
ePen will confirm that it is switched on by illuminating
the LED for three seconds.

• To begin your vaping experie

nce, press one of the two
buttons and hold it down whilst inhaling. The LED will
illuminate white.

• This device is equipped with two voltage settings.

Press and hold the double arrow button for more
vapour, press and hold the single arrow for less
vapour.

• If you press both buttons at the same time, your ePen

will not work.

• Only use Vype ePen caps with the Vype ePen device.

• The ePen can be locked by rapidly clicking on the

double arrow button or single arrow button three
times. The ePen will confirm that it has switched o
by flashing the LED three times.

• If the ePen remains unused for 10 minutes, it will

automatically switch o and will need to be switched
back o

n to use.

• To confirm whether your ePen is on or o, press either

of the buttons once. If the ePen is on, the LED will
illuminate for three seconds. If the ePen is o the LED
will not illuminate.

When to change your ePen cap

It’s time to change your ePen cap when:

• Your ePen stops producing vapour.

• You notice a deterioration in the taste or quality

of the vapour.
If your ePen stops producing vapour and the cap is not

yet empty, check your battery is fully charged.

Battery status indicators on your Vype ePen

When the ePen is turned on or o, or when either button is
pressed once when the ePen is on, the colour of the LED
will indicate the battery le

vel:

• Green: Your battery is charged.

• Amber: Your battery is running low.

• Red: You need to recharge your battery.

• Flashing Red: Your ePen is out of charge and will turn o.

Your ePen battery may run out of charge before the ePen
cap is finished so don’t automatically discard the cap when
charging the battery as there may still be e-liquid in it.

How to charge your Vype ePen

• To charge your ePen, attach the supplied USB charging

cable to the micro USB port on the base of the ePen.

• Connect the other end of the USB charging cable to the

USB port of a computer.

• When charging, the LED on the ePen will pulsate.

• When the LED shows continuous green, the

ePen
is fully charged and the USB charging cable should
be disconnected.

• It should take no longer than 2 hours to fully charge your

ePen battery.

• If your ePen LED starts to flash red rapidly whilst charging,

please disconnect and contact the customer care line.

• You can also charge your ePen using a Vype USB

car charger or Vype wall plug, which are available
at govype.com.
